Reward up to $13,000

  • A group of Chicago-area ministers is adding to a reward in the shooting death of Officer Clifton Lewis.

Lewis was killed while working a part-time job as security guard in a convenience store near Austin and Division. Police say two masked men stormed in and opened fire, killing Lewis.

The local faith leaders met at the store Saturday to announce the reward and to urge the public to come forward and help police.

From what we see looking in, the Department is putting a good effort behind this one.

OK... We'll bite...

Since WHEN, did runnin' dog, make believe West & South Side clergy EVER give a damn about, speak up for, or pretend to even give an abbreviated shit between two shoes on the wrong feet about the cares and concerns of Policemen and their families?

Heh... With as much uhhh, ummm, lucre that has been "percolated" through some of these supposed way stations of love, spiritual nourishment and upright living over the years, you would think that they plausibly COULD do better than two grand...

Ghetto play acting... Trying to put up a diversionary heat shield against their "congregants" being pressured as The Police step up their presence...

"Maaan, Y'all messin' up da money hangin' around heah... We told y'all airythang
y'all needs to know..."

We nod knowingly to the this month's Chicago Magazine that connects the dots from the mutts on the streets to elected officials. Make believe clergy should have been included... Lord knows they had/have a plethora of moles in and around The Department keeping tabs on "things."

Former CAPS director notwithstanding and all that other jazz...

Don't fixate on who's on stage...

That's the distractor.

Watch the movement behind the curtains...

Dirty Dogs... All of them...

You are a complete idiot and a tool. "Back in the day" as you say it was rarely in custody in 24 hours. But most offensive is your insult to all the officers, detectives and yes supervisors that have been working non stop on this. The teamwork, cooperation, and self sacrifice have been simply unbelievable. People have come in off their furloughs and days off and worked around the clock and never even thought of putting in an OT slip and you criticize from behind your computer. You are repulsive and worst of all a coward, but you probably wouldn't even understand why.

***********************************Idon't know of what day you speak, but the first police shooting that I remember hapened in 1965, Sgt. Charles Eichorst RIP, and it was weeks before the 2 mutts, 2 brothers named Black, were found and charged. It does take time to do things right. Few of these are "smoking gun" cases.

Regarding off-duty LEOs. Looks like a tragedy in NYC involving three LEOs.

NEW YORK — An off-duty federal law enforcement agent who happened to be in a pharmacy during a holdup confronted the robber as he tried to leave with money and painkillers, and both were shot to death.

The off-duty Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent died after being taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound Saturday, Nassau County police Lt. Kevin Smith said.

Police said the gunman entered the pharmacy in Seaford about 2 p.m., looking for painkillers and money, and announced a holdup. As he tried to leave with what he came for, three people confronted him: the ATF agent, an off-duty city police officer and a retired police officer.

It wasn't clear what happened next or who shot either man. The off-duty police officer and the retired officer were taken to a hospital to be treated for trauma.

If the slain officer was any other race than black I ask you would any of these fake reverunds and so called community leaders be asking the "community" for help in apprehending the savages that committed this heinous crime? I think not!

SCC, I would like to know if you would make what I am about to type a post on the board, simialr to the address that you had for Bill on the side of the page.

I would like to suggest that every member of our department kick in at least $5 to the reward account. Just doing simple math if everybody donated that would boost the reward to a much more desireable sum of money, which would maybe peak the interest of someone actually taking the chance to come forward.

Can you please post the address where the money can be donated.

I have nothing bad to say about the Supt's intentions or feelings but I do want to say that the reason why two tact officers from each district hasn't happened before and why it is happening now is because we are short officers. We need more bodies to help with the search for jag-off so gotta pull them from other districts. We're happy to do it because its one of our own, just sayin.

To every officer and detective working on this case, thank you for all you do. I see the look of sadness, anger, determination and complete exhaustion on your faces. You make me proud to be a member of this police department. You guys are heroes and you'll get them and bring justice for one of our own.

$13,000 seriously?

Let me ask you a question.

The US Congress currently has only a 9% approval rating.

What do you suppose the average public approval rating is of the people seen as the ones defending that congress and the corrupt local politicians that go with it?

What I'm saying is I doubt that you're going to get much sympathy here.

Good luck though..
