Well, That Figures

We don't mention anything about the Bears on Monday Night Football because (A) they suck, (B) they've been eliminated from the post season, and (C) the best they can do is play spoiler for everyone else.

And then they win.

Lovie and company ought to be fired for not being able to get this sort of performance out of the team all year long.

The logical thing to do is to sit back and look at the entire season as a whole, and not just one game.

You cannot judge a team, and more importantly, a coaching staff in just 1/15th of their work.

Bottom line, while it was a great game to watch and it was great to see the Bears win again, even the average fan has to see that changes NEED to be made.

The Bears gave up 30 points in a half! Win or not, that cannot be acceptable.

Let's hope somebody at Halas Hall has the logic to see through this game and do the right thing.

I am FURIOUS that the Colts chose NOT to pursue a perfect record this season. There are not that many opportunities to become the GREATEST TEAM IN NFL HISTORY, and when you get the chance to shut up that f*cking 1972 Miami Dolphins team who thinks they were the greatest, I think you need to do just that!

Fuck the Bears!

Actually, we have to thank them for helping the Packers and humiliating the turncoat who's name shall remain unsaid.

Now back to regular programming....Fuck the Bears!

This game will result in everyone coming back next year! We really needed them to lose in order to clean house but now....2010, yawn...8-8! (better than 7-9 I guess)

Hey SCC! Do you think maybe you could not mention the Bears for all of next season? I mean, what the hell, whatever works right?!?!?! Oh! And please ignore the Cubs too!!!!

the normally reliable gould misses a 45 yarder which gives minnesota the ball on the bears 35 yard line.... peterson coughs up the ball after almost being decapitated by one of the most blatant facemask no calls of the season... cutler throws a nice pass for the game winner... feel good story, hardly, the bears still suck....

Many of the Bears current players will be serviceable for next year. Age and treachery will always overcome youthful enthusiasm.

LB should again be a team strength. Urlacher, barring inury, should be rejuvenated with this entire season off as is also the case with Pisa Tinoisamoa. Briggs is outstanding. The rest, Hillenmeyer, Roach and Jamar Williams have been solid fill-ins.

Ogunlye's price may have dropped with a season ending injury OR let him leave.

Tommy Smith, though awesome when healthy, may be better off elsewhere and will clear million of $$$$ in Cap Space, perhaps allowing them to sign Cutler's Denver teammate WR Brandon Lloyd.

The O line needs some help. A free agent perhaps, like when they brought in John Tait who was above average for years.

Orlando Pace lacks speed and is average, at best, after a HOF career.

Chris Williams may be ready to play L tackle.

Kreutz probably is better than anyone else you'll find.

Young players MUST step up.

Find the best football mind around and trust him to guide all football operations.

Bringing back Ron Rivera as Def. Coordinator should be a requirement of Lovie remaining with the team. I don't think the McCaskeys will fire Smith while still having to pay him $11 million!

But while I envision Lovie staying, Turner will go.

Angelo SHOULD BE a goner, as well.

Bringing in an offensive guy for Cutler is a must. NOT Shanahan as some are clamoring for, but Cutler's QB coach or Offensive Coordinator from last years' Broncos team, the ones that helped make Cutler an all pro and who know him the best.

Cutler had an off year, but I still believe he will be the answer to the Bears QB search for years to come.

Last but not least, Virginia McCaskey would be wise to take a good long look at what Rocky Wirtz has accomplished with the Chicago Blackhawks NHL franchise. The moves that he made since he took over the team following his fathers' passing, should be chronicled and titled "Professional Sports Franchise Building 101 - A return from obscurity"

I don't exactly think that our WR's stepped up and picked up the slack with Devin Hester was out. I think our WR's played WR and we put up 36 points without forcing the returner to play WR.

Rashied Davis still sucks. But Aromashodu and Bennett had solid games. I get mad because Jay Cutler always wants to throw to his girlfriend Olsen, but you can't really blame him when our receivers are so young and the veteran, Devin Hester, is at best a 3rd WR.

When will the Bears and the Park district FINALLY put in field turf? BTW, who has the sod contract for Soldier Field? They must make a killing for the amount of times they have to re-sod the field during the year.

As a football fan it was probably the best game I have seen all season.

Not a Bear fan, tho.

If the Viqueens had a cold weather QB, Bears would have been in real trouble.

Packers made the right decision on Favre. And the split was about as clean as could be expected.

You just hit the nail on the head as to why they won't put FieldTurf in Soldier Field.
