18 Years
- A former veteran Chicago narcotics officer was sentenced today to 18 years in prison for using his badge to help a violent crew of drug dealers kidnap and rob rivals of large amounts of cocaine and millions in cash.
Nothing to add to this....just another black eye.

Major Mexican Narcotics Squad breathes a sogh of relief..
Don't do the time if you can't do the time.
Unless you shoot your wife outside of a restaurant in Los Angeles and somehow escape conviction when the jury believes you couldn't have done it bc you were walking back to "get your gun" which you left in a booth.
Nice hiring profile the dept. uses.
There will always be someone that slips through the cracks.
Can he still wear the bad rug in prison?
Well Glenn was it worth it in the end?
You had some years of living large but look where it took you!
Great........ hope he's happy.
Of course the difference between Robert Blake and this goof is that Blake didn't take an oath.
But you've got to admit, Baretta had a pretty catchy theme song.
Not sad...just stupid.
I cheer when pricks like that get screwed. We have enough problems staying out of jail or getting sued by simply doing our job honestly.
Only in America!
fuck him
Brand new tow truck scam. Only 6 coppers in this round.
Shame, shame, shame...and to give a 'thumbs up' to your family because you ducked a life sentence?
You're already an old man. As far as I'm concerned, 18 years IS a death sentence.

Remember, Blake's gun didn't show any signs of being fired. Some kind of way, he must have shot his wife with another gun, and then quickly disposed of it some kind of way, or he had a hired gun outside (the more likely scenario) who did it for him and fled the scene. IN any event, don't blame Blake for walking away; either the State can prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt, or it can't. Even though I wouldn't do such a thing, I can understand why Blake either did or had someone else do the deed. His now deceased wife made no secret (even admitting it on a taped interview) of coming to SouthCal to find a celeb of some sort to get impregnated and 'ride the wave.' Well, she rode it...all the way to a permanent dirt nap. Sometimes the gold diggers reap what they sow.
Hooking up with crooks and informants....how many times do dumbasses like this have to get caught before everyone learns a lesson. At 85% He's gonna be in until 2028 or so.
Think about that.
I thought we were a semi military organization? WTF
Nice Who Was his Phone Call to get the Great Narc Gig in the first place????
Do Nothing UnClouted Sux
He sold his soul.
Funny how he got Less time then the Copper M.S. did from 22
The judge gave him 18yrs so he might get out before he dies. Does the full 18 have to be served or is it 80%?
My main concern does he have over 20 yrs on so I can move up a spot in seniority.

I don't know exactly who put Glenn in Narcotics back in about 1992 or 93 (hoke was commander), but the reason he supposedly got there was because of his great work in 009. Glenn was cleaning up the liquor establishments that entertained dope dealers. When he came to Narcotics he went straight to a big shot team that focused on weight, not the tavern team as one would think. Go figure.
The bottomless pit never ceases to produce.

In the Fed, it's about one month off for every 12 months you do with no parole.
Lotta guys were very nervous in 189...,,they was a group fighting each other to work with Saul the informant....was it worth it for a few big dope pinches.....nobody remembers your dope pinches but remembers you went to the fed joint!!!! There are a few guys that worked with the informant when Glenn was long gone.....they still in 189...,..wonder if they are nervous? Is the case done?
White trash!
Clout to get to 189 back in da day '' FAT PHILL ''
I'll pray for you! Be strong we all make mistakes in life, just
Not like this. God loves you my brother.
