We have a memo, purportedly from the Area North Deputy Chief's Office, requesting two sergeants from each District be sent to another one of those "Job Analysis Sessions" that means "listen to McCarthy tell war stories for two hours."

The memo is in regards to the job analysis interviews being done by the company that will put together next Sgt test. This is not for the sup focus group.
Do not send us those who have knowledge of subject areas or expertise in particular fields, send us skin color in the darker variety. That's what's important here. And make sure they like socialist rhetoric.

More importantly, can we talk about this M/4 sgt in 004 who is sparring multiple people daily. He is on a huge power trip because no one respects him even though he is the commanders jocker.

My lieutenant assigned me to attend. It actually asked for seven sergeants -four Whites, two African Americans and one Hispanic - from our district to attend. I thought it was for assisting with the development of the new sergeant exam, so I eagerly volunteered. I'll let you know how it turns out.
It also asked for one or two female arts.
Affirmative action has run it's course, and needs to end!

That is Exactly what it said!
I had to read it 3 times to make sure it really said that.
I would like to see how Area's Central and South Patrol worded their message to districts.

You're not entitled to anything in this world, much less a promotion because you happen to be black. The company making the test has already interviewed enough white sgts and needs to interview minorities. This is because in the past the lawsuits following a promotional exam usually are based on that it was not fair for minorities. The company making the test prides itself on that it's tests have been argued before the US Supreme court and the have won.
It's funny reading this posters getting their gstring in a bunch. Private company doing research for entrance exams. Not all applicants are from mt hillbilly so relax and go back to scratching those lottery tickets at the 7-11.
Rumor I heard was next sgt test won't have any CAPS related material on it because all the recruits that went through academy in 2005 didnt have any CAPS training.

If you believe that. You will never get promoted! Obviously you haven't taken or passed any promotional exams......If it isnt on the exam its not 4 that reason. Here is a hint they give you a LIST of the orders etc to study for promotional exams.......CAPS didn't exist when I started however you better believe it was on the test that I scored in the top 100 on and made Sgt.......by the way I'm a non-merit Lt now.............

Too many white Sergeants are TAKING ADVANTAGE of the merit process? So you admit the merit process is supposed to be used to get more blacks because they can't pass the test? I think the merit thing sucks, but I don't recall seeing it say anything about race!@

I don't know why they are leaving it up to the districts. You know the race, watch, age, furlough, time on job, time in grade, and DOG of every sergeant in the city. Give the districts a list of which sergeants you want. With a little digging you can even probably get ballpark ideas of what each sergeant is good at through their activity in CLEAR. If you want it done right, do the work.
Come on now, everyone knows diversity is the most important thing ever, far more important than competence.
We all know what diversity means too, the NBA is heralded as one of the most diverse organizations out there, it's nearly all black. Univision is very diverse as well, it's all Latino. The NHL, however, is in desperate need of diversity.

This is a good thing. Having some of the minority merit picks talk to supt NYC will open his eyes and maybe he'll see these are the people who he has to pick from when he Has to pick a minority for gold star promotions! Some of these supervisors can't do the job of a patrolman and yet they the supervisors.
Rumor I heard was next sgt test won't have any CAPS related material on it because all the recruits that went through academy in 2005 didnt have any CAPS training.

So, this means that entire group of recruits was too stupid to pick up any CAPS knowledge in the interim nine years?

want a fair sgt test , give test with only fingerprints or employee id on answer sheet
let an independent cpa grade test and post results in newspaper the following week .
results will be 95 % male and female whites in the top 200 .
No merit promotions will help turn cpd around . Let's also require all captains , XO's , command staff to take the next sgt test and post their score .

The CPD "lawyers" want to sue for everything. One of the latest was the department was asking for black sgts to take part in a discussion group at headquarters, probably because enough didnt want to go or werent sent and the department wanted diversity when asking questions of the sgts. You should have seen the comments, sue for big bucks, its discrimination, sue, sgts should hire a lawyer
