No Charges = More Bloodshed

  • A man accused of gunning down two and wounding five others at a packed Englewood fast-food restaurant was ordered held without bail on Saturday.

But Arthur Chaney, 23, of the 6600 block of South Peoria was being treated for sickle cell anemia at an area hospital and did not appear in bond court for his hearing.

  • Records show Chaney faced weapons charges in 2010 but those charges were later dropped. He was sentenced in 2009 to one year of court supervision for unlawful use of a weapon and failing to register a firearm.
Gee, weapon charges in 2009 and 2010 for a grand total of "one year of court supervision" results in 2 murders and 5 wounded in 2011.

Until you can sue judges and Asa's, expect more of this.

Time for States Attorneys and Judges to be held responsible for their actions.

Damn, SCC, you sound all pissed off... Its not like the judge or a parole board can get sued for (not) doing their job. This system is fucked up, you know it, I know it and every cop that reads this blog knows it. It’s fucking time that the rest of the people wake the fuck up and realize it!

Until the victim turns out to be a judge, politician, or one of their family members, don't expect much change in our justice system.
Do your job, do it right and stay safe. You can then say that you did your best. At least we can be at peace with ourselves and retire with our health and sanity.

Lucky Lenny asks a question.

Would cameras in Cook County criminal courts reduce the problem of gun charges being handled so poorly?

I have always wondered about the disconnect between those who argue for additional gun control laws while ignoring the absence of effective punishment for those who actually use guns in the commission of crimes.

Stay safe

I have said it before, and allow me, to say it again.
The Cook County States Attorney's Office Needs To Pay It's Staff A Decent Salary, With Life Time Benefits. They Have To Make These ASA's Career Positions. Give Them Tier's, As In The Private Sector. For The Most Part, All You Have Now, Is Clouted Up, Snotty Kids, Right Out Of Law School. Very Little, If Any Training. Throw Them Out There, and They Can Either Learn To Swim, on Their Own or Drown. Most Quit, after Two or Three Years. Many PO's Sherriff's or Clerks, that spend a lot of time in court, could probably present a better case, that a new ASA. Sad but True.

The Offender in custody for the carjacking, Homicide in a north suburb was arrested by officers in 021 for Felony UUW about a month ago. Why was he out on the streets, does the victims family know that. Hello Media here is a story to run with. The revolving door causes another death. I guess that is not newsworthy compaired to when police mess up or are getting pensions that we don't deserve. sign of the times I guess. Just like 12:21 said, "Time for States Attorneys and Judges to be held responsible for their actions."

I understand the point you're trying to make, but your logic is faulty.

When the victim is related to juice the system works in reverse. Judges hammer those who victimize the clouted regardless of rights, PC, prior record or if they had a reason. That IS the crook county system, disparate results based on juice or cash money. It's putrid, disgusting and foul. Working in the criminal justice system in this county is so tremendously difficult if you actually give half a shit because the clouted scum that don't laughingly justify it as "just the way things are" as they play the system like a violin for personal gain.

I only take solace in the occasions I can help someone or do the right thing in spite of the corrupted, dirty system.

Every time I hear of some filth-encrusted "judge" using their position to get an offender that hurt their world, or get off some scumbag that is a friend or relative, to laughingly engage in their back hall discussion about having to let someone off because of political reason, or convict due to personal avarice, it makes me die inside a little more.

Cook County is broken, likely beyond fixing. The Obamao campaign has adopted it as a model because it worked here. They have outspokenly abandoned the white working class in favor of a coalition of hyper-educated uberliberal upper crust elites, racial minorities and those who do not contribute to the system. They crunched the numbers and figured it would work. Interestingly enough, in Cook County much of the white working class, even though abandoned, still follows their pavlovian response and pulls the D lever all the while being ass raped by the Democrat machine as they take from the workers and give to the highly populous nonworkers and the race baiters and clouted who profit from buying them off with a WIC card, some 200 dollar shoes, a no justice no peace march, and absolution from self responsibility. Sanctuary City, meet sanctuary nation. Why do they want the illegals made legal? A big reliable Democrat bloc that tips the scales to a socialist statist society for good. The elites will profit, they will have the limousines and dachas like in the old USSR, the non workers will get a little more for their non working, and the white middle class becomes slave labor.

No, this isn't a racist rant. It's fact. The "people of color" vote overwhelmingly Democrat for just these reasons because they have been enslaved and robbed of their dreams by the foul Democrat great society charade.

The beat goes on.

I hate trying to fight for justice in a suckhole of evil. I'm realizing that when I pull the pin in some years my exit won't even make a ripple in the cesspool of this mogadishu-like hellhole of scheming greed and rampant injustice. Calculated de-policing may be the only hope to tear the filthy beast open, expose its rotted, stinking innards and remake it in a model where up is actually up and down is down.

Louis Carroll Preckwinkle and Kafka Emanuel need to be exposed for the elitist shills they are.

We, Cook County, are being sued by the Federal Government for releasing prisoners they have put a hold on.

Let me be clear: The Federal Government finds we have a wanted offender in custody for a crime and request US to put a hold on them. WE, Cook County, do not abide by request and immediately rush him through the system and release him to do more criminal acts.

Crazy right? If I told you it was ICE requesting that the violent offenders be held for them would that clear it up?

Case in point: Sex offender caught crawling through a window on a young girl in her home. ICE says "Hey! Could you hang on to him until we get there?". Cook County releases him against all reason.

Vote out the incumbents. Vote them all out. When politically correct trumps reason, it is time for replacements. Actually it is time for torches and pitchforks, but voting them out will have to do.

The Democratic party is tied into the gang structures and along with that we have these judges whinning to many blacks in jail. Even though blacks commit about 90 percent of the violent crime in Chicago.
