Shooting Sunday
Police early Sunday arrested a man who ran from them on the South Side after he had been shot by officers for pointing a gun at police.
At approximately 12:53 a.m., Calumet Area Gun Team officers on surveillance in an area with known gang conflicts in the South Chicago District heard gunfire in the vicinity of the 8900 block of South Escanaba Avenue, according to a release from police.
The officers observed a male firing a handgun in the direction of a group of males, the release said. The officers then saw the man flee into an alley, where officers approached and announced their office, at which time he pointed a gun at the officers, the release said.
Cops OK, gun recovered, bad guy in custody after getting shot. Well done guys.

The Gun Team was watching the Latin Kings when this guy came up and started shooting at the Kings. To bad none of them got shot. He told the officers he was sorry and that he only wanted to shoot at the Kings not them. Later on the bad guy stated, "I learned my lesson I wont do that again" True story MK is ripped.
You also forgot the shooting in 007 involving the p.o.'s that were shot at while conducting surveillance in a covert vehicle
I must have missed it, but did anybody see our leader Jody commending us for great Police work, for being safe and for protecting the community?

.....the offender also stated that he thought the police officer from the gun team was a leprechan who had shot him. Don't know what the bad guy had to drink or smoke....but good shooting by the gun team. No telling these days what the bad guys on the street are getting high with.

The one recently was two OD guys on the way to work in their POV. Get your facts straight.
