Must Be Nice...

  • When Gov. Pat Quinn pardoned a politically connected city of Chicago health department official in late 2011, he didn’t just erase Juan Elias’ rap sheet, which included convictions for marijuana possession, burglary and vote fraud.

The pardon also kept Elias, who heads 1st Ward Ald. Joe Moreno’s political organization, safely in the $78,828-a-year city job that he got after failing to disclose on his job application that he had a criminal past.

Asked if he’d ever been convicted of “any crime,” Elias, 46, checked “no” on the 1990 job application, city records show.

That wasn’t true. Elias actually had two felony convictions at that time — one for a burglary, the other for an arrest with more than three pounds of marijuana, the Chicago Sun-Times reported last year.
It certainly is amusing that we have to pass background checks, but if you collect welfare, make laws or work for a political organization that makes laws and hands out welfare money, you can deal dope and have a felony record without suffering a break in the steady paychecks.

Well the downstate judges: one just overdosed on cocaine and the other has been busted just a few days ago with heroin while toting a gun.

Hizz honor was released on an I bond and was also asked to stay away from guns because they think he's an addict.

Broken System

Now you see why you need it to be a "shall issue" state. If you think governor pardons are bad, wait till you see the reward list CCW. Aldercreatures will be selling to just about anyone connected to the party and has the $.

The anti American revolutionaries are obviously taking over the government. True and patriotic Americans probably don't have a chance of taking it back.

Great -another rotten Puerto Rican alderman, just like Maldonado. I suppose Moreno will blame the racist PO-leece for arresting his operative. Multiple times.

Face it boys, your political base is dissolving. Soon the yups will have had enough of your BS and throw you out of office.

This bullshit is becoming too commonplace!

Chicago Alderman Walter Burnett is also a beneficiary of a gubernatorial pardon which excused his role in an armed bank robbery.
Jim Edgar gave him a pass to placate Jesse White.

It is equal opportunity for the suburban pols too. In Niles, George Alpogianias was barred from serving as a Village Trustee after he was elected on account of his past criminal record. One pardon later, the same individual is look to relaunch his political career.
Governor Jello did the honors.

Pat Quinn disgusts me.

The current system of government we have is so powerful, and the number of informed and outraged voters is so few, that the only hope for a "revolution" to "take back our government" is to simply BE PATIENT and watch the whole system implode on its own, from the weight of its own inherent evil and stupidity. That time is coming in a very, very few short years from now.

When the system implodes upon itself, chaos and anarchy will temporarily reign, at which time people of good moral character, who also exercise their 2nd Amendment rights, will win in the end.

Be patient. There will come a time soon when corrupt idiots such as Quinn, and corrupt sociopaths such as Emanuel, will see their power slip from their fingers. No need for a revolution. Just wait until the whole system crumbles. It's actually crumbling right now, though at the moment, very slowly.

Have faith! God is on the side of the just, but we must wait until the appointed hour.

Totalitarianism didn't come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria . Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.
After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria . Women were raped, preteen to elderly. The press never wrote about this either. When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn't destroy, they burned. We called it The Burned Earth. Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses. Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized. Those who couldn't, paid the price. There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians. This is an eye witness account.
"It's true..those of us who sailed past the Statue of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity.

The author of this article lives in South Dakota and is very active in attempting to maintain our freedom. I encourage everybody to read this article and pass it along. I see so many parallels in this country, are we going to sit by and watch it happen? Spread the word; also contact your congressional reps; vote them out if they don’t do what they should. If you don’t want to be bothered, then you’re part of the problem! Google Kitty Werthmann and you will see articles and videos.
