015 is losing their best beat cop. Congrats Tierney!
Well, that is now 2 less ET's.... I don't think combining ET North and ET South will help at all, especially with travel times and having to go to Homan Square to package evidence. We don't want to leave evidence from multiple scenes together in the same car. So, a scene in 004 requires a trip back to Homan Square and how long will that take? Same goes for anything from 024 or the far northwest end of 016. Try doing the traveling on the Dan Ryan during any rush hour. Yup, wait times will get longer and longer. And, complaining about how long something takes is not helpful. The ET has to be systematic so they can adequately testify in court years later, so rushing is not an option. At least there are recruits in the Academy. They should have been there a year or two ago.
If you haven't found the list, you're probably not on it.
3 made the list from 018 - 1 from each Watch - I have worked with all 3, and all are professional police officers, and Noble Souls as well, who will soon be great Detectives!

Wow Garry, to hear you speak like that is impressive. You must be the reason for the massive increase in the decrease. Sorry, I usually disregard most of the BS like yours, but yours sounds like people have been calling you "insignificant and meaningless" since you became a merit pick.

Those who made merit, congrats , too, but remember you skipped ahead of the last people on the list, and that still weighs heavy on a lot of the troops. To 07:22 , E.T.s aren't looking for any sympathy , as far as dog asses are concerned we have our share ( minus 1 big one , JZ will soon be pulling his shenanigans in the D unit ) but the waits will get longer with the move to Homan Square and fewer bodies , everyday there are more E.T.s "detailed" to 177 than are working the street , if you don't want to wait quit calling for nonsense burglaries to abandoned and burned out buildings , for the next 3to 6 months all the E.T.s will be working out of the vendetaria at Homan and trying to share 2 computers while living out of the trunks of our cars , the powers that be don,t give a rats ass about the folks that work for them or the beat cars that have to wait for service and that is the ultimate truth .
Thanks to all the fine POs I have had the pleasure of trolling around the city with in a marked patrol car. I have some very fond memories keeping company with you wonderful people. I thank the Lord for such a great Christmas gift.

The initial poster is actually spot on. Get ready for all the coppers that want to tell you how to do a job they've never done. Congratulations. You will still enjoy being your own boss. For the most part.

PO,s coming up with the most bizarre stories to justify their arrests. Bosses who don,t understand the law and ASA,s who can't make a decision without calling for help.

HEY, Congrats to all the New Detectives!!!!! All is not lost to those who didn't make the watch bids. Look on the bright side. Those district will have openings on the watches in either the 3rd 6Th or 9Th periods if the slots vacated were bid spots. Good Luck and watch out for trickery. I'm just saying.
