Seattle Police Kill Mad Dog

  • The man suspected of gunning down four police officers in a suburban coffee shop was shot and killed by Seattle police early Tuesday, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Maurice Clemmons was shot to death in a working-class south Seattle neighborhood after police tracked him down using possible hiding spots supplied by Pierce County investigators, said Ed Troyer, a spokesman for the county sheriff.

We don't expect any rational explanation for what was done to our fellow officers in Washington to ever be found, but perhaps they can rest in peace knowing their killer is rotting in hell about now. Or at least their families might find some comfort.

My prayers to the families of the fallen officers. I hope they can get some peace now knowing that this monster will never walk the streets again.

It would be nice if they could get dept. cars again like they did for the coppers in oakland. remember the fallen and the families.

I don't know if this guy was legally insane or not but he was certainly very, very close.

But how could any human being not get on a cell phone when this guy shows up ? THe fact that one person failed to do this surprises me ... but 4 .... 5?

And that's 4 or 5 out of the first 4 or 5 people he made contact with ....because only ONE person called police. ONE PERSON.

This is the ghetto mentality out there. If this guy had been white, his own mother and father would have pumped him full of lead. But in a black neighborhood ...hey, it's OK bro ...you just hide right here and we'll get you a band-aid for that GSW.

JUSTICE IS SERVED!

The murderer of 4 PO's in Washington State has been shot and killed by police. Great job by our brothers and sisters there! No court, no liberal apologists lamenting in court about how unfortunate the assassins' life has been and how no one cared about him as a child and gee, the poor man was misunderstood, etc. etc.

F*ck him and his friends and family who have reportedly aided and abetted his flight from law enforcement since his assassination of the officers. He will now be judged in the afterlife where no bleeding hearts can champion his cause as they did for Mumia Abu-Jamal (who was convicted and sentenced to death for the December 9, 1981 murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner), or Rubin "Hurricane" Carter who was convicted twice for the murder of three people.

This one ended the way it should have. Now let everyone grieve for the REAL victims here, the heroes in uniform and their families. God bless them and all who do this thankless job!

The Killer of four Lakewood Police Officers was himself shot and killed by a lone Seattle Police Officer. Only by the grace of God and training did the lone Seattle P.O. survive the encounter. He could have easily have been the fifth victim.
Now, no courtroom theatrics, no lawyers looking to make a name for themselves among career criminals, no liberal pukes in court crying about how unfortunate the killer's life has been and how no one cared about him as a child, how he was misunderstood, how he was mentally incompetent, bi-polar, sexually abused as a child, etc. etc.
That monster Clemmons will become Huckabee's Willie Horton.

The drive from 3510 S. Michigan Ave. to the Lakewood (WA) P.D. station, 9401 Lakewood Dr. SW, is 2077 miles and over a 30 hour drive, ninety percent on westbound Interstate 90.

If your driving in marked CPD squad cars, you had better get moving.

Arrangements could also be made with state police covering I-90 in WI, MN, SD, MT, ID and WA states.

Let's roll, up to four uniformed officers to a car.

Not surprising, but almost equally disturbing that the family and friends of the cop-killer went through great pains to help hide him knowing he just killed 4 police officers.
According to Washington police they gave false tips to throw off police.
Fortunately, unlike in Chicago, when they were determined to be accomplices, THEY WERE ARRESTED AND CHARGED!

Police said they aren't sure what prompted Clemmons to shoot the four officers, who were in uniform and working on paperwork at the coffee shop just two blocks outside their jurisdiction.

"The only motive that we have is he decided he was going to go kill police officers," Troyer said. He said Clemmons talked the night before the shooting about killing a group of cops and watching the news.

Police believe Clemmons chose the coffee shop because it was frequented by police officers from various agencies.

"We do not believe that the Lakewood officers were actually targeted other than that they were police officers in that location at the time where he knew he could find police officers."

ANOTHER REASON TO BE CAREFUL WHEN VISITING KNOWN POLICE HANGOUTS! WE ARE ALWAYS TARGETS IN UNIFORM.

That South Pct. SPD officer should be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. Since Clemmons was obviously a good marksman and armed with one of the slain Lakewood officers weapons, the line between a live hero investigating an abandoned steal and yet another dead cop is slim indeed. The officer first spotted and recognized Clemmons as he was approaching him from behind as he sat in his SPD squad car writing the report.

Aside from being eaten alive by a thousand rats in a Seattle sewer, this was the best possible outcome to this manhunt of all manhunts.

To have this piece of shit on death row for years at Walla Walla awaiting the merciful needle would only add to the pain of the surviving loved ones, the Lakewood PD and police everywhere.

May God give the families some closure and a sense of peace knowing that Clemmons is now burning in Hell.

The location of the muthafucka's demise is five miles south straight out Martin Luther King Way from the site of the futile SWAT assault on the premises in the Leschi neighborhood of East Seattle.

I believe that anyone who knowingly aided and abetted cop killer Clemmons in his flight should leave Walla Walla in a pine coffin after serving natural life with no possibility of parole.

The following was sent to Bill O'Reilly of Fox News:

Dear Mr. O’Reilly—

You can spin it any way you’d like to on the “No Spin Zone” about how Mike Huckabee is a “stand up guy”. But the bottom line is: He commuted the sentence of Maurice Clemmons, thereby making him eligible for parole. You don’t get a 108 year sentence for pitching pennies on the street corner. The Washington State judges, as despicable as their decisions were in this matter, wouldn’t have even been involved if this piece of human garbage was still rotting in an Arkansas prison for his initial sentence.

You dropped the ball on this one sir. Huckabee is most certainly accountable in allowing Clemmons to walk. Clemmons killed four innocent police officers for no reason. You just let your fellow Fox contributor off the hook. Fair and balanced? Hmmm. Not this time anyway. I’ve been a Factor fan since the beginning, but this segment left me very disappointed.

Sincerely,

Sean Glinski

New Proposed Police Board Ordinance:

The ordinance would:

* Cut annual stipends of board members from $15,000 to $5,000, and cut the chair's stipend from $25,000 to 7,500
* Impose a 10-year term limit on board members
* Require the board to record the votes of each member and post them on its website within two days
* Remove board members who miss more than three meetings or fail to vote in 15 percent of the cases during a year
* Provide a written explanation of the board's findings and decisions in each case

Why don't they make Police board members attend the actual hearings?

This ordinance will not end the railroading of innocent officers.

Bill said don't worry about him. He asked that monies be donated to the families of the four slain police officers. An account has been established.

From your link:

Clemmons eluded capture thanks to family and friends who provided him with shelter, cell phones, cash and first aid for the severe belly wound he suffered when one of the dying officers in Sunday's coffee-shop rampage got off a shot, police said. Six to seven of those associates were being arrested Tuesday.

Among them were an accomplice who drove the getaway truck after the rampage and Clemmons' sister, who bandaged him up and gave him a lift to a house in Seattle, police said.

All parties seemed to agree that the police board could do a better job of making their findings public, including posting reports online. Such changes would likely be included in the amended ordinance if it proceeds.

I dont care how this gets flamed but dammit already.....how many Officers have to DIE out here? How many families have to be torn apart by these over zealous pieces of shit? How many times do we have to swallow the bile in our throats when dealing with these ANIMALS? And how many times to we have to fight the urge to toss the bastards down a few flights of CHA stairs? Enough is enough already.

God Bless the Families of the Murdered Officers,Theirs is a place with God now. Nobody has thought of the obvious, this was a well planned and well orchestrated act of domestic terrorism.

Don't buy the media spin of "Mad Dog" was just a crazed ex-convict.

No, he was a self-admitted Black Muslim member of a splinter group Black Panther Party.

December 4,2009 is the 40th Anniversary of the Chicago Black Panther raid. Coincidence?

Black Muslim Group Celebrates “Brother & Martyr” White Cop Killer Maurice Clemmons, he was a fellow Muslim.

“For Many Are Called But Few Are Chosen.” BOW Martyr Against White Terrorist & Racist Police Regime (Maurice Clemmons) Adorned With Virgins, Jewelry & Crowned; “When the Battle is Over, We Shall Wear a Crown.” – Seattle Black Foot Soldiers

He intentionally went to a coffee shop owned by a retired copper and known to be frequented by on-duty uniformed PO's/"targets".

There were additional individuals who aided and abetted his escape and evasion. I believe these same individuals had prior knowledge and aided in the planning of this horrible act of sedition.

I believe that there is much more to this story than just some POS who was a "Mad Dog".

I may be wrong, but it is better to be safe than sorry. Keep your eyes and ears open and never be complacent!

God Bless the fallen LPD officers, their co-workers, families and friends!

Thank-You to the SPD Officer who stopped this animal from killing more innocent American citizens!

What about something different -- a rolling law enforcement convoy from Chicago to Milwaukee and Madison on I-94...then up to the Twin Cities...over to Bismarck, Billings, Bozeman...then Spokane and into Seattle. Invite local PD's to participate and through each of the major cities do a convoy in honor of the Lakewood officers.

In each of the state capitals there could be a brief memorial service and then on to the next.

You said it much better than I could have, even though I thought the same thing. O'Reily missed the boat on that one. I've noticed lately that he is sitting the fence and not taking a stand as he used to do. I was really ticked when he said Hukabee was "stand up guy". WTF

First, I'm glad this guy was killed. That's not something I would say often, but someone who cold bloodily kills four human beings needs to die.

Second, I guess time will tell how much help he received after the coffee shop murders, but if my brother executed four people in cold blood I'd like to think I'd turn his ass in. For the safety of others and myself and family.

Third, we live in a society where we simultaneously have too few and too many people in prison. There are a limited amount of resources and we need to concentrate on the seriously violent criminals.

There is no reasonable way in hell this guy should have been "free". At the very least he needed to be forcibly medicated and supervised, if not locked up in an asylum.

Our own CPD had an officer, Richard Francis, murdered in 2008 by a "head case" who should have been locked up. He was also working alone in a department where hundreds or perhaps even thousands of officers are "mis-assinged". Again a question of allocation of resources. I guess Alderman Burke having a security detail is more important than officer or citizen safety.

As a nation we really need to focus our criminal justice and mental health resources on the truly dangerous. But I'm angry and ranting so I'll say goodnight and stay safe to everyone reading this.

I'd like to offer a suggestion concerning the memorial service in Tacoma for the four slain officers.

Both the NYPD and the CPD obtain the services of a U.S. military Hercules C-130 transport to fly from JFK in Queens to O'Hare and on to McChord AFB with marked police cars in transport. Round trip after the memorial services.

Now that it's December, even the Interstate in and near the Rockies can get snowed in.

Brilliant idea, Bklyn North.

I was assigned to nearby Ft. Lewis. McChord AFB handles all the huge aircraft. It's across the street from the coffee shop.

A USAF C-130 would be ideal for vehicle transport. They could even fly the police officers from CPD and NYPD round-trip, uniforms perfectly pressed.

THE HERCULES C-130 IS A GREAT IDEA.

Then the 2 largest police depts. in USA can be represented at the services for our 4 murdered brothers and a sister.

Like never before, it's time to show nationwide police SOLIDARITY.

You know that between the PDs in Seattle, Tacoma, Lakewood and the Pierce and Kings Co. Sheriffs, lodging would be available for our officers.

The Air Force has plenty of C-130 transports. It could probably hold at least a dozen police vehicles.

To expand on Bklyn North's great idea, let's assume that the C-130 will hold 18 cars. Three cars from the PDs from Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore and D.C. join the NYPD at Kennedy Airport. The Hercules flies on to O'Hare and 3 CPD cars are also loaded on, destination McChord AFB.

Otherwise, this horrific massacre will require police to drive 4,000 to 6,000 miles round trip.

To have four police officers murdered in cold blood in one crime commands the full respect of the entire law enforcement community in mourning and tribute.
