Bears Toast

  • The Bears could spend between now and wild-card weekend counting the reasons they will be sitting at home with 10 wins.

A defensive meltdown in Week 13 against the Seahawks and a brutal loss at Minnesota the following week are good places to start. Their time will be better spent, however, compiling ways they can improve in 2013 after a second-half collapse could not be saved by road wins over the lowly Cardinals and Lions at the end of a season that began with great promise.

  • Questions will persist about the future of Smith, who has an 81-63 regular-season record in nine seasons, until Emery announces his plan. It will be interesting to see what role Chairman George McCaskey takes; most believe it was his call to fire GM Jerry Angelo a year ago.
With any luck, both the Bears and the CPD will be looking for new head coaches shortly.

Is firing Lovie Smith the answer? Is he the root of the problem: the Bears come up short in the talent scale when measured against leading teams.

So is it the coaching, training, game planning, scheming? Or is the talent and fit for the system?

The first the blame is Lovie's. The second is the GM and the Director of Player Personnel and the scouting and drafting staff.

Deep down inside I just KNOW the Packers blew it on purpose to give the Bears and their asshole fans a good old fashioned "Fuck You". The Pack really ain't worried about not having a bye week or home field advantage - those are small prices to pay in exchange for dashing the hopes of all the ignorant big city Bears fans. Good things happen to good people and pro athletes and their fans are no exception. Chicago sucks. The Bears suck. And so do the diehard hard-ons that cheer for them every year. Step back and observe how other people from other places do things. The Bears and their fans don't deserve shit. Ignorance and an entitlement mentality coupled with all the other facets and intricacies that are commonplace in Bears fans are as much of a problem as the Bears organization itself. Too bad Phil Jackson wasn't a football coach.

What kind of goof would actually believe GB would throw the game, therefore passing up a bye to heel and prepare. Further, why would the Packers rather play the Vikings again next week than this sorry-assed , Lovie-Tice coached group of misfits. If you don't know anything about football and are really this moronic, please stay off the blog. Ditka has a word for you . JERK.

Lovies gotta go. He has no fire. He has had years to fix the o line to give cutler time. He's failed. He once again has failed to make the playoffs.

The Devin Hester experiment was a complete failure too. Lovie insisted Hester was a #1 receiver. He obviously does not know football and has to go.

Fire Lovie and bring in Bill Cower!

Gotta fire Lovie to move forward into this century offensively. Terrible talent evaluation every year. He told new gm they had a good enough offensive line and told media that Kellen Davis at tight end is as good as any in our division and can do the things the best TE's can do. Really? 19 catches and a td. That puts hi as worst starter in league and J'Marcus Webb voted worst starting left tackle in nfl by sporting news and pro football weekly. just got word as writing this its official he got canned

So true!

The performances of almost all the sports teams in Chicago is a reflection of the dolts that pay good money to see the team/s lose year, after year, after year with no decernable improvement as the team owners laugh their asses off at how doltish the Chicago fans are.

The politicians are in on the same joke.

Chicago Hockey was the last vestige of decent sports entertainment but with the latest strike, fuck 'em.

They're all dead to me, now.

I'll never again spend hard earned dollars to pay for the yeho of overpaid prima dona's like Urlacher, et. al.

Maybe if CPD actually looked at the RESUMES of their people.....

That would be a good start!

Many decent P/o's and bosses that have good backgrounds and diverse experience that would be assets to promote and or slide into positions inhabited by some that have no clue nor did ANYTHING on this job....

Run their history its all on the computer and check their stats and see where folks have been and what they have done.

Half the bosses I work around I never seen in court nor in box one. Whats funny is how the same jaded selfish jags are the ones that do not write others up for honorable mentions or awards due to their own jealousy and issues of not having many.

These people that fit this category are NOT nor ever have been the real police and its funny how they like to punish and yell to get their points across but get no response and lack of respect. Then get discussed on here and amongst the troops that work around them.

But when someone well respected can just deliver a message and the men and women jump to help them out and get results then that is a true leader and boss.

Keep putting the wrong goofballs into positions where the men and woomen suffer then react to that...then this job becomes fucked!

Now it is so far gone due to lack of quality control and the mis-management of the management that I am not sure who can figure this all out to re-structure the department to reflect positive change.

From 001 to 025 thru the units these issues are all over and are the same. The stories and problems are just different as are the faces.

Our biggest problem is we lack respect of ourselves and it shows!

Happy 2013! Stay safe! Fire away!

That Adrian Peterson is a phenom? A miracle how he came back from that injury so fast and so strong.

It's a no-brainer: AP is the NFC MVP.

Sometimes you have to tip your hat to the other guy.

Watch Waddy. When asked about bringing back Urhlacher said Lovie would bring him back as a Ass't Coach. Asked what was his market value elsewhere, Waddy said "None."

Urlacher is done. Contract is done, as is his body. Just wait for Canton to call.

Hester thinking retirement. May depend on how big his roster bonus is this year.

Top flight receiver? Greg Jennings from Green Bay may be available.

But GB may have the money to keep if they cut Woodson.
