- Elton John said Friday that the summer leg of his joint concert tour with Billy Joel has been canceled. "It's not my decision, it's Billy's," John said at the Beverly Hills Hotel, during satellite TV interviews to promote the Chicago engagement of "Billy Elliot."
"He has decided to take a year off. It doesn't gel with my plans but he's a friend. And as an artist you have to respect his decision."
John said he was "bitterly disappointed" not to return to Wrigley. "That's the church."

Rumor has it that at least a few of the exempts who attended the Wrigley concerts are already asking Ruthie for U2 tickets for Soldier Field in July.

Hey guys, enough. I am not so sure about any of these rumours of Ruth Webster. She is an utmost personable women that really went out of her way to help people as a " boss ". Ruth reminds me of Maureen O'Hara. Ruth is a very striking beautiful person. Did anyone of you know that she actually qualified with the M4? Did the whole course and physical fitness test herself. Ruth set an example for women on this department that you can succeed if you are a women. Ruth is a class act.

You know what kills me, that there is more talk over this BS then there was over the Range getting its budget slashed by over one million dollars. yes that's right dollars, not rounds. Everyone keeps crying that the city does nothing for police well you are right let see how much training you get now that there is only enough ammo money to do prescribed weapon and nothing else. God know the bad guys are not shooting at us anymore! I guess we don't need the training.
Keep talking about this nonsense and the city wins. enough in-fighting and talking about each other. I cannot believe the Bus Drivers Union was the only one to stand up to the mayor and the city. Let the Chicago Police Department be 100% legitimate for just a day or a week and see how the city crumbles. TVB everyone, don't go out without you PPE, make sure you car is working 100%, report everything no matter how trivial, do contact cards on every person you stop, guy may be inside with a weapon get the warrant or call SWAT and follow ever GO to the letter.
let get over nonsense like this and get back to sticking together and fighting the true enemy city hall. Divided and concur has always been a great war plan and we are doing it to ourselves.

Hey I came out on the BLOG tonite to tell RUTH WEDSTER that she does look like a YOUNG MAUREEN O'HARA. You know...the actress. And the 2/20 posting at 209am was someone I know and it was a guy that is actually shy but could not stand all the negativity about RUTH WEDSTER. It took a lot for this guy to come out and stick up for Ruth. Ruth would probably never guess who the guy is. But all I can tell you is Ruth helped him out with a certain situation and he remembered her kindness for listening to him. Cops got feelings and are human. That's the whole point. I really wish I could tell you more but take it from me he did attend a party where he sat at her side. No hanky panky. Just being cool. And Ruth is a cool woman. Just setting the record straight. ( He did miss spell her name, and was sorry about that. Don't worry, he is a good guy )
Well I have zero friggin clout and I only want what I earn. I'm a range instructor, and Ruth Wedster has been through my class twice. She is and always was very down to Earth and approachable. She's a hell of a shot, as are a few other female white shirts, so don't think it's just a toy for boys. Not many people at the top realize just how important good aggressive range training is, but Ruth Wedster did. Don't sum people up by a specific event. If you have more than 5 years on then you have DEFINITELY done something you wish you could erase. We learn from our mistakes...hopefully.

Go and have another smoke if there is any time left in your day when you are not smoking already or teaching that one class a week you have. You should talk about ghost pay rolling, What have you contributed to any working police officer in the last five years..... drum roll please.... nothing.

Is this the same commander that was promoted secretly behind a closed door? The same commander who brought with her numerous clout babies to the academy? How many full duty females can they hide at the academy as secretaries? She might be a nice persons but not as a exempt.
All I know is that she is the only supervisor who testified "for" a fellow copper when he was a defendant in a criminal case. That took more balls then all of you assholes put together.

Agreed. Rex did a whole bunch of beatings, only to be ushered out the door on his 20th year. Ruthie spent more time sucking up to (then) cmdr Coffey than anything else. Competent patrolman, but by no means was she a trailblazer.
