Hailing him as “a man of vision,” Mayor Daley introduced Chinese President Hu Jintao at a formal dinner in Chicago on Thursday night that included a Who’s Who of Illinois business and politics.
After the crowd of more than 500 gave the mayor and Chinese president a standing ovation, Daley said he plans to make Chicago “the most China-friendly city in the United States.”
From one totalitarian dictator to another. From one short, power wielding midget who would gladly jail every media dissident, every political opponent, and shut down every alternative media website to one who already does all of that and more. Praise for a man who continues to jail a Nobel Peace Prize winner actually deserving of the honor. A "man of vision" who presides over a military-industrial complex that has based its entire existence on piracy and espionage.

Tired now and can't place the exact source, some European TV news program within the last couple of days -- they had a specialist in military hardware, a Jane's type, and he was detailing how many features on new Chinese military equipment seem to be designed specifically as countermeasures against American weapons. He didn't go as far as speculating why this was so.
As some Russian troops in penalty battalions were steered towards the German lines in WWII, they were simply told "The enemy over there has your rifle and rations and other equipment you will need. Go and get them."

I just saw this on the national news on Fox.... I almost threw up in my mouth. And all the visits that Shortshanks made to China. Then they ran a clip of all the businesses Chicago has that are Chinese owned. Well DUH!! HE sold Chicago to them.

..but it was the simple truth that a punch press operator could drive a Chevy, own a bungalow, and take nice vacations here. We were OK for a while. After spending 3 months in that Godforsaken place that taught me to eat at Kentucky Fried Chicken for almost 3 months because the food was literally moving on my plate at the finest restaurants, it was the safest thing to eat.
