Manning the Sat Teams
Any truth to this?
- They have the manpower. All the house mouses will take a spot from a
P.O.in a District who will move over to the saturation team. Various
other spots were eliminated such a 4 P.O.s from the Training Division, 2
from the Mounted Unit, CTA O"Hare will go back to the O'Hare Unit, 018
and 001 have to give up 3 each from their foot or bike patrols.
The saturation Unit will use 9 passenger vans to drop off the Officers to their designated spots and the Sgt will log from the van.
One radio per 2 man team.
We also heard that a number of districts had to send people by reverse seniority because no one was shortsighted enough to volunteer for a spot that will only get them dumped to Area South as some point in the not so distant future.

009 was close to having to do it by reverse seniority, people were turning it down left and right. Best part was we had a few people get "put on the list" even though they never submitted a packet.
There were people falling over themselves to get on a team. So i doubt the stories about reverse seniority.
Do P.O's that get sent by reverse seniority have more contract protections than everyone else?
Area south sucks. I mean, when i say sucks, it absolutely sucks. There is just nothing good about the entire area. If you work anywhere decent at all, anywhere where you can actually frequent a dining establishment in your district without fear of getting sick, poisoned, shot, you should stay. Do not come south. you will regret it.

If you get sent by reverse seniority, wouldn't that be a detail? Shouldn't you get sent back to your unit of assignment should it end?
What if you go there by reverse seniority and don't do squat? When Escalante came to our roll call looking for volunteers for a North sat team, he said they wanted activity, and if you weren't producing, they would send you back. What are they going to do to you?
Here's more typical BS lies.....the Rahmunist and his muppet are all over the media claiming 200 officers will be put on saturation teams.....the VERY NEXT MORNING while on WGN McMuppet is asked about this and his answer: well, we have 60 officers right now that will go Friday. We are trying to figure out how to best deploy the rest. Just like the Rahmunist added 1000 officers to the streets....over 500 of which were already on the streets. We need to find a good candidate to run against this jag in 2years.
Anyone signing up for this needs a check up from the neck up.

004 is a good place, great Commander and bosses and some great places to eat in the district that like the police.

Yes. It's in the contract. Look under section 23.4 CANNON FODDER.
The 010th District was by reverse senority. Nobody would go near it.
Why have the court section and I.S. remained so untouchable in all this??? Any idea how many useless scammers are hiding in the court section on bullshit light duty!!!! Sgt.RP can't work the street but he can golf! I.S. is so loaded with people who do one job!!

Same thing will happen to volunteers as with TRU and MSF. The "strategy" will end and you volunteers will be sent south permanently.

Sounds like the units droped behind enemy lines in Nam. All we need now is our helicopter. There are enough vacent lots to land on the southside and deploy our guys.

OT - FOP has not updated the "Current Death Notices" since Tues 22 Jan.
Some guy was saying the reason he was sent to academy to teach is because he has a teaching background and hes fit to teach officers. Hey, stop sucking up we all know how u get there, u want to teach anything go back out to the streets and be an FTO...stop hiding out at the academy over some BS classes!

The people from the academy can go out and practice their "Legitimacy" philosophy.

Why would anyone sign up for sh!t like this? Working with young and old cops who were forced to work is not going to be productive. Guess some still believe units are better. Some are and some are not. Know before you sign up.
