Silence Speaks Volumes
- Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan brushed aside questions Wednesday about whether her father, powerful House Speaker Michael Madigan, has ever asked her to hire or give a raise to someone and also denied she misled campaign donors when raising money for a possible bid for governor.
The attorney general announced this week that she instead will seek a fourth term as the state's chief lawyer, saying Illinois “would not be well served” with a governor and House speaker from the same family. The declaration came amid scrutiny of Speaker Madigan's patronage demands of former Metra CEO Alex Clifford, who claims his downfall was the result of refusing to give into the hiring and raise requests.
It was under that spotlight that Lisa Madigan held a news conference on mortgage foreclosure relief at the James R. Thompson Center in Chicago. When reporters asked about her father or her political decision making, she cut off questions or did not directly answer them.
Still no word on how the state (and city) is served by having a mayor, county board boss and presidential adviser from the same family. Or aldercreatures begetting other aldercreatures for as far back as we can remember. Or aldrecreatures bequeathing their seats to their spawn.
But hey, Lisa refuses to answer a simple question in the most patronage-ridden cesspool of corruption it has been our misfortune to reside in. And she'll get a pass on it within a few weeks.

Funny how the Attorney General should be rooting out corruption and investigating all these corrupt "deals".
Instead, we get one that looks at consumer problems and other fluff issues while the state's real motto isn't "Land of Lincoln", it's more like Monte Hall's "Let's Make a Deal".
License Plates should say, "State of Steal - Let's Make a Deal"

Based on her refusal to answer these questions, as Chief Law Enforcement Officer of this State, she should immediately resign.

Lisa Madigan refused to answer if her father ever asked her to hire or promote someone in her office. She has also refused to investigate corruption and perjury in the granting of legislative scholarships ( if you can call it that), or investigate any government corruption for that matter. And, yet, the newspapers continue to endorse her for office. I sure hope the voters in this state decide not to reelect any Madigan to any office .
Speaking of politics, what did it cost the city of Chicago in police man hours to escort Michelle Obama and the two girls, that look like Treyvon,to the Beyoncé concert at the United center? Michelle said that she came to see some girls graduate from H.S. 9 She don't like "whitie" and never comes for a white school or event. She will use tax money for her personal agenda and order herseld lobster dinners that we could pay for.
if there were an Olympics for governmental corruption, the state of Illinois would take the silver, Cook County would take the bronze, and the City of Chicago would take the gold.....
