- At last count, police arrested approximately ten people in connection with a string of strong arm robberies on Chicago's North Side.
At 8:06 p.m., an attempted robbery was reported on the 1100 block of West Lill Avenue, near Lill and Racine, in Lincoln Park.
According to police dispatch, the 911 caller said 10 to 15 male blacks tried to rob the caller's friends.
Investigators later confirmed that the incident was not an attempted robbery, but an actual strong arm robbery.
We hate to say it, but even a cold snap might not deter this crap. It's certainly going to be interesting going downtown to see the windows this year.

Gee it must be the bad economy making these yoots rob folks on the street. If only these thugs had other avenues to express their outrage at society for not making life better. These assholes know there is money up North so that is where they hunt. Conceal and Carry is the only answer. You don't even have to shoot one of these little bastards. The first time one of these leads to a murder or a person shot there is going to be alot of explaining that will be needed to be done and all tiny dancer is going to do is blame it on a lack of awareness. I like how people are always surprised when a group of 10 black teenagers in a white neighborhood are up to no good. Call me a racist, but I call 911 and say they are "acting suspicious" any time I see a group of obviously lost young people in my neighborhood.
There was a recent article in one of the papers outside IL. It was about the a SC Sheriff who was so disgusted of the rise in crime, LE cut-backs and the recent rape of a woman in a park in the Sheriff's county, the Sheriff advised the citizens to conceal carry.
Stuff like this is going to change and it's going to change for the worse.
The only thing that is going to change things for the betterment of law abiding citizens is concealed carry.
To contend otherwise is a flat-out untruth.

Call me a racist, but isn't it interesting that you don't hear about 10+ white kids walking around a black neighborhood looking for trouble? And, if they did, and ended up being hurt somehow, the claim would be, "they didn't belong there." Hm...double standard?
No surprise there. City Hall has always been full of pickpockets.
