Whoops

  • A 34-year-old man who died following a struggle with an employee of a Little Village drug store he allegedly robbed Saturday was strangled, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to an autopsy performed today at the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Chicago police today could not say whether any charges will be filed against the employee, saying only the investigation into Anthony Kyser's death was ongoing.

Authorities said Kyser was shoplifting from a CVS Pharmacy in the 2600 block of South Pulaski Road just before 11 a.m. Saturday. He was chased out of the store and ran into an alley next to the building. Kyser fell unconscious during a struggle with the employee of the pharmacy, officials said.

There's a reason stores have a "no chase" policy and stick the rest of us with higher prices to cater to the criminal element - liability. But we think a few more random stranglings might send the message to habitual shoplifters to knock off that shit. Prices might come down for the rest of us, too.

On a side note, rumor is that he was stealing toothpaste and deodorant. Kind of a heartwarming story to tell at Christmas dinner this year.

On a lighter note:

Seems the public is also FLED-up with j- fool. He put out one too many bullshit news conferences about falling overall crime and the backlash is tremendous. Looking at the comments sections of the WEIS STATS we can now see that the public is not buying his bullshit anymore. All the comments were negative and most citizens now believe that they have been lied to all along by this smug incompetent. His swan song will come soon enough.

When the fuck will the political hacks ever pass a law that states "when ever one is injured or killed while committing a crime, they loose any and all rights to file a lawsuit."

Toothpaste and deodorant? Like he was going to use it himself? That's the stuff they take right over to the stop-and-rob stores to sell. The owners then put it right on the shelves and resell it to their customers. Before everything was rung up by barcodes, you could see price tags from every major grocery and drugstore on those shelves.

The store employee was obviously in some sort of fight in that alley, most likely the employee was defending himself; I guess the only person who really knows is the store employee since he's the only one alive to tell the tale...

Give this guy a medal. You steal, you pay the consequences. I had one shoplifter who kept screaming that he was going to sue the store because he knew they had a "no chase" policy and store security chased him out of the store and grabbed him in the parking lot. They fought in the parking lot and managed to get him under control.

He ended up with a cut to his forehead, the security guy ended up with a black eye and a torn shirt.

Of course, since shithead had a cut, he had to go to the hospital. The show he put on there would have won him an academy award nomination.

And of course the family doesn't get it, Its terrible that he died but he was in the act of committing a crime. The way the spin is being laid out , he should have been stealing some food or medicine. Must have felt a burning need to brush his teeth!

NO Moron! He was strangled fighting the security agent, not for stealing the little crap. His choice to steal then fight. He was NOT strangled for stealing toothpaste. I imagine the agent held him until he stopped fighting was all it was. Stupid lib moron!

Fuck it let them steal whatever they want. We will pay for it when the prices go up. Fuck him he was a junky thief. America has become weak. Now his family is going to sue the store and if there was an off duty cop there the department. As far as I am concerned he brought it upon himself. So just let them steal and wave at them as the walk out of the store. Wake up idots before it is too late.

1:40:00 - those stores would be out of business if they did not buy it and maybe under arrest for fake or set-up crimes.

The store employee knows that this was the beginning of a big assault by the rest of the gang.

If he had gotten away with it, more thieve would have followed and they would have grabbed bigger and more expensive items (and maybe some personal assaults) as they did at Family Dollar on 22nd & Pulaski.

Clerks there told me they would grab comforters and run out of the door with it.

The Family Dollar on Roosevelt & Pulaski closed, obviously from thefts and not doing anything to stop it.

The employees are obviously not smart or they would know if more is being stolen than sold, the store will go out of business.

Thieves will thonk twice about "working" there.

Homicide, all it is , is an unnatural death caused by another human.

When a death is classified as a homicide, it could be Justifiable, Unjustifiable, or etc. The media needs to make it clear what kind of Homicide it is .

5/10/2010 07:05:00 PM"

in the 'good old days', a much smaller percentage of the consumer population were receiving the fruits of the labors of those who worked for their income, ie., the taxpayers, thus, retailers have chosen to locate where the there are those who have, via the new paradigm of 'wealth distribution', ie., 'welfare', disposable 'income'.

the certainty of a higher percentage of inventory loss is, presumably, acceptable, given the guaranteed turnover volume being fueled by the ever increasing availability of the infamous 'link card'.

welcome to the 21st century version of Amerika.

Another senseless tragedy and true loss to the community. Just think of all the revenue lost to local stores since this man will never use his Link card again.

The loss to all the pawn shops, fences, neighborhood grocery stores and other individuals who bought his boosted stuff will no longer have the opportunity to buy stolen toothpaste and crayons. Tooth decay in the urban community will now undoubtedly increase.

The loss to all the women that could have met this man and become his baby's mama are forever denied of knowing of this misguided, slow running man.

His death he will now only bring lawsuits, prosperity to some attorney, ghetto lottery winnings to the attractive Ms Balboa and further drain the taxpayers pockets for a man that chose his path in life.

Instead of the bereaved family reflecting on what detour in life caused this man to go for the big score of crayons and tooth paste, it is best to reflect on affixing blame for this man's actions. Its always someone else's fault. Someone has to pay the family and exwife.

Hmmm, maybe if the dude had a job and stayed out of jail he wouldn't have found himself fighting a CVS employee over $4 worth of merchandise. Nah, that would make someone responsible for his own actions.

So simple. The clerk was attacked in the alley by the shoplifter who said "I ain't goin' back to prison for you motherfucker, I'll kill you first" The clerk was then involved in a fight for his life and being in fear for his life from this convicted felon ex-con he fought bravely and successfully to defend that life.

Now will someone please talk to that clerk before he gets torn to shreds by the vulture lawyers.
