Mandatory Meeting Canceled
We guess there was just too much other stuff going on, so they canceled it around 1030 yesterday morning.
No word on a reschedule yet. Rumor is they might be stripping Tact teams from the districts, hence the Tact Lieutenants' presence was required.
Anyone have any info?

They do this every summer. The people actually paying for the service don't need the police. The DOC areas need the police.
It's just another way to redistrict without having to go to the trouble of making all new maps, drawing new lines on them and facing the political fallout from the paying customers.
Tact teams were guaranteed stay per hq. On the line Tru and gang investigation, Leo.

Tact LT from 014 is the best. He doesn't have a clue. Atleast know the gangs u have been there for more than 2 yrs

Gangs staying, weeding out goofs. TRU axed and MSF to be stripped down.
If they went back to "revolver police" days the districts would be staffed much better,and more accountability! We had 3 wagons,extra tact teams,foot teams all cars manned! Now with the districts being stripped we are forced to pay millions more out! How? More useless exempts,extra sergeants,extra lts,extra vehicles etc...! Go back to "old school" policing cut the new age goldstein bullshit and see what happens!

Yeah okay, Then why wait for tact teams to be disbanded? Ask to go back to the watch on your own.
Never understood the purpose of tact teams in the districts or gang teams in districts were gangs aren't the big problem. There are already units within the department: gang intelligance, tru, msf, etc.that can be deployed when needed, to specfic drug or gang problem áreas or districts. All the district tact and gang teams should be put on the watch, in uniform, and PATROL. To answer calls, write paper, tickets, etc. Their talents wont be wasted on waiting for a domestic or an in progress call to make a pinch. More uniformed patrol officers are needed on the street that would help in filling up the watch and cut down on 99 units. I understand the clouted and the phone calls are above such a downgrade, but when you graduated from the academy, took the oath to serve and protect, and had the button pinned on, its wasnt on your carthardt jacket or your reversed baseball cap, it was on your blue uniform, with the CPD patch on your left shoulder and your unit designator over your left pocket. Go Blue!!! G-d Bless the CPD and CFD.

Over the past 3 yrs Team JPUD has put out several faxes and some were rescinded after found to be in violation of our contract or conflict with current general orders. Another fine job from The Policy Group.

start with taking the do nothing 001 district tact teams...they have seven tact teams that watch movies and stay inside the office all day long, and when they are kicked out of the office, they simply park their cars and watch movies on their portable dvd players, what a fucking joke....seven tact teams for piss bums...whenever a robbery happens, usually a beat car grabs the offender, and tact is ALWAYS offering to "help out"....(trying to steal the arrest)....lmao!
To the PO that says "many of us tac guys are hard workers" one baggers, pissers, drug paraphenelia don't count. So stop that hard work crap. And either go do some good or tell your pos bosses to stop requiring heads.
