- An man in his 80s was hospitalized after he was knocked to the ground and robbed of his wallet at a Loop CTA subway station Thursday morning.
The attack happened at 10:33 a.m. in the subway in the 300 block of South Dearborn, where the Blue Line connects with the Red Line, according to Chicago Police ...
The victim was walking up the stairs to the platform when he was knocked down and had his wallet taken....
Someone needs to ban CTA platforms. ASAP.

What are there like almost four coppers on every corner downtown and still this crap goes on at high noon no less.
I can't wait for the concealed carry to take effect and some law abiding citizen kills about 4 or 5 of these fucken savages who are trying to rob them.
9.5 and Mcdumbass are gonna be screaming " it's the Wild West out here see!! We told you so" not even thinking to criticize the savages for there actions at all. We all know it will happen nothing is said that is logical here.
But it's gonna be great to see these savages running for cover now that the playing field will soon be level.
I've been off-duty or going to/from court a few times in the past month and have found myself at either the Jackson blue or red line stops. Each time, it was like a west side street corner party--yelling, music blasting, smoking weed, groups of 10 intimidating people. It was disgusting and a disgrace to the decent people who have to tide to and from work with unemployed, entitled animals. And nary a copy was seen, of course. If we're copying NYPD's Compstat, where's the huge crackdown on public transit quality of life violations?
Not to worry. The CTA's new specially cross-trained security/customer service personel will stop all this nonsense . . . right after they get off the ground after getting knocked on their ass.

And let me guess you did nothing. according to general order at the very least you were supposed to call 911. But obviously you didnt you walked by and let them continue acting like savages and did nothing. You probably are the same guy that complains about the mayor and never votes. and complains about Fop and has never been to a meeting.

you know, there is something especially evil about going after the elderly. To me, they are as bad as child molesters. Anyone who hurts the elderly should be hung up and beaten to death like a pinata. And I can't wait till CCW because it's just going to take one fed up, angry, pissed off innocent person who gets rubbed the wrong way by these evil-souled wildings and then all hell is gonna break loose. Thought the expensive cameras were the answer to the crime problem on the CTA. Nice to have cameras everywhere but you also need someone watching those cameras to alert police. Nobody is watching the store.
I think that if CCW does finally become reality, the People In Charge will Zimmerman the first permit holder who fights back.
