Very observant:
- A man was arrested early Sunday morning, for trying to sexually assault a 50-year-old woman out for a jog in the Old Town neighborhood, reports The Chicago Tribune.
The man grabbed her and dragged her into an alley near the 300 block of West Menomonee at around 7:30 this morning. Two other joggers heard her scream and were able to scare the attacker away, says the report.
Police Officer Matt Peterson was patrolling the area received an alert about the attack and found a man who matched the suspects description.
After questioning the 21-year-old man, Officer Peterson arrested him without incident.
Charges have not been filed.

Attaboy, Matt. To all the ghetto warriors out there decrying the north side "slow" districts, This pinch(even though probably downgraded to 0460) is worth more to civilized society than a thousand Englewood bullshit arrests. Real victims=real crime.
I don't know if this is the same incident, but on the TV yesterday they mentioned a man stabbing a woman across from the Cathedral. They made it to point out that the woman was black and was panhandling. She went up to the white man asking for money and he stabbed her. Would they had mentioned the race if the victim was white and person that stabbed her was black?
If you were to remove the slackers / deadbeats from the Marshall Field Homes and the Crowley Apartments (where this waste of life ran to), property taxes in Old Town would sky-rocket. This would help pay for the schools and bring in business. Instead we keep the wasteland that is Section 8 in the area so Walter Burnett (the bank robber) has a stable / dependent voter base. The opportunity cost alone should be enough to just bulldoze those buildings. But I guess I’m racist.
Some of us still do the work of the real police. Even though we are beat down by politicians, the media and the public. Regardless of who is in office, or what is written or reported: Citizens should understand that we are out there, going above and beyond what is expected. It was a good job by all officers who worked hard to find this offender. The citizens in the 018th district should know how fortunate they are to have all the younger officers - guys like M.P. looking out for them.

You're misunderstanding the concept. According to McLogicIsNotMyStrongPoint, WE are the bad, bad pilgrims who are pressing our vile, oppressive ideas of law and order and responsibility upon others.
A lot of team-work was involved in that pinch, many officers worked together that resulted in a heinous offender being arrested, but I cannot name any of the names per G.O. We have a great family of officers on 2nd Watch in 018 who work together, work hard and do the right thing, and we have The Prince of All Princes for our Boss. He is LOVED by the Blue Shirts, regardless of what anyone else thinks of him. He is a role model for all bosses to emulate.
What is he self promoting, their were a lot of officers who assisted in capturing this pos. The offender was flushed out. Kudos to all 18 th dist officers, not one guy.

Given the politics of the area, my guess is that the woman is experiencing the benefits of "diversity" she has probably supported for decades. Sometimes, you get exactly what you vote for lakefront liberals.

I had a boss like than until a couple of months ago. He is sorely missed. Now I have an "inside the tank" jackal with a title. Craptastic.

"The news do it?" Nice grammar. They almost never mention race. The people find out when they see the mugshot on the news.
At least they gave one cop credit. Next week they'll be saying he slapped the rapist and try to stick the COPPER in the joint instead of the bad guy.
