Gee, A Repeat Offender
A man once convicted of threatening a police officer was charged Wednesday with firing a shot at a police car attempting to make a traffic stop, prompting an exchange of gunfire early Tuesday in the North Center neighborhood.
Luis Zapata, 21, of the 2900 block of North Seeley Avenue, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault of a police officer, two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm, one count of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a street gang member, police said. He has been arrested numerous times, most recently in February for aggravated assault of a police officer, according to police.
Zapata had previously been arrested for aggravated assault of a police officer, police said.

I laughed when I saw his $250,000 bond amount. I have no idea why police officers run around and even try to arrest these thugs when these judges mock their profession and their families giving a guy who has shot at a cop and has had prior RECENT convictions for fighting and resisting the police. In Texas, this guy would have been given no bond and would be getting a ten year sentence. Here, in Crooked County, he'll get supervision or probation and in later on this year he will kill a police officer or a poor innocent victim. The system is so flawed and no one seems to care other than cops and a few citizens who understand the problem but don't know what to do. The City and County has no morality anymore and this is why this GANG BANGER who shoots at cops with prior violent history will continue his behavior thanks to people like Governor Quinn and our County President who LOVES to let prisoners out of jail before their full term under the hospice of saving money. This city is lawless and you can hire 5,000 more cops and it won't do anything cause they have no power to do what they need to do. Thanks ACLU, you are doing a terrific job keeping our city safe!

Other than that, let the citizens wake up and be vocal with our garbage politicians, judges, and our crap justice system in this toilet city when they become victimized daily. But sadly, they won't. It's all about befriending the neighborhood thug and thinking how the mean, bad police are to them. GIMME A BREAK! Could you imagine if a youtube video filmed a cop slap the guy who shot at him? It would be headlines, and people would be prosecuted and pensions lost and outrage from all the libs. But the gang banger can shoot his guns at innocent people and police who protect the city, and no one seems to care?! I feel like i am living in an alternative universe where common sense doesn't exist. In other countries, in all seriousness, this guy who shot at the police wouldn't have needed a bond because in their country he would have already been buried. This city has been infiltrated by the radical, progressive, marxist, liberal left under the guise of moderate democrats that are for the needs of minorites so that they can get into positions of power and destroy us from within. Saul Alinsky, Barrack Obama, William Ayers, Bernadine Dorn are all left wing radicals, all from Chicago and all either studied or were professors at the University of Chicago. Their bible is Karl Marx's "Communist Manifesto" and Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals". Everyone should purchase these books and educate themselves on the enemy. They are getting bolder and bolder as time goes by because the peolple of Chicago will not stand up and vote everyone of them out. The answers to all our problems are right under our noses. All we have to do is pick up a book and educate ourselves and pass on this information to as many people as possible. The first thing we must do is educate as may people as possible on the constitution. How many people can say that they have read the U.S. Constitution or how many cops or military service members can say that they have read the constitution but have sworn to uphold and defend it. After the Constitutional Convention in 1787 Benjamin Franklin was approached by a young lady and said "Mr. Franklin, Mr. Franklin what kind of government are we going to have now?" Benjamin Franklin replied " A constitutional republic, if you can keep it."

Never ! Read the local rags. Crime is going down except when it goes up. The rahmunists who run the city won't allow the media to print/report anything that makes city hall look like they have lost control.
Don't worry about non existent crime, how can rahm get the speed cameras up and rolling in School zones ? He'll start by removing all the speed bumps and then he'll have images of children etched into the camera lens so they show up in the "violation notice". CPS will also start24/7 classes for those who want to study the daley/rahmbo method of saying one thing but actually meaning something else.
