In the Heitmann case Geiger filed suit against the city over our inabilty to get time off whether it be comp time, personal day, BFD. The Judge ordered to city and FOP to settle the case and we got duty trades as a result. Geiger was also was paid legal fees by the city. How much money did the city pay Geiger, did he give the money to FOP, if not why? Did any officer ever get a day off via a duty trade? Mike you would not give the information to the FOP Board of Directors who asked on many occasions. It's time to be transparent like you promised, give the members information they are entited to unless this was just another Geiger scam.

Yes; Brown was thrown out of FOP for allegedly releasing a confidential memo ... another Board member did the exact same thing and when they were both brought before the FOP Board, Brown was thrown out and the other Board member was not. Happened in the Mt Olive Cemetery when two opposing gangs happened to be there to visit their homies (who ironically happen to be buried next to each other). One group left and returned with a gun. They waited until the first group left and opened up on them. Both gang are from 025. Riis Park area. 2 offenders (SD's) in custody by 025 Tact and him recovered. Victim was MK from 013.

Harold Brown is a POS. He was let go by both Donahue and Shield administrations. That should tell you something right off.
Under Donahue the gift shop kept coming up short on the inventory. End of story there for me.
Under the Shields, Brown took am email and sent it out to between 350-500 coppers. Harold Brown was too stupid to know not to use his own email account to send it out. The second trustee only sent the email to the former past presidents of the fop. I think this guy need to retire from the board but not for this alone. The email was from a secretary who was fired and was looking for money (like the ghetto lottery). She was paying child support and had alleged substance abuse. End of the story for me there too.
The pregnant lawyer has a history of getting fired and suing former employers. Again end of story for me there too.
Any other suits I don’t know the particulars and do not feel at ease about posting about them. But that won’t stop the AIDS and Bilotta’s from doing that or the people who are planing to run in the next election. If there are more of these - go to a meeting and ask about them.
If you are planning to run for office in the next election post your name here now and come out of the closet. While I’m no fan of Shields most of the posting here benefits only Rahm. While we all enjoy the humor I think we can all remember that our first week in the academy we were all told coppers are their own worst enemies.

Lets see now - in the past day we have had an HBT situation with a gunman, a gang assassination attempt and an armed home invasion.
Let me take this opportunity to thank the Mayor and the Superintendent for taking all of our police officers away while still allowing us to pay the highest taxes in the City.
The taxpayers in the 016th District thank you both. We will also remember this at election time.

I was only talking about the slugs on the FOP Board. Read the 1st sentence over again. None of them are getting D3 pay. Donahue got Dic's pension and Aguilar would only get an FTO pension.

Why is Paul still working for FOP? He should have been fired. I could see him getting a break for one accusation but for multiple accusations -- um no this POS needs not only to lose his law license but his job with us. What 14th district do you work in? The place is great, good new Cmdr, great capt, the Lts (except for the nutty Lt on 3rd watch) are good. Sgts are mixed, like anywhere. I've never heard from any of them to write more anything. They do constantly say to document the stops, but thats it. They tell us where the problem spots are and expect us to be there. So? No stupid boxes to circle the block in.

Cop in 14 also wrote a physical therapist who works with all the cops in 014 and citywide with physical rehab. After the civilian told the cop I am in PT with you guys and my medical office is in 014 cop basically said I don't give a PHUCK.

You get some of this in the cemetery on west side of Pulaski, north of Foster a ways. These groups come up there on the Pulaski bus to visit Pookie, I guess, and they are VISIBLY completely freaked, terrified by the alien green surroundings. Not a liquor store or abandoned car or anything to hide behind for blocks and blocks, just a long street and a long fence. They stand in a knot all crazy and shout at people passing by, like something was going to happen.
It seems to be some weird variant of agoraphobia. The same people do fine when it is 2,000 at a time on the Red Line.

Mike Shields you need to have some information to make available to the membership Tuesday. In the Heitmann case Geiger filed suit against the city over our inabilty to get time off whether it be comp time, personal day, BFD. The Judge ordered to city and FOP to settle the case and we got duty trades as a result. Geiger was also was paid legal fees by the city. How much money did the city pay Geiger, did he give the money to FOP, if not why? Did any officer ever get a day off via a duty trade? Mike you would not give the information to the FOP Board of Directors who asked on many occasions. It's time to be transparent like you promised, give the members information they are entited to unless this was just another Geiger scam.
