Remember, Don't Park There

  • Chicago's overnight winter parking ban goes into effect at 3 a.m. Tuesday, meaning you need to be careful where you park tonight.

Those prime spots on the city's main arterial streets could turn into parking ticket/tow truck hazard zones.

If you get towed, it'll cost you $50 for the parking ticket, $150 for the towing fee and $10 a day for storage in the impound lot.

Shortshanks needs money, so we're taking the "over" this year.

It almost 12:15am & shanks is sitting home greedily scratching his palms in anticipation of all the money he's hoping to rape from the citizenry while watching the clock waiting for 3:00am. He's "broke" and can't afford salt & plows, but he already has plans to use the money on some pet project. He just hasn't decided which relative/friend he can hire to be in charge of it. He's made his list and he's checking it twice ! Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas Chicago. Feel that pain in your hind end ? It's only daley "dick (ing) you.

In 025 today, guy driving around in a small Streets and San truck. Stops, gets out a long-handled hammer, knocks the "Snow Parking Ban" signs back around the pole so that drivers can see them properly again. They've got revenue in their eyes for this winter, have no doubt.

Oh...couldn't they put some beef into it when tightening those signs in the first place, so they wouldn't slowly move around the pole in the wind -- or would that be "killin' the job?"

No need for the first watch guys to bother writing any parkers for this offense unless they are trying real hard to keep their spot.

I believe it was 243, and they only stopped because they ran out of time.
