Concealed Carry End Around

If anyone ever questioned aldercreature Burke's credentials for carrying a concealed weapon, don't worry.  Eddie has a back-up plan that should cover everything:
  • It might surprise some citizens that, in addition to being Chicago’s most powerful alderman, Ed Burke is a private eye.

Ald. Burke (14th), who chairs the influential City Council Finance Committee is, according to state records, a licensed private detective, trained and authorized to carry a semiautomatic weapon.

Burke also is a licensed private security contractor.

He is approved by Illinois statute to carry a gun while “in the performance of his . . . duties” and carry it “to and from” his place of employment.

Where is that place of employment?

Burke’s application is silent on that except to say that Ed Burke employs Ed Burke.

Burke also was trained — and approved — in 1999 to use a shotgun and rifle.
Golly. All that AND bodyguards, too.

And that State Senator Trotter? He has a security guard job that allows him to carry a weapon, too.

And wonder of wonders, outspoken anti-gunner and author of the "assault weapons ban" Senator Diane Feinstein has :::gasp!!!::: a Concealed Carry permit from California.

And Harry Reid, an anti-gun senator from Nevada, carried a gun "everywhere [he] went" while serving on the Nevada Gaming Commission

And Rahm Emanuel, a midget tyrant who succeeded another midget tyrant, traipses around Chicago telling everyone how safe it is, how the should come visit and spend their money here, all while surrounded by how many armed body guards? And his home, over at 4228 N. Hermitage? Surrounded 24 hours a day by marked and unmarked squad cars. And a heavy weapons team. Why all the guns? Why all the guns carried and owned by democrats who claim guns are the problem, guns don't protect you from harm, guns walk around and jack up the murder rate in Chicago on a daily basis.

Anyone sensing a little bit of hypocrisy here? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

You'll love this bit of hypocrisy: Every weekend I try to get up to the Concervancy Club of Kenosha County in Bristol, Wisconsin. Why drive all the way up to Wisconsin to shoot you ask, well first of all an entire day of shooting only costs me $5 while back in IL it would cost me $20+ per hour. I also like WI because of the people! Those down to earth, blue collar people that visit the range, people like none other than Alderman Ed Burke! Its not uncommon (3 out of 4 weekends a month) to see Ed up there in Bristol with his 3 police body guards and his city of chicago car, while Ed squeezes a few pistol rounds off!

They want to arm themselves and disarm the people so that they're easier to enslave and tax.

And don't worry. Those armed guards around the mayor are very poor shots for the most part. Placed by connections, not by skill.

Reason #5 why citizens should be allowed to own assault weapons with extended clips.

DOJ's Operation Fast and Furious.

Our own government arms terrorist and drug cartels with these same weapons and we should be allowed the same level of force.

These US government supplied weapons have been used against our own border guards and they trickle back into the country and into our local communities.

Washington has been unwilling or unable to control the borders and Mexico is currently in a state of war. Washington refuses to control the flow and in fact the Fast and Furious has all been swept under the rug.

Additionally, FNF is not the first time the USA have armed terrorist with weapons to be used against Americans. We have an established pattern of doing so. Iran contras,? Bin Laden in Afghanistan when he was fighting the Russians.

YOU are your own first responder.

hahaha.. so the presidents council on banning guns is looking at banning violent video games now.

THAT'S IT!!!

Require a federal registration card and a background check with a three day waiting period to anyone that wants to buy a game.

Also these games should be tracked when you trade or resell them so that we know where they came from.

Unfortunately this is all going to cost money to set up so we'll have to charge for permits and training etc. It's for the children!

If it stops just one game from Grand Theft Auto from falling into the wrong hands resulting in a mass murder then isn't it worth it?

If it saves just one child isn't it worth it? No it's not about the revenue stream. Not at all.

At-ta-boy that's how you use the crisis.

Ill never forget years ago in 009 when he lived on 50th maplewood or Campbell.. I forget but it was a nice corner seldom used house. H came on air as "Car 1". I need assistance. Upon our arrival he had tow young Latino kids, one by the collar and revolver in burks hand. " I caught these kids trying to break in on my property he said. My partner and I did an "investigation" asking them what happened noticing they were dressed nice. They stated We live here next door. I just made my conformation, Catholic" 7th grade and that is my brother. I noticed 1 had a small figurine of a catholic saint. maybe I think San Francisco but not sure.. Saint Francis (English)..................He said my brother was waving around the money he received when he opened a card and the wind blew it out of his hand. We chased the money as it blew around onto his lawn and the street. " That guys " motion light went on and he came out of the house yelling with a gun in his hand. We tried to explain but he would not listen.

The Democrats are afraid of thier voting block. They should be.

The best description I heard during the election was about a football stadium. If the election was the big game, which side of the stadium do you want to sit with: the welfare, free phone, big government, big union thug, anti-police and pot smokers? Or the small government, self reliant, pro-police, pro-family flag wavers?

Nobody should pick on Burke he was an officer of the law sometime ago!

he even has a blue light police camera by his house to protect his neighborhood.

You cant even walk in his alder-manic office because he has a west side store security set up.

He employs full fledged officer who wear the best of the mens warehouse suit.

I feel much safer with him around.

Another point to remember: licensed private investigators don't have to register their guns. The handgun ban that got tossed didn't really ban handguns, it just refused to allow new registrations, thus a de facto ban existed. Since a PI doesn't have to register and Burke is a "PI" he could skirt around the ban. Two sets of rules!

Ahhh but not to worry. The crack city lawyers are working on it. I would imagine they have some time on their hands now that millions of dollars of taxpayer money was spent on that bartender beating case.

The taxes that any gun shop is pulling in right now for the suburbs is like a gold mine with the weapon sales soaring. Anyone think that a suburban mayor is going to put a boot on their neck causing them to lose that money? I think not.

If Rahm wants to over-reach and crack down on straw buyers why isn't Rahm cracking down on the DOJ's Fast and Furious operation and bring those people to justice?

The World-Class City's World-Class museum is cutting staff, exhibits, and will be open less hours including cutting much needed scientist with the higher math and science scores??

What happened to all the NATO inspired tourist? What happened to the employment growth?? Where's the money going??

------------------

The Associated Press

CHICAGO — Chicago's renowned Field Museum, a major center of global scientific research, has announced plans to cut staff, overhaul operations and limit the scope of its research because of a high debt load and the recession.

The natural history museum might also change hours of operation and raise admission prices for special exhibits at one of the city's best-known cultural attractions, museum officials said Tuesday.

The Field Museum is known for its research into plants and animals and impressive collections, including Sue, the world's largest and best-preserved Tyrannosaurus rex.

The Field's cost-cutting measures will be an opportunity to refocus the mission of the museum, which was founded in 1893, officials said.

They hope to cut $5 million in costs and increase the museum's endowment by $100 million. Museum staff and board members will work on a plan between now and July 1.

The staff cuts will be aimed at curators and scientists.

Read more here: http://www.bradenton.com/2012/12/19/4322492/field-museum-cutting-staff-overhauling.html#storylink=cpy

Let me remind you that whenever you see an organization announcing cuts "to save" like it's a good thing..there are wages and people and services in those $5 million dollar cuts and that money no longer trickles down and no longer taxed at several levels -- that also pay for city services. It affects us all.

So....whelp I guess we have that $55 million dollar Maggie Daley park that the tourist can go to right? The people can sit there and feed the pigeons and the coyotes. Eff science. Who needs science. We need a $55 million dollar park for people to go Apple picking in. Right boys and girls? Just jump on the $300,000 per-mile bike path to get there.

By and large their employees don't know the law or procedures and really are just amateurs. Few schools offer good training and those that do have a hard time getting students because, once they are told this is the course of instruction many opt out. I have been a armed and unarmed security instructor and work armed security. This situation sucks big time!

There was a time in Chicago's history when almost anyone with clout could get a Cook County Deputy Sheriff's badge.

Weekend bailiff, part-time summons server, sheriff's posse member, and they all could carry a gun.

Some guy by the name of Al Brown, whose business card said he was in the second hand furniture business had one of those stars...

That Al Brown... A.K.A. Al Capone

Headline Reads" "Rahm Emanuel plans crackdown on suburban gun shops"

Cha-Ching..looks like yet another ACLU or challenge to the constitution coming up boys. A little overreach beyond his scope of responsibilities in the making maybe?

This is how a plutocracy works.

Is Rahm going to pull that stunt like Daley did, send undercover crews into store with concealed videos, no warrants, and try to make "straw purchases".

In one case, a retired cop is the store clerk and recognizes one of the undercovers as one of the straw purchasers. The retired cop doesn't let on because he doesn't want to blow the cover of an undercover officer in what might be a legit undercover operation.

Why not hire more cops.

McNumbnuts claims Chicago has more cops per capita that any other large city in the country. What he doesn't tell you is that New York and Los Angeles both have large school police departments of some sort, NYC has the Port Authority Police, and Los Angeles has the L.A. County Sheriffs Department patrolling the city.

Any new mayor ought to launch him as the first official act.

Al Brown (AKA Al Capone) would be better off running this city than anyone else. Bring back Al please. Hahahahaha.

The Dixmoor Park District was the worst offender. One broken down playlot with a park district that didn't even own a lawnmower, but dozens of part-time police.

I miss Robert Hall. They were some bad-ass suits.
