- Chicago police arrested one of their own Thursday night after she allegedly got violent with an officer executing a search warrant.
Sources said the warrant was related to a drug investigation.
Drug paraphernalia and two 9 mm handguns -- one of them loaded and discovered in a nightstand -- were found inside the residence, in the 5000 block of South Lacrosse Avenue, sources told NBC Chicago.
Once inside the home, police said the woman struck an officer. They learned she was an off-duty officer while they were in the process of arresting her.
Police also arrested a man during the search. Albert Quiroz, 41, is a convicted felon and was in possession of a firearm, police said. - He has prior felony convictions from 1997, 1994 and 1995.
And a future of additional felony charges it would appear.
Along with the Rules violations for her, maybe they could get "His/Hers" convictions, too.

Search warrant in 008? Weapons recovered? A mouthy broad present for all of the aforementioned? Sounds eerily similar to a previous egregious incident that was quickly swept under the rug, only this incident involves a battery perpetrated on an officer, by an officer.
Will we get to learn that this asshole has been shacking-up with a multiple-times convicted felon for years?
Will we get to learn that she herself is a "former" gang member?
Will we find out that she probably has very little time on the job, and will probably piss "hot" for coke or weed (or both).
What else will be revealed as this investigation moves forward?
Or will us little guys be disappointed when we find out she's also a "Cuello"?
Not to worry. This latest "scandal", like most others involving the CPD, will soon fade away to the point of being almost entirely forgotten a few months from now when some other copper(s) does something stupid.

The way I see it is cops are human and prone to the same failings as other humans are.
We all think we will not succomb to temptation, but it is a lot easier not to succomb if the temptation is not there.
Some of this might be dealt with by better selection tactics up front, but really, most of it is about proper supervision. if supervisors know this kind of thing is going on, and choose to allow it to continue, they ought to have their heads handed to them.
If they have this going on under their noses and don't know about it, perhaps some rethinking of how supervision is done might be in order.

They've been busy working the streets because of the shortage in manpower. I'm certain that more got through. This is one of the drawbacks when we get shortchanged by Shortshanks and now the Ballerina.

Saw the same shit happen in 015 years ago. Locked up gangbanger copper took 1 year on a misdemeanor battery pinch then came back and won his case at the Police Board. Got his job back and his time while the on duty p.o.'s that pinched him and were battery victims all took 15 day suspensions. Thank you T.H. maybe the dumbest and worst Supt. we ever had.
