- So a lady walks into the 008th district one night and says.....I have a fucking bomb here!!!!!! No joke.
Some dumbass decided that when she found a pipe bomb near her house, she would retrieve it and bring it to the police. This is one of the few times we actually recommend calling the police.
Supposedly, Bomb and Arson detonated the device in the parking lot.
We're wondering why she didn't bring it to the gun turn-in Sunday? J-Fled was pointing out inert hand grenades and speculating they'd get more than the $100 maximum. A live pipe bomb ought to be worth something.

OT did anyone see the Scumtimes article where a CPD officer was arrested by the FBI for trying to fix police board cases. Are u f*#"ing kidding me. What the hell is going on in this department!

hey SCC...its rumored she tried to......however...the Chicago Islamic Center, where weapons were being accepted across the street from 008 turned her down..... they don't accept anything under a pound of C4. Go figure!!!!!!

Over 20 years ago a PO got a call of suspicious device.Picked it up,brought it into 003,and yep.....it was a live homemade explosive.

She did call, no one showed up. The desk Sergeant ordered the P.O. to take it across the street. (What do the orders say again? Hmm?) It blew up while being defused.
Yes. Even we in 008th know how backlogged our officers are so hey, she didn't want for the next CAPS meeting to bring it in! LOL
Had it exploded in J-Fled's presence he would have received the Police medal of honor for that enormous head which would have shielded the entire community thus saving hundreds of lives! Now that's what I call "Grandstanding"

Luckily that pipe bomb did not explode when she brought it in! Thank GOD officers were all safe and ok! It is colder out crime will be down, but when the big warm up hits be ready and please back each other up be careful! To all my brothers and sisters in blue GOD BLESS all of you!
