- When his wife decided not to pursue a domestic battery charge against him last month, a feisty-sounding Tio Hardiman — the former head of the anti-violence group CeaseFire Illinois — promised a “comeback.”
Here it is: He’s running for governor of Illinois.
“I plan to run a very positive campaign,” Hardiman told the Chicago Sun-Times Friday morning. “This is not a decision I made overnight. I always wanted to run. I was too busy trying to run CeaseFire.”
So who's backing Tio? Quinn of Daley? Who benefits from Tio drawing away the alleged domestic violence voter?

Illinois has such a bunch of bums running for Governor, why not invite Elliot Spitzer or even Anthony Weiner to come and run here.

But if I was Tio I'd check the election laws before wasting too much time, and other peoples money on that running mate thing. Female or otherwise. Unless our Constitution was amended when I was sleeping there's no 'running mate' in the Governor race. The Lt Governor is not on the same 'ticket' (Ballot) with Governor like with the President & Vice President of USA.
It's why Blago faced the insurrection led by Quinn and the eventual coup. Gov Elvis & Lt Gov Potato Head loathed each other.
Really, could he be any worse than the idiots we already have? It has gotten that bad.

You can only complain about the current serving politicians if you didn't vote for them. I hate to offend anyone but I have always said we have the dumbest voters in this city and state, you got what you voted for stop complaining. Wake up Illinois and Chicago.

If Tio gets in the entire State will be the next Detroit. Not because he's black but because he is a real POS that thinks he can do whatever he wants. He will drive people out and there will be nothing left but the downstate small towns. The thought of him is a very scary thought.

Bill Daley running for Governor makes no sense. He is a millionaire, he has been in extremely important positions in D.C., so why would he want to be Governor? Something is going on here behind the scenes.

It was pitch black in that alley but multiple witnesses said they didn't see a gun. Were these witnesses 5 feet from him, or did they stand over his body after he was shot? Funny how a baby gets shot and you can't get 5 witnesses, but for this crap, everyone in the neighborhood saw it and rioting ensued.
The first time was a mistrial, so obviously someone with common sense was on that jury.

Tio has the right mindset, and the political experience necessary to win in Illinois. He has already successfully made off with $1,000,000 in taxpayer money to Ceasefire, which has still disappeared and is unaccounted for. Way to go, Tio! Apparently following in the footsteps of Blago! With that kind of mindset, he and other notable swindlers/crooks, like Mr. & Mrs. Jesse Jr., we are guaranteed to keep the Democratic machine well lubed and running for a long time to come!
