Be Careful Out There

Media trolls are at it again:
  • Those of you in south side districts, most especially in 022, should be wary of crews from Channel 2 following squad cars around this weekend. They are digging for something. I dont know if they will be in marked news vans or unmarked, but dont screw around AT ALL!!
I dont put stuff out unless I confirmed it myself or it is a source that has NEVER let me down. I'm not sure yet exactly what they are after, but dont step into anything.
Keep an ear out and your eyes open.

Time to toss some tube sand in the back and then "investigate" mud holes, bad alleys, dirt traces next to old railroad tracks...anything even a 2-wheel Tahoe can get out of but they'll get mired in.

A thousand stories in the Naked City...

If true, this witch hunt coincides nicely with Rahm wanting to further paint the police as undeserving of a pension. Here's the big, bad police not earning their paycheck, blowing-off a hand waver, letting "baby daddy" leave after beating Shaniqua's ass for the umpteenth time, blah, blah, blah...

Anyone that doesn't think this shit is orchestrated and choreographed needs their coconut examined.

And for what it's worth, I heard from two different sources that it's: "Channel 32" and "gonna happen in Area 4". Take all this with a grain of salt, but be wary nonetheless.

Lockup ain't a bad place to be in this atmosphere...unless the media does a sting about spoiled bologna sandwiches ;-)

Brave Passer-by Rescues Two from Blazing Bungalow

"A man was killed and his sister critically hurt this morning in a bungalow fire on the Northwest Side while a man riding by on his bicycle was able to rescue two of their sisters.

"The fire broke out about 4:30 a.m. in the 3100 block of North Kilbourn Avenue in the Belmont Gardens neighborhood and took firefighters about a half hour to put out...

"Passersby rescued two people from the fire, and firefighters rescued two others...The surviviors were taken to Our Lady of Resurrection Hospital and Norwegian American Hospital, officials said.

"Rudy Lozoya, 59, of the 3100 block of North Kilbourn Avenue, was pronounced dead at 8:35 a.m. at the Stein Institute.

"Ken Brown, 43, said he was riding his bicycle when he spotted smoke coming from the single-story home and heard two women screaming for help. He went inside and helped them out before heavy smoke forced him back, he said.

"The women, whom Brown described as sisters in their 60s to 70s, told him their brother and another sister were still in the home.

"Brown went to the top of the stairs to try to get to the other victims but said the smoke was too thick for him to go any farther."

Good job, Mr. Brown. You risked your life as well -- a lot of trained first responders could have done no better in the circumstances in which you found yourself.

Someone put this man up for that civilian medal.

We heard that FOX was coming to 12 and 13 because if they came to 10 or 11 they would get their ass beat by the natives and their wheels stolen.

Are they going to go in to talk to people after we leave the scene to guage their reaction. Good luck on that, there is a reason news crews call their camera idiot magnets.

Maybe when we should leave our calls we should go around the block and see if who shows up.

But, if the response time is slow, doesn't that man that There REALLY IS A MANPOWER SHORTAGE IN THE DISTRICTS.

I know that this is possible, it it legal, for a news organization to monitor our PDT traffic. It can be done.

Word is they are doing a story on police response times, and the manpower shortage.

-----

I hope then they are getting ALL the information that is needed;

The time the call was made to 911 and then sent to the Zone dispatcher takes about a minute. THEN, we all know that the job, ie; burglar alarm, domestic, rape in progress may sit in the dispatcher's queue for over an hour in a busy district on a summer night. You can follow police cars all night long however that will not let you know the whole story.

The only fair way to report on this story would be to file a FOIA request and see a sample of how long it takes to get a response ..... in 015 I have seen a "Burglary on progress" job sit unassigned for 1:53 minutes last September. There were only 9 cars assigned to 015 that night and a backlog of over 75 jobs.

What a fuckin' nightmare.

Many of the citizens wanted to express their concerns to DTEB, but I couldn't find which phone number to provide.

Police 'outmanned' by growing gang population

"Friday, February 25, 2011 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- In this Intelligence Report: "Outmanned." Street gang membership in Chicago and the suburbs is at least twice as big as city and outlying police departments.

"It's due in part to a surge in the Chicago region's gang population related to Mexican cartels taking hold of illegal drug sales.

"There are more gangbangers in metro Chicago than there are residents in Orland Park and Glenview combined, at least 100,000gang members, according to the latest intelligence from a top federal enforcement agency in Chicago.

"The growing gang population is a problem for outmanned police and an employment resource for the Mexican drug cartels.

"Chicago and suburban police say between 75 and 100 street gangs operate criminal rackets. Authorities say the crime index, especially the murder count, is a barometer of whether there is peace between gangs..."

Mayor's Office For Sale -- Inquire Within

Price to be mayor? Emanuel spent $11M

John Chase, Tribune reporter

9:46 p.m. CST, February 25, 2011

"Rahm Emanuel spent roughly $11 million in his successful sprint to the Chicago mayor's office, including about $7.5 million since the beginning of the year, his campaign confirmed Friday.

"In response to inquiries about whether the mayor-elect will funnel any money to candidates in runoff elections for City Council, an Emanuel spokesman said Friday that he has about $2.1 million left in his campaign fund.

"Emanuel, a legendary fundraiser for Mayor Richard Daley and former President Bill Clinton, resigned as President Barack Obama's chief of staff to enter the mayoral race in October. Between then and February he raised about $13.2 million, according to available public records.

"Much of that money came in large donations before Jan. 1, when a new state law brought first-ever fundraising limits...."

How about the CPD starts following the media and makes sure they don't blow any redlights, stop signs, speed, or drive while using cellphones?

The P.O. from 023 is a good and honest guy. Last time I checked the U.S. doesn't send your entire family to the clink for the alleged wrongdoing of one member of your family. You must be from the former Soviet Union and be relating your own experiences with your family in Siberia douchebag.

I remember a time when some tv film crews were out trying to catch the police doing "wrong"... it prompted some officers to be vigilant --- run that license plate over the air... make that traffic stop for violating traffic laws...and don't forget a name check or two when you do make that stop... You really need to check out those suspicious vehicles... Just sayin'

Too bad the media isn't following up on lack of running water in the 014th district. It isn't safe for the prisoners, but it is OK for the police. Does that mean those that are using the lobby for their hotel room need to be relocated to a facility with working toilets and potable water?

Yes, Judge Linn vacated his own ruling and then reduced the charge himself and handed down a lesser sentence. Linn is the same Judge who a few years back sentenced the murderer of female police officer in a domestic incident to 60 years and then called the victim's family (POs also) back into court a month later and informed them he'd thought about it and decided to lop 10 years off of the sentence.

Maybe the FOP should have some people follow them and give them a taste of what they are giving? You know the media is not all saints.

If your so worried maybe YOU should follow them & see what they are up to! Do your job & you don't have to worry.

Like Bt 1613, get a parking ticket job, pull up to the scene & 6-P it, don't write the ticket. Get the same call 45 minutes later & code it out within 20 seconds & then go to lunch without going to scene or write ticket. Maybe the commander will see how useless Bt 1613 is. They haven't done shit in years.

Now that Crime King Shorty is walking away, the members of the decaying alive, anal whore media are running "da po-leese be outnumbered y'all" stories?

Ride it then eat it bitches!

They had 10 years of having a mouthful and still not saying shit about shortshanks laying off CPD through attrition.

They've been real quick to parrot j-fleds bullshit about manpower not being as much of an issue as it is coppers somehow not doing their jobs.

Who da fuck you gonna believe?

We've gone from having lots of help to every man for himself in the field.

By our observation, nearly 4000 coppers have gone *poof* in the last decade.

From every beat car being up & 10-4 plus 16 to 20 rapids, incident cars and extra wagons also 10-4.

To...

Lucky to have 10-99 beat cars up, no wagon and no rapids, incident cars.

Oh, there's TRU, MSF, ABC, GFY, WTF, FU2 and other high speed, pajama outfit units that allow the city/department means to skirt the contract and have bodies to send to hot spots... At the total detriment to Patrol!

Oh well...

Since the media is front and center with the "Police are the enemy" propaganda, we sincerely hope they all have up close and loving encounters with Dude Inc.

...Repeatedly.

They'll all be one happy family sitting on the front porch braiding each other's hair, drawing pictures of tits on each other's backs and painting one another's toenails with colored markers...

Explain how that might happen? FOP would, what, call their beat cars and order a traffic enforcement mission against media? You must be a numb nuts civilian or else a total moron of a police officer.

And if you are a police officer, why don't you call FOP and tell them what you are doing? You know, for when you get sued.

I love how people who have never seen their name in the defendant box on a federal lawsuit can come up with this idiocy.
