Someone in the comments said, "One Weis down, one to go." We couldn't stop laughing.
We don't have any particular fondness for college football. Games are all about the money, not the scholar-athlete. One of the better books on the subject is "The Hundred Yard Lie" by Rick Telendar.
In any case, there's some really bad news attached to this event - the Bears are rumored to be looking at Charlie Weis to take over for Lovie Smith.

Your crazy sir. The Bears owe Loveness way too much guaranteed money over the next couple years. Charlie Weis will be relieving Ron Turner of his duties. And he can't do any worse than we already are.
Hire the Weis we already have, maybe he better at football than he is at Policing. He's already getting paid for two jobs, one more can't hurt ! (much).

Charlie Weis might make a decent offensive coordinator. The Bears could sure use one after the mess Ron Turner has made of the offense the last few years.
The thing is that the Bears really need an o-line more than anything else, and the only stab they made at fixing that problem was to pay a ton of money for an old man who used to be pretty darn good, but will probably not even be here next year.
The best teams are those that know how to select and develop talent. The Bears have been awful at that. Look at all the Bear castoffs that are starters on other teams now.

What a blow that would be to the working police!
With an obvious opportunity (contract expiration) to rid himself of this non-police piece of crap, the mayor's extension of steroid boys' contract would be a Daley Crime Family blunder for all concerned.
Tell me what he has done or accomplished that warrants his being the highest paid police administrator in America!

Agree. I never thought I would say this but: ANOTHER REASON TO DO LESS WORK. This is bullshit if it happens and would show the real contempt Shortshanks holds us in. As if we need another demonstration.

Agree with comment about J Weis and the Department but C Weis was the wrong guy for Notre Dame but might be what the bears need as an offensive coordinator. Hire C. Fire J.

I say this is B.S. They signed Lovie to big contract and the Bears are too cheap to pay him to leave and pay for a new coach. Besides Bill Cowher or Mike Shanahan that have winning records and are available. Plus Shanahan was Cutlers coach in Denver where he had good stats.
Besides they just need to get rid of Turner to get the offense moving.
Charlie will more than likely go right back to New England to be their offenssive coordinator &/or asst head coach so that he can move into Belichick job when he decides to retire.

Allow me to explain: As Supt J-Fraud Weis is the HMFMIC (HeadMotherFuckinMongloidInCharge) of the CPD. Masters is, in rank, technically below J-Fraud. Masters “should” report to J-fraud.
Here is the reason “should” is in parentheses… Masters was appointed and put in that position by Shortshanks himself, King Daley! Masters is Daley’s little spy. J-frauds buddy got launched after the debacle at the Taste of Chicago ’07. Heir Richard couldn’t reach anyone by phone, Little Daley’s little fuse burns, and he blows up…Daley couldn’t fire J-fraud because of #1) It would make King Daley look like an ass. And at the time, he still wanted “Da Limpiks”, and it would have reflected poorly in the eyes of “Da Limpik Kamitee”

Actually, the Chief of the LAPD is the highest paid administrator of a PD in America.
Bratton was paid $350 large per year before he quit a few weeks ago; I'm sure his successor (and the Mayor of LA went with HIS OWN LAPD RANKS) will earn the same.
Things went well with Bratton for the most part; wish the same could be said for WEISel's tenure here so far!
