From Chicago Breaking News Website, "Bar Bouncer Accused of Posing as Off Duty Chicago Cop" story - I copied this one comment that was balls on accurate.

Ben Dover1 at 7:39 AM March 21, 2011

The funny thing here is, had he really ben a Chicago Police Officer, right now he would be facing stiffer punishment.

He would have a bond set at well over $250,000, he would have Anita Alvarez so far down his throat that he would be like Foie Gras, with all of Anita's BS shoved down his throat. You know, have to have that fighting corruption image to work on, especially when it is not a political ally nephew.

And even though that the CCSAO cannot find any credible reason to charge RJ Vanecko for involuntary manslaughter, somehow I am certain that had this been a real Cop, he would be facing much higher charges and there would be at the very least an attempted manslaughter charge.

Lest we forget the Reverends and their flocks, coming out in the news (like moths to a flame) and on here with 100s or more comments, calling for his head and spouting off that all of the CPD is corrupt. Yet nobody would make a remark about how the "victim" was shot in the leg, we finally would not have to hear about "The police should have just shot him in the arm/leg — they did not have to kill him". So I guess there is at least one positive point in this after all.

So, because he was only "playin' police" all is well in the South and West sides of the city, and I believe in math it is called the least common denominator.

Damn! First, 020 leads off the year with the first homicide, followed by a number of other homicides and shootings in 020...then the coppers in 024 have to stop that gang of Mexican drug dealer robbers...What the hell is Area 3 coming to? The way it's going so far this year, no one will be safe in any neighborhood in the Shitty!

sometimes the truth hurts but you have to accept the fact that someone committed a crime and was punished for doing so--- we often hear that " he wasn't like that and he was getting it together--- but he was like that at a certain moment of his life and he suffered the consequences--- people need to stop making excuses and just start owning up to mistakes that they make---

A MESSAGE FROM THE ILLINOIS STATE RIFLE ASSOCIATION

SUPPORT THE SECOND AMENDMENT
& THE RIGHT TO CARRY

As a law-abiding Illinois firearm owner, it should come as no surprise to you that your rights are coming under constant attack down in the state capitol. The Daley/Emanuel Gun Grabbing Machine has been busily cranking out one extreme gun control measure after another since the legislative session began several weeks ago. Likewise, the gun controllers have been working overtime to prevent pro-gun legislation from coming to a vote. It’s been business as usual in Springfield this year – and you are the person getting “the business.”

As you receive this alert, the Illinois General Assembly is in recess. That means that your State Representatives and State Senators are now back working in their District offices rather than working at the Capitol in Springfield. This recess provides you, the law-abiding gun owner, an excellent opportunity to lobby your legislators on a face to face basis about the issues important to you.

ISRA needs your continued support. McDonald v Chicago was not the end of the fight but the beginning. The ISRA is the front line in the battles for your firearm rights here in Illinois, such as the new lawsuit to prevent Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan from forcing the Illinois State Police to release your FOID information to the Associated Press.

If you're not an ISRA member, now is the time. You can join on-line, or over the phone at 815-635-3198.

So, here are 4 things that you can do this week to help save your gun rights:

1. Go to www.ilga.gov and click on the “Legislator Lookup” link. Follow the instructions and locate the District Offices of your State Representative and State Senator.

2. Call or visit the District Office and politely convey your message on the following bills now under consideration:

a. HB148 - a bill that would allow law-abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons to protect themselves and their families against violent criminals. Advise your Representative to support this bill.

b. HB264 - a bill that would standardize firearm regulations across the state and eliminate the patchwork of local laws that are often a “gotcha” for gun-owning out of towners. Advise your Representative to support this bill.

c. HB265 - a bill that standardizes firearm transportation regulations. Like HB264, this bill protects otherwise law-abiding citizens from getting pinched for violating a little-known law. Advise your Representative to support this bill.

d. SB82 - a bill that would allow law-abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons to protect themselves and their families against violent criminals. Advise your Senator to support this bill.

e. SB27 - a bill that would ensure that personal gun-owner information in the FOID database could not be released to the public. Advise your Senator to support this bill.

f. HB3508 - a bill to ban private firearm sales. Advise your Representative to OPPOSE this bill.

g. HB3634 - a bill that would make it a felony to sell a firearm to a gang member even if the gang member has a FOID card and passes a background check. Advise your Representative to OPPOSE this bill.

h. HB1294 - a bill that would ban semiautomatic rifles, pistols and shotguns. Advise your Representative to OPPOSE this bill.

i. SB2257 - a bill that would ban all firearms having a bore of .50 caliber or greater. Advise your Senator to OPPOSE this bill.

3. Please post this alert to any blogs or bulletin boards to which you belong. Pass this alert along to your gun-owning friends and relatives and tell them to contact their Senators and Representatives as well.

4. If you're a current member of the ISRA, then renew or upgrade your membership. Also, we very badly need your financial support to carry on the fight against the gun grabbers at the Capitol.

Please donate to the ISRA today!

I want to know how the department is going to "pimp" us out for details, and tell us what we are getting paid. CTA hires us at straight time, and that is what it should be for these other details...at least! NO LESS.

Give it a rest already. Cops who break the law get prosecuted as criminals. Criminals who break the law get prosecuted. There is no vendetta in the SAO against cops.

And people in the SAO that break the law become Mayor.

No, there isn't a vendetta against Officers, but you sure make a name for yourself when you go after one, so unlike the rest of the world, all efforts go to the copper. Don't tell me it's legit because we both know it isn't.
