Two Cops Shot - "Not Life Threatening"
Two Chicago police officers were shot late Monday and a third person wounded in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at about 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of Gladys and Karlov avenues, police said, citing preliminary information.
Both officers suffered non life threatening wounds, officials said. A third man suffered a gunshot wound to the head, officials said. His role in the shooting wasn't immediately known.
No word if the wounded person was the intended target or the offender.
UPDATE: Depending on the veracity of the post directly below this one, this may be the sixth shooting in under 72 hours involving the police. Be very very careful out there. No relief in sight from the heat. Or the assholes.

There's a good show of priorities.
It was great show of support from all who showed up and helped out; from the units securing the scene and perimeter, to the officers from the responding districts that jumped in and starting answering jobs on the zone. Cars from 010, 015, 025, 014, 013, 012, all did a great job. It was cool hearing people that were obviously 011 alumni on the zone, grabbing calls, familiar with our dispatchers, keeping everything rolling smooth during a tough time.
Both officers were shot not just "grazed" so don't post anything unless you know what the he$$ your talking about! We have the media making this sound like its no big deal we don't need morons on the blog doing the same! Glad both officers are ok and offender is in custody.
Does ANYONE understand that we in Crookago, and the USA are now undergoing the same Civil Unrest everywhere as we used to read about only in the 3 rd World Countries? Why?
