We have to change things just to change things. In the D-Unit Areas 4,5 closed and areas 1,2,3, remained opened. Same for the patrol designations. So what do we have to do? We rename them North South, Central. Why couldn't they just remain Area 1,2,3? I'm convinced this asshat just changes things for the sake of changing them with no logical, common sense rhyme or reason.

I heard an unbelievable thing today. A copper told me that he was talking to someone at FOP who he wouldn't name--and the guy told him that the det's are happy with the new areas. I find that UNBELIEVABLE.
I for one can't find a fucking printer or computer half the time, no supplies, no voicemail, nothing.
Nobody knows what the f*ck is going on.
Any other det's care to chime in?

Oh, theres a reason. Take 019 and 023 for example. You combine the districts and eliminate a few beats and presto, you have additional Sgts and patrolmen that can be sent elsewhere (right after G8). All the disgruntled employees put in their retirement papers and off they go, an added bonus is that they will eliminate the positions in the budget, shift the money elsewhere and never hire the replacements. Now do this two or three times to the lowest districts in homicides and the city gets everything they wanted, manpower out west and south and senior officers pushed to the pension fund. The hot weather is the only thing that may backfire on them (call it Gods will) but it may slow the process. Be safe.

I go from the north side to Area 2. I thought it would suck, but it's a great place to work. I also love the 10 hour days.
I have no complaints.
8 hour gig at the parade in the burning sun and no water for the troops. What's it gonna be like on the front lines in May?? We are in trouble.
We in the D unit are using reverse psychology on McNutty. We are all very happy with the changes and wished they would have taken place on 01 Jan 12 as originally planed.
We all love printing a report and then walking around our newly remodeled office trying to find where the damn thing tinted, if it printed at all.
It's also fun trying to talk to a victim on the phone when 30 other people are on the phone as well.
It's also nice not having a car to sign out as I can just call more victims.
Needless to say I was to happy with the professionalism displayed by Data Systems when the reformatted at the computer hard drives and Chris Case then used MS Word pad for our lengthy homicide narratives. You were so apologetic that you fixed it by installing MS Word 2010 for us to use instead of MS Word 2003.
As kindhearted as you are, you then removed MS Word 2010 and replaced it with the proper MS Word 03.
We really didn't need those converters installed to open up the reports that everyone typed in MS Word 2010.
We can't believe that all those calls made to your supervisors were answered in a timely fashion. Perhaps Darren OBrien is running Data Systems.
So all is well in the D unit. Don't worry about us.
Make sure you have some cold water and a newspaper to read as your wilting for us to shw up.
