Dog Dies in Alley

  • A man apparently trying to break into the home of a police officer was shot and killed by the officer in the Grand Crossing neighborhood tonight, police said.

The shooting happened about 6:40 p.m., authorities said. The officer, who was off-duty, was upstairs in the apartment building [...] when he heard loud noises coming from the first floor of the building, said Calumet Area Deputy Chief [...], speaking at the scene.

The officer went downstairs to the rear door of the building, which police said and property records show the officer owns. When the officer opened it he saw a man with a tire iron standing on the rear porch, Alexander said. The officer drew his gun, identified himself and told the man to put the tire iron down, but instead the man swung it at the officer.

The officer fired several shots at the man, hitting him...

  • Nearby, a woman identifying herself as the dead man's mother stood by with several relatives. Sharon Loston said her son lived in the area and did odd jobs for the shop owners on 75th Street.

[...] "He didn't deserve to die like a dog in an alley," she said of her son, tearfully.

Actually, he did deserve it. And hopefully, this scene will be played out over and over again in the coming months as the right to keep and bear arms is restored to Chicagoans.

He didn't deserve to die like a dog in an alley....He also didn;t deserve to be in a house that he was not invited into. He also didn't deserve to swing a tire iron at another person.

Not on the job- Does the city reimburse the officer for the spent rounds used in stopping this felon, or is the officer out the dough? I wonder if the dufus thought the privately owned building had a flat?

The mother of this thug said that "he didn't deserve to die like some dog in an alley" or something to that effect.

I suggest that she should have kept her "dog" in the house, and away from other people's "alleys."

I’m going to have to take exception with poor grieving Willamena and say that most dogs who don’t die peacefully all on their own are probably euthanized by a Veterinarian. It’s just not common practice for owners to drag sick dogs into the ally and shoot them. Why, even those nasty unwanted rodents are humanely dispatched with poisons these days. So I’d say he died far worse then a dog, or even a rat for that matter.

And he deserved it too.

The instant that officer drew his weapon and shouted "STOP, POLICE OFFICER" he was on duty and can put in a slip for the time.

Imagine it wasn't an off duty officer who was in fear for his life but an unarmed law abiding citizen, the way Daley and Weis wants everybody to be...the unarmed civilian would be dead of a beating.

I don't see a problem with any of this.

One more shitbird off the public payroll.

If you are in my house, you are going to get drawn down on,,,,if you have a weapon in hand, you are going to get dropped right then and there, your ticket is cancelled.

Too bad Loevy & Loevy probably are preparing the lawsuit, including suing the city for some reason, at this moment.

Now, now: maybe he didn't deserve to die like a dog in an alley.

Maybe he really deserved to die like a felon, out front on the porch. Let's just be open to that possiblity.

Feel any better, Mom?

The only reason a homeowner in that situation should have to call the police is so someone can come and cart away the dead a**hole.

I'm always amazed at how quickly the parent(s) are available for an interview after they lose a child. It says in the article that this lady lives in Riverdale now, yet she was there within minutes to get her TV time. I know if I would have been killed the last thing my parents would be doing is a TV interview.

Shit-talker's holiday on the online comments in both rags...

Wahhh!!!! *SOB!* Boo-hoo!

"The (evil Po-leese) shot him 5 or 6 times, isn't that excessive force?"

"No Police officer should be allowed to be armed off duty."

"Why didn't he just shoot him in the knee... He didn't have to kill him."

These are the same fools who would be happy to read these headlines...

"Cop Beaten, Disarmed And Slain In Home With Own Service Weapon!"

"Daley Blames Gun Violence, Lobbies Springfield For More Gun Laws"

"Weis Wants Power Test For Officers To Have Duty Weapons At Home"

"Weis Proposes Home Confinement For All Officers Not On Duty"

"Cook County States Attorney Declines Charges In Slaying. Officer & Victim Were Mutual Combatants"

"New City Ordinance States All Police Officers Homes And Personal Vehicles To Be Clearly Marked"

"Weis Wants Officers In Uniform Even In Their Homes To Give Impression Of Plenty o' Police!"

"Deceased Officer To Be Disciplined For Failure To Secure Weapon."

"Weis Gets A Raise"

...Soon to be followed by.

G.O. 11-01
Department Menbers Post-Mortem Control And Security Of Weapons

C/O Book... Page 100

"The following members are to report to the Education and Training Division for In-Service Sergeant Training... All members of the Policy Group and nobody else!"

Love,

j-fled, michaela mistress and duggie aka minnie pearl in a police uniform...

The online comments convince us that the majority of Chicagoans have lost their rabbit-ass minds when it comes to Police versus criminals. Most of these people are likely not "real" old school native born Chicagoans anyway. Mostly poseurs, transplants, false-flaggers and lefty crook lovers who cry when the POLICE take care of business and refuse to lay down and be victims.

The few remaining clear-eyed citizens are truly in danger.

Yup... sarcasm & silliness.

Momma was wrong actually.. The officer is not trained to approach skillfully and inject the offender in a vein with death inducing chemicals, thus effectively euthanizing an offender.. He was put in the stressful position of having to blow away a guy that wanted to peel his head off. But I think 4 legged dogs do deserve better deaths. Maybe someday
