The Fix Falters

  • After disclosing ties to former Mayor Richard Daley, the judge randomly assigned to the case against Daley nephew Richard "RJ" Vanecko stepped aside Monday.

Prosecutors in turn called for a judge outside of Cook County to preside over the case.
The odds on some sort of plea deal just jumped up to 50-50.

This judge was either arrogant or stupid or all of the above when he didn't recuse himself the first court date. Just because you disclose all your connections doesnt absolve you. Even though he recused himself for the second court date, Im sure someone told him to do it because it just looks bad.

The best part was the defense team complaining that it was a slap in the face to all cook county judges to have an outside judge. Uh, as soon as all judges stop having to kiss monsignor Burkes ring to be made a judge then we can have a little more confidence in judges.

Vanecko -- You are exactly the type of cocksure motherf__er who sticks out like a sore thumb so badly, for so long, that any decent judge is going to "make an example out of you" to prove to all and sundry that there is "equal justice under the law," etc.

Some of the guys from DuPage put on a fresh, neatly pressed black hood every morning as they go out the door to work.

Be afraid, R.J.

Be very afraid.

*Snicker!*

look at it like this...

The judge they wanted to preside over this fiasco is likely crazy like a fox for talking up his ties then saying he could be impartial.

He may have actually figured Daley Inc. and Rahm & Co. werre setting him up to be the sucker...

Like another poster famously said... They screw these useful and disposable stooges into and out of the chicago demo-communist party light fixtures like so many bulbs...

Reckon that "your honor" didn't feel like taking one for the team like Michael Scott did...

"We need you to do this for us..."

*buuulllllsheeeeeiiit! fuck THAT noise!*

I think they should get a judge from out-of-state....maybe Iowa, isn't that where one of our brothers was incarcerated for far less? And if not, maybe a North Dakota or Wyoming 'hanging' judge?

I hope you're right, but I'll believe it when I see it! Daley's reach is all the way to the Oval Office!

When Webb brings in the forensic computer expert and he delves into the bowels of CLEAR/CHRIS, Blackberry's and the MUDDS/TOLLS of the system that the City of Chicago contracts for telephone service you will find numerous former exempts explaining their actions to the Grand Jury and the court system.

Will Rahm approve the hiring of lawyers to defend them?

Botched Homicide Investigation; Golden Parachute
by administrator | Monday December 17, 2012 11:40 am

After a botched indictment of Mayor Daley’s nephew…

“the lead ‘investigator’ ends up with a Chicago police pension; a new job at the Attorney General’s Office; a fat 32% pay hike; total annual income over $140,000;
and the potential to ‘retire’ on a second government pension.”

The irony is if he wouldn't have run off and if his friends wouldn't have flushed their integrity away and told the truth of the night, it probably would have away on it's own. LOL. Karma sometimes bites back.

The judge was probably crazy like a fox... >Wink<

Just enough song and dance to make it look like he was going along with the inner party okie-doke...

He might not be as big a damn fool as the party apparatchiks thought he was.

Get a mean hanging judge from downstate who has an abiding hatred of Chicago-style business as usual and who knows the law and how to apply it.

See how they run...

O.T. SCC by the time you post new topics good 'ol 13th district WOOD St. as we know it will no longer exist. Its been a nice run in the good ol 013 district. as of 0001hrs on 19 December the new call #'s will be 12?? 'Near West' ( new station on Blue Island and 14th) and 25th District Grand/Central will become/inherit the #'13'..

It has been a pleasure working with the many P.O'S that have graced the halls of the old station that once housed a misdeamenor court branch and for those that can remember it even had a community swimming pool in the parking lot alongside the garage.
