Look Who's Going to Jail
Honestly, when we saw Blago on TV again, we thought he was being processed out of the Terre Haute prison and headed back to town. We were getting ready to see if he was taking up his old job of delivering pizzas on the north side.
Two governors in a row going to prison. Really classy.
Here's a link if you're interested, but we just happen to be Blago-ed out.

President Obama's fifth consecutive week of naming new ambassadors brought with it five people with long histories of donating campaign cash, including two donors who also bundled more than half a million dollars each for the president's campaign war chest. As Capital Eye previously detailed, these choices often include people who contributed significant amounts to his committees — and bundled larger sums his direction.
By our count, Obama, to date, has nominated 50 individuals for ambassadorships. Of these, 19 have been career officers in the Foreign Service, 26 have given money to democratic political candidates and five are not career diplomats but do have known histories of large campaign contributions to Obama's and Hilary Clinton's campaign.
Hell yes he's guilty ! What about the rest of the "crew" involved ???? Boy did he get thrown under the bus !!!
It was Big Ears seat, he shoulda been the one to "sell" it ! See what happens when you try to out slick the "slicker" "Big Dogs" !!!! Don't fuck with the "Boss's" money !
Do they sell hair gel in Club Fed ???????
I can’t wait to read the book he’ll write in jail spilling the beans on everyone as revenge. I hope he writes it fast before he is murdered in jail.
Guilty x17.... Now THAT'S Eff'n Golden!!!!
Good riddance to bad trash.
One of the TV "news" channels was boo-hooing over Blow-go & what his family was going to do, now that he'd spent up all their money (rather than simply taking a plea).
Too bad, so sad; Patti's going to have to find a job now. The old man's a convicted felon.
Almost every politician in this morally corrupt state does the same thing Blago did. Blago's problem is nobody liked or trusted him. Plus his "potty mouth" wife comes from a family of disliked folks. Patty's sister, the state rep., is the one who tackled a woman police lieutenant in front of City Hall a few years ago during a Gay rally. Of course she walked out of court with nothing. Her Daddy Ald. Mell took care of that.
he gone
T-shirt for sale:
"Illinois: Where former governors actually make your license plate!"
My God, how is he going to keep his hairdo?
I hope the next time we see him he's got a shaved head.
And I'm with you, SCC. Sick to death of seeing him reaching to shake hands when there's no one there, of flipping his bangs, and the constant steam of bullshit he spews.
Good riddance. Out of sight, out of mind, at last!
Blago was a throw away.
John Harris was the real catch that gave the Daley's up.
It's no coincidence that Rahm gave Daley the public message that he wanted his job shortly after Blago and Harris were arrested.
Daley retires, no indictments for him or Patrick.....
Rahm takes over the home office....
Asshole Blago goes to jail....
That was the deal.
I'm glad to see Blago lose his State pension!
Why Not his Federal government pension?!
Losing a Pension is bigger than going to jail for a couple of years that he will get!

Carol Marin mentioned this yesterday while talking about Blago and political corruption with a panel on Chicago Tonight. She pointed out that George Bush was criticized for taking these large 'bundles' of campaign donations and yet Obama is doing it more than ever and no one cares to talk about it.
Our society and these younger generations don't seem to care about much, including voting or corruption in government. Probably sometime in about 2013, after Obama has been defeated in the 2012 election, we will find out that he was never eligible to hold the office of the Presidency to begin with. Our trusty legal system will say they are slow but got it right in the end.
It's sad that our nation, characterized by the Japanese Admiral who led the attack on Pearl Harbor as a "sleeping giant", is only capable of responding after attacks like Pearl Harbor or the World Trade Center bombing on 9-11. Maybe as a country, we will never see THAT kind of national pride again... or until another attack.
When is that jerk Quinn getting locked up?
I really don't see what he did that they all don't do--- look at all the political campaign contributors and they are all doing some sort of business with the government--- for some reason the federal government put an "x" on badboyobitch's back and went after him---- I wish they would have put an "x" on daley's back, they could have got him right away the guy was so filthy--- maybe blago had some dirt on osama obama ....
I hear that the Fed pen Rod will be going to in Indiana is a really super place. Every night they have a Elvis sing-a-long contest in the shower. Enjoy Rod!
"Lots of questions after the Blago verdict as to why the Feds didn't keep the investigation going to see who would eventually pay for Obama's Senate seat. The reason they stopped the investigation is because little Jesse Jackson Jr. already $1.5 million ready to fork over to Blago through his Indian representatives. Daley and Obama didn't want to upset Rev. Jesse Sr. No way."
...and as long as Blow-go is a good little boy & behaves himself (doesn't rat anyone out), Obama will pardon him on his way out of office.
Blow-go will only do a couple years in prison, will no longer be a convicted felon, he will get his pension rights restored and all will be happy in Chicago, Crook County, Illinois.
He will run for office again and will win.
Blago was used as a whipping boy,if he did not get into a media argument with father in law dick (Billionaire) mell he would still be governor. How much more have the daley's-madigan's-strogers-burke's done? What about the other 49 alderman? Nothing but followers, they could not even cut back or end burkes or neelys waste on manpower details talk about cowards we have them all. The politicians in Illinois that talked bad about blago when will their indictments be forthcoming?
Wow, Blago is not that bad. He was ONLY found guilty of 17 out of 20 charges.
every politition in this town belongs in prison !
blago just couldn't play by their rules and was clipped not only as punishment but as an example to the others.
his life is basicly over. i would love to see him rat but i doubt anyone would even take his statement.
the G had the opportunity to bring a lot of really big names down and chose not to.
it's all just a show.
I like Blago!!!!

I remember Obama's questionable campaign contributors being a big issue when he was running. But the media, of course, ignored it. The election committee said it would take about 2 years to investigate it all though. I always wondered if they really looked into it. I guess not.

He isn't. Blago got caught trying to bargain money for favors. Quinn just GIVES IT ALL AWAY for the hell of it.
I like Blago!!!!

We know that already, Patti.
Like Blago or not, there are a number of names ahead of Blago on the list of politicians worthy of indictment, prosecution, and incarceration. When will they be investigated?
Patrick J. Fitzgerald, another east coast carpet-bagger, is a political animal overlooking the misdeeds of the shanks, J-FLED, Emil Jones, Madigan X's 2 and on and on and on.
Fitzgerald cannot even correctly pronounce the name of our state. Hey Fitz, how long have you resided here? The name is pronounced Ill-ah-noy, not Ill-ah-noise!

Neither can our own Ill. Attorney General Lisa (no clue) Madigan. She pronounces it "Ellinois"
Shed no tears for "Potty Mouth" Patty Blago. Her Daddy, Ald. Mell, is filthy rich on his own and will take very good care of her and the girls. There might be a little left to put in Rod's commisary fund. He will be gone a loooooong time!
bleepin' golden! it would be funny to see blago come out with cornrows
Not merely 12 people to dumb to get out of jury duty; some pretty perceptive folks on this jury!
Jurors suspect Blagojevich was tailoring testimony to them
Rod Blagojevich took the witness stand in his retrial. And the 11 women and one man on the former governor’s jury not only didn’t buy what he said — they thought he was in full spin mode.
Jury forewoman Connie Wilson, 56, of Naperville, said she thought she recognized what Blagojevich was up to when he started picking and choosing details from his personal history. The details appeared to mirror personal information that came out when the judge questioned the jury pool before testimony began, she said.
“I said, ‘Do you remember what he talked about . . . [while testifying about his home] library?’ ” Wilson said she told other jurors during their deliberations. “He pointed to something in the library that pertained to almost everybody on the jury.”
She said jurors started piecing it together.
