Thank goodness that the supposed robbery on Michigan Avenue was a hoax. We'd hate to think that misguided youths left the green pastures of Englewood and deliberately targeted the weak or infirm members of society for whatever nihilistic impulses distracted them from church, homework, and community service.

- Three teenagers face sex assault charges after they raped a 12-year-old girl at gunpoint and posted a video of the December attacks on Facebook, prosecutors said.
Scandale Fritz, 16, Kenneth Brown, 15, and Justin Applewhite, 16, were all ordered held in lieu of $900,000 bail in a hearing today before Criminal Court Judge James Brown, said Cook County state's attorney spokeswoman Tandra Simonton. The three were charged as adults.
The assaults took place about 3:30 p.m. Dec. 15 in Fritz's home in the 400 block of West 60th Place in the Englewood neighborhood, according to Chicago police records.
Yup. Everything is fine. This will probably be a hoax, too.

Just curious. Where are the videos that show that the robbery story wasn't true? And is the alleged perpetrator of the hoax going to face any charges?

So why are the media protecting this old biddy's identity? She's obviously someone of means, and may well be a civic leader of some standing, but she's still guilty of filing a false report and stirring up trouble.
Why the delay in charging. Was this because of a needed investigation or the ASA's office. Old retired detective would like to know if there is any needed improvement or support from the ASA these days.
There is no fear of the consequences of the law. Since they are under age, making comments about using "Sparky" wont soothe the public anger.
It would be an interesting to see how many of the people in jail were on public aid or raised on public aid? I wonder if there were any scientists out there that would apply for a grant to find out. (is it worth the wrath of the liberals to attempt such a study?)

First, I know I'm not supposed to gripe about being out of patrol and in a special unit. HOWEVER, it is hard to see a once great unit go to trash in less than two years. It's getting bad enough when people in patrol say NO to going to the unit when asked.
They keep dumping veteran's and keep the phone calls that have no clue, it's that bad. Now the additional Safe Passage BS that's being dumped in our laps.

Just when they were turning their lives around they turned her over.This was a once great Police dept. Then the "LITTLE MAN" from the south side came and turned it into shit. Now the "LITTLE MAN" from the North side gets his turn to pile it on can we try to vote in someone 6' or over Repub. or independent that can do this job?
