Some mopes with gold on their hats will be replaced by other mopes with gold on their hats- doesn't mean much to a lowly beat copper cruising 99 without ac. It's like changing the food pyramid- we are gonna eat shit no matter where they list the vegetables!
My guess is the marine unit down to one boat for patrols. No need to keep police and fire boats around that only cost the city millions to operate.
Areas 1 & 2, how about area 3? Deputy Rot... retiring officially on Friday. Who's replacing him?

The commander of 9 is a food guy. His only fault, if you can call it a fault, is that he wants 8 hours from the troops. I guess that's what all the bosses want and it is not unreasonable.
Get jammed up and he, I guarantee, will be there to help. He is that kind of guy.
Spent his entire police career doing police work and he is easy to talk to.
That's my 2 cents........

Gosh I hope they leave Caluris alone, he does such a great job and he is a real leader. His ability to pich bosses to work for him, like Miss Jane and the overweight q-tip can't be discounted. Besides, I'd hate to think all these years off kissing his ass and cupping his balls won't pay off.

I second that. He's a good boss.
Word around GEU is that L.S. is going to be demoted and Gorman will be the commander of both GIU and GEU. Hopefully that rumor is true because L.S. is really all about himself and he is screwing over alot of good coppers who still want to work everyday. Its also a shame that alot of GEU sgts are following right into Leos footsteps and are treating their P.O's like shit.
As long as the jerk deputy from a/3 is gone all is well.

I understand that all POs will have cameras implanted in their foreheads to make sure they are acting right on the street. Patrick Daley was able to get a good "deal" for the city. And on the plus side...you get to take it home with you!
More speculation than rumor.
Expect lots of new faces from outside CPD taking over higher level positions, including some technical and administrative spots. Probably some without any PD experience at all.
USDOJ thinks the problems that brought in Weis still exist and many existing personnel are too tainted to be trusted in higher level spots. The thinking is that the Weis experiment did not go well because there was not enough new blood.
(OT) Cameras and idiots are everywhere. Look at this guy who owns the banquet hall where many city workers use what a fucking goof! Complaining as the city workers were fixing the lights. Wait a minute aren't the lights facing the wrong way? This guy gets free electric lights and calls zekamn?

Highly unlikely considering we have two brand new boats sitting on the river for final outfitting at a cost of over 9 million dollars. Take a look in the 18 CO book. We have to keep an eye on the boats while they're being outfitted.

The brunt of the dirty work falls on the blue shirts and sergeants. This will never change. So far the only people paying any dues in this guys regime are those same people. Two units get disbanded, but both exempts that were in charge are still exempts. One is now the Michigan Ave Detail Cmdr.?!? WTF? The other is doing who knows what. The incompetent brother of a corrupt alderman is still a gold star, and there are numerous other examples. So I have no confidence at this point that there will be any changes at all. I will believe it when I see it. For now the beatings will continue until morale improves. That is all.

I disagree with you. Dave is a lot of crazy not just a little.
Yes he's better than Eugene but anything above a knuckle dragger would have been.
Dave is a workaholic who's made this job his life.
He seems to be not much of an administrator. He lets his "Admin staff" get away with far too much bullshit.
He often goes ballistic about the smallest, silliest things such as parking spaces etc.
All in all it's time for Dave to move on and 009 to get another DC.
As long as G-McStachio replaces 007 A.C. (and I don't mean Air Conditioner) with someone who actually "Recognizes" who the REAL working police are and Gives or Assigns them to work an "Early Mall Car" that don't do anything but sit at the front desk all day requesting personals and lunch! Or better yet he could assign the REAL working police to a "Team", without having to be a fresh PPO one day off your status!
