Crime Down, but....

...it still seems kind of violent out there. Anyone catch the Breaking News headlines lately?
That's 9 stories out of 23 since Tuesday night.

The stories account for at least 3 dead and 14 wounded.

Another 2 stories cover the Monday killing of a cook on a cigarette break and another about a man on bail arrested on a separate murder charge.

But remember, crime is down, the Department is fully manned, and don't worry about shopping downtown while taking the CTA. All of the above are merely figments of your overactive imaginations.

Millie Vanillie blamed it on the rain, but Ballerino and G-Hack blame it on the heat.

Forget concealed carry here, just come in like Doc Holiday with a shotgun at your side.

Evidently, the Funeral Home on Chicago West of 90/94 does a lot of gangbanger funerals.

A few times when in the area, I've noticed a crowd of gangbangers on the sidewalk in front of the FH waiting to enter and pay their respects to the departed with a CPD Tahoe parked in front for the duration of the funeral.

Why the CPD presence? Respect? Taking photos to I.D. bangers? Protection?

I doubt it's respect. If it's assure more bangers aren't shot while paying respects, let's save the taxpayer's money.

Not a cop

If concealed carry is unlawful in
Illinois, then why are all of these
people getting shot and killed with
guns concealed by the shooters ?
This is worse that when Wyatt Earp
and his brothers were the law in
Dodge City, Kansas in the 1800's
At least everybody was packng and
had an even chance, depending on how fast you could draw your pistol. And if you shot someone in
the back you were hanged, no if's, ands, or buts, and no lawyers to
get you off. Justice was swift.

When is someone going to stop the ATF from putting weapons into the hands of felons via their south of the border distribution network?

Are they trying to make our current gun control laws look ineffective by letting guns walk?

Don't let this self created crisis go to waste now. One can use it to influence the so-called "hearts and minds" of the taxpayers.

Now get out there and push those weapons into the hands of the drug cartel members and let's get this agenda started.

HE is not and never will be a Chicago police officer. A Chicago Police officer is someone who works in a district in a beat car for a number of years, goes to court or a side job after his/her shift. He is the guy or girl who people come to in the neighborhood when there is a disturbance on the block, your child gets in trouble or someone is breaking into their garage. You do not aspire to be a chief of police or Superintendent of a department 2000 miles away from where you were born.
You hope to pass a test or two, hopefully get promoted to Det, or Sgt., earn enough money for your children to go to a decent school or college.
You laugh at watch parties (remember them) or retirement parties with your fellow officers over a beer. You offer your condolences to the family of a fallen officer you may never have worked with. Your heart drops and life stands still when the news broadcast a “Chicago Police Officer” was shot and killed.
A Chicago Police Officer will never stand up in front of his fellow officers, with a microphone in his hand and berate, demean and humiliate the hard working men and women of this department.
HE WILL NEVER BE A CHICAGO POLICE OFFICER,
HE IS A CARPET BAGGER...a Carnival barker....A Bully...nothing more.
Ask him the last time he did a traffic stop was? Ask him what “precinct” 73rd and Hermitage is!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or how about Springfield and Grenshaw…………….13th and Hastings……….
Take your meetings, your crime stats and that New York Accent and go back east.

Scc, I thought you would find this interesting. Former Chicago police superintendent Richard Brzeczek is now working AGAINST the Chicago police department. It appears that Brzeczek is an attorney and Police policy expert and owns his own firm located at 435 W. Erie. A lawsuit was filed today against several Chicago police officers who were involved in a shooting that ended up in elgin. Brzeczek is representing the piece of sh*t who was shot by the police. But wait it gets better... do you want to know who he is teamed up with on this lawsuit??? Well at the bottom of the suit it is signed by Brzeczek and loevy and loevy who are working together on the case. I didnt think he would sell his soul to team up with those blood suckers. Arent loevy and loevy the ones who are representing many of the people who are suing Jon Burge? Brzeczek's name was brought up in many of those reports and lawsuits as having knowledge of burge's actions... Now, all of a sudden Brzeczek is on Loevys team? Is Brzeczek trying to save himself from sitting in federal court being questioned by Loevy and Flint taylor? I dont know if im connecting the dots correctly but something is wrong here. Brzeckzek has sold his soul for money... going after the men he use to lead and now he is just going after the free city money. The suit was definatly written by arthur Loevy because ive been sued by him 3 times and he writes his suits in the same font and type that the suit is in and the same exact wording that he used in previous lawsuits...one of which was a shooting. It is absurd the allegations that they are making. If the city gets a good jury they will beat this with no problem at all... I would love to see loevy lose one to the city on a big case like this. What a joke.

this is a link to the lawsuit:

Chicago Magazine says the Michael Scott investigation was botched. Too many unanswered questions.

"...examination of police reports and interviews with members of Scott’s family, close friends, political allies, business associates, and investigators who worked on the case raise new questions about the thoroughness of the investigation and reveal a trove of new details surrounding Scott’s death—including the fact that he somehow spent the last hours of his life undetected in a city bristling with surveillance cameras and that one of his cell phones was somehow emptied of data shortly after he died. Additionally, I found that senior police officials might have interfered in the case for political purposes, allegedly ordering investigators not to look further into a call made to Scott by a top aide to Mayor Daley hours before Scott died."

There were some sitting in cars, and others leaning on the cars, all looking at their cell phones. My instant thought was the gathering of a flash mob. Then heading further east on 115th, just east of Pulaski in the bus turn around, another group gathering in the same fashion. Gurantee they are waiting for something. This was observed at 9:15PM

Letters to the Editor
State should enforce FOID law more strictly
By Admin

With all the shooting crimes in Macon and Champaign Counties why are we not seeing more of these criminals charged with not having a valid FOID “Fire-arm owners ID” card? This never used law is nothing more than a tax on lawful gun owners, even people that work where guns and ammu-nition are sold are required to have this card. Why the state is not charging these crimi-nals is a mystery to me. The penalty for not having a valid FOID is a fine and up to a year in jail. If we are going to get serious about gun crime lets charge the criminals! Start charging these crimi-nals, not plea barging with them.

He said he was on city business when he made the trips. His Old Lady didn't buy it and they both went on to doing professional counceling for couples caught up in marital problems. He was another guy who kept his mouth shut but I am sure Mayor Daley, and his Crime Family, didn't throw him any bones. He was from the Byrne era and we all know how the Daley's felt about her.
