Sunday Night Football

The only thing the Bears have going for them is home field advantage - and that's only worth a safety according to the latest line.

Eight-and-eight is a distinct possibility this year.

The Bears are underdogs against the Vicodens? It is going to be a long rest of the season with all the hurts they have.

SCChirley, you jest! 8-8? Not likely. They best they will achieve is 7-9. And the 2012 season will see Lovie Smith as an assistant coach in Dallas. And his geriatric bunch of broke-down, swayback, misfit ex-head coaches will be spread across the NFL.

Remember, you heard it all here first. Wait, a clairvoyant message is being received. Oh, and, big changes for CPD are coming on Friday! Or Monday. Or someday damn soon!

I think Lovie bought a summer home in St.Paul, so I'm not sure what the Bears will do tonight.

8-8, that's what I've been saying from the start of the season.

They've got a string of teams with losing records coming up, but with this team, who knows?

23-3 at halftime. Not that this is a big deal against a 1-4 team. But losing to the fucking LIONS on national TV? What a disgrace. Wouldn't you just LOVE to see Lovie throw a clipboard or holler at someone on the sidelines? Mommy's boys of the Midway!

One of the local sports writers suggested that the Bears should be doing what the Cubs are doing right now... looking around for a dynamic and capable General Manager to replace the bumbling idiot, Jerry Angelo. I couldn't agree more!

Angelo tried to spin the fact that the Bears keeping 5 undrafted free agents on their roster showed how GOOD their scouts are. On the contrary, to me it shows how totally inept the Bears talent evaluators are since the players they ARE drafting, keep getting cut and NOT picked up by other teams.

This team needs an injection of NEW, young, and innovative NFL coaching talent (like a Ron Rivera or Jim Harbaugh). Time for the dinosaurs to go. I don't necessarily see Ted Phillips as a hindrance IF he sticks to the business operations side of things, but they definitely need a football guy to hire a new GM, coach and competant scouts and players.

Cutler can STILL be the QB the Bears need. He just needs players surrounding him that emphasize HIS talents instead of trying to force him to fit Mike Martz's antiquated system that he developed specifically for the talent that Martz had in St. Louis. Those guys don't play for the Bears and that playbook is worthless here.

Angelo should be fired just for squandering million$ of the owners dollar$ (not that I particularly care to save them money!). Million$ for Chester Taylor, (cut from the team), Manumaleuna, (cut from the team), Merriwether, (signed for twice as much as he made when the NE Patriots CUT him and isn't even starting), and trading Greg Olsen for almost nothing. Also, by not getting Forte signed to an extension, his stellar season is likely to cost million$ MORE now, than he probably would have signed for 6 months ago. I mean, what has Angelo REALLY done that warrants his employment as an NFL GM?
