Firefighter Injured
Just pointing out that while the police and fire departments operate without a contract, they're still out there doing the job day after day:
Two young children and a Chicago firefighter suffered minor injuries in an early morning fire in the Little Village neighborhood on the West Side.
The fire began in the basement of a two-story home in the 2800 block of South Kedvale Avenue sometime before 3:30 a.m., according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Using three lines, firefighters extinguished the blaze by 4 a.m.
A 7-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy were taken to St. Anthony Hospital in good condition. A firefighter was taken to Rush University Medical Center with a back injury, also in good condition, authorities said.

Speedy recovery, sir, but don't rush to get back to work. Heal thoroughly first.
the first sentence of this post should be screamed on the front page of the papers. but thanks scc
I dont agree with ur jab at the teachers
....they did not get their raise as agreed upon on the previous contract for their last year..they worked last year with no raise...and unlike us they do not get a retro check....also teachers dint make 75k
.like rahm claims they do...teachers with a bachelors and 10 years on get 61,000
..to make 75k u need a double masters
The Fireman is indeed your friend!
Heal well our brother...
Thanks for your service. Prayers for a full recovery. Make sure you are ok before you try to come back.
You guys and the firemen work without a contract, run the risk of getting shot or killed in a building fire/collapse, and the teachers go on strike. Yeah, that makes sense in a Chicago kind of way. Y'know, this might be a clever Democrat trick so they can say, "See? We're tough on unions!" All the while, the unions are fighting to keep "Da One" in the White House. (Can we still say, "White House?" Or, is that "ra-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-acist?"

MADISON, Wis. — A Wisconsin judge on Friday struck down nearly all of the state law championed by Gov. Scott Walker that effectively ended collective bargaining rights for most public workers.

You mean Rahm LIED???
Oh, sorry. Deliberate misdirection isn't lying, is it?
Nice work, firefighter. You are a hero.
