Apple-Pickers Plucked by Citizens
We suppose it's good that people are getting involved and assisting their fellow citizens. It isn't so good that police presence is so sketchy, scattered or non-existent that the wilding teens are under no pressure to cease their misbehavior:
- Five people have been charged after three separate iPhone robberies Saturday, two of which occurred at Oak Street Beach during the Air and Water Show, police said.
One robbery, which was thwarted by a Chicago Park District lifeguard, happened about 4:25 p.m. Saturday during the Air and Water Show. The victim, a 48-year-old Lyons man, had been robbed near Oak Street Beach in the 1000 block of North Lake Shore Drive, police said.
- The third theft was foiled by a valet from a North Rush Street restaurant who chased down the suspect after he'd snatched an iPhone 5 worth about $600 from a 39-year-old Morton Grove man about 12:50 p.m. on a sidewalk in the 0-100 block of East Superior Street, police said.
The story also misrepresents a theft as a robbery, in essence upgrading what Rahm and Garry want downgraded - which is amusing if you stop and think about it.

I happened to be one of the officers who locked up the offenders from one of the iphone robberies. These fucking shitbags rob and steal with impunity. We constantly lock up these wastes of oxygen and have their momma or auntie take a break from their goddamn section eight entitlement life to retrieve these assholes. They could give a fuck less (no surprise there) and dickhead keeps the antics up. Here's an idea for the mayor and super, make a call to whoever the fuck you have to and demand these little anti-christ jagoffs get housed so taxpayers can enjoy what the fuck they pay for. P.S. I live south but please staff the 16th district. They pay a shitload of taxes and are predominantly city workers who deserve more protection. I never post so my apologies for the rant.
Suburbanites don't know the rules, Never use your iPhone in a public place anywhere in the city of Chicago.
Don't wear decent jewelry or a nice watch, either.

Milwaukee Irish Fest this weekend was beautiful. Super clean, nice view of the lakefront, and most of all no fear when pulling out the iphone to make a call, take a picture, text or tweet.
I'll take that 90 minute ride over going down to our shitty lakefront anytime!!
Looking at the City's FOIA requests I observed that Don Moseley of Carol Marin's operation has made a FOIA request for crime reporting in the Michigan Avenue & Gold Coast areas.
I have no doubt that they are trying to show how Rahm and McStupid are under reporting crime in the 18th District.
We should do everything we can to help them out!
These "Apple Pickers" have a few things in common:
(1) their race and (2) their home addresses.... they usually come from far out South to come downtown and wreak havoc.
McFailure says these "youths" have every right to come downtown.Blah, blah, blah.
Apple needs to make their iPhones so that they can be blown up remotely from a computer. When dude steals your iphone you get to a computer, login and Kaboom!
That would slow the pace of these bastards.

There was a downgrade to the upgrade and the percentage of shitheads thinking of Apple Picking is down... press conference to follow.
The mayor insists on stealing taxpayer recources like police protection and give to the non tax paying citizens in the ghetto. Its just plain theft of services. As a result downtown is left virtually unguarded.

Let me guess. You're a victim of the Chicago Public School system. They never covered capitalization, punctuation or the use of possessive pronouns because they were too busy telling you that you're all winners even when you fail. Loser.
The CPD can arrest but need someone to sign a complaint. Usually the victims are too scared and many witnesses do not want to get involved.
Instead of a tracking app. They should have a self-destruct app. that can be remotely signaled.
Is there a problem if an ordinary citizen assists an offender tripping on a curb and then calls the police for an iphone theft? After all isn't it appropriate to help someone breaking an ankle first and then call for help?
