Without a written contract, sources say, Weis has declined to stay on board.
He reportedly will leave his post at the end of the day, Tuesday.

Jody never understood the CPD. He never understood what it takes to be an administrator period. Why do I say this ? His first move to get rid of so many top bosses. He did this even before he had a chance to size up his job, or their job. Anyone could figure out, this is not the way to go. Next he surrounds himself with aids, that knew less about the CPD than he did. He started off holding meetings with the ranks,but never listened to what they had to say. I went to a few. I saw no one taking notes.
Well enough said about him. I hope I never see him wearing his CPD leather with the patches pull off, pretending he earned the right to wear it in the first place.

I've been on the job for almost 35 years. I have never known of anyone more hated than this JFled POS. Not even close. He was a kick in the teeth to all good hard-working police officers. Both Daley and local media covered up for him.
We have no 6 day work week. There has been no OT crunch. In fact, there are tons of OT opportunities at time and a half. There are no more inspectors. Cops can wear anything they want and look as ridiculous as they want. Not one cop was tossed under the bus for a justified shooting or even for using justified force. Weis didn't throw white cops to the reverunds when the media screamed.
Weis brought a public perception that he was hard on cops, when in reality he didn't do a goddamn thing to the working police.
Hillard on the other hand did all of those things. He basically publicly stated that the Russ shooting was unjustified, when it was justified. He routinely suspended white cops when the reverunds complained. There were perhaps three times as many inspectors under Hillard as there are today. These assholes were everywhere, including court, and they only looked for the dumbest, easiest, pimpiest write ups.
And your happy he's back?
Why? Because of Cozzi? Well take this under consideration. If you are a white cop and you shoot a black offender trying to run you over, you'll be lucky to only get fired. If you think things are bad now, you're either new or you have a bad memory. Things were never worse than they were under Hilliard.

First question is - how much money is Hilliard getting paid to be a slap in the fact to current exempts as the saving grace interim?
Hilliard is only a "show" to the public and the department as a means of "boosting morale". However, if you were around back then you will know that Hilliard began the demoralization of the department, so don't give the man that much credit.
For example, he started the promoting of young coppers into exempts, such as A. Stanley with 9 years on the job to commander. Obviously of which was after two merit promotions within 3 years.
And Terry made EB and WG both crayola commanders and told insiders he had to do it because they were dating alderwomen. Which makes TH a suc hole, right?
Get excited that JW is gone, but don't get too excited. TH is loyal to Daleys crew.

I don't care how much money he made, I'm just glad he's gone! It's been 3 years of hell and now we can all breathe. The only thing Jody deserves credit for is destroying our morale which is a hell of a lot. He didn't do shit for bringing crime down- that was the beat officers. Stop givng him credit for things he couldn't and wouldn't do!

In realitty, in the end Daley just had his fun with Weis. Daley played around with Weis in the media when he knew good and well Weis had to go. Hell everybody in Chicago knew Weis was going to be thrown under the bus by Daley one day, except for Weis. If Daley really wanted Weis to stay, Weis would still be the Supt.
