Green Bay Favored by 10.5 (Bears Win?)
And we think that might be on the light side. The holes the Bears have to fill are just too many and too large. Barring a miracle, this one could be ugly.
UPDATE: And this is why we don't make a living predicting football games. Miracles do happen.
Besides, we took the 10.5 points on a few small wagers - purely in the interest of making the game interesting - and came away with a few more dolla....matchsticks....more matchsticks than we started the night with.

OT for everyone wondering what happened, ChicagoCop.com is working again on Department computers.
The Bears are an ultra great team; except, they sometimes make mistakes at the wrong time. But they usually manage to look good while doing bad.
I will be at the Rivers Casino getting the discount buffet for police on Monday nights!
This game looked a lot more interesting when the schedule was drawn up. The "experts" thought the Bears could be contenders.
But the defense is showing its age. Last in the NFL in sacks. No meaningful pass rush. First on depth chart was OK, but no depth.
Then the Lions, Ravens and Rams....sounds like a sinking season.
Packers are hard bit by the injury bug, too. Doesn't seem to matter. They just keep finding another.
And for the first time in many years, the Pack has a good running game. And has a big edge in the QB position.
Bears seem to play well coming off the bye week, on Monday night. But GB has too many weapons and is starting to hit on all cylinders.
Packers 35-20
It's gonna be an embarrassment. Dancing with the stars will have more scoring than the Bears will.
bears will pull an upset and beat the packers by a big margin.
Which is why I prefer reacting to things instead of predicting things.
not to mention that the bears have the worst record on Monday night football and on national tv.
I HATE THE PACKERS
The Bears know their mayor will be watching and rooting them on. That may be enough that they come from behind and kick A.
Discount Double Check will tear them up.
Scarface on cable at same time, take GB giving 10 1/2, Bears will never be a contender until Halas' give up ownership.
im releasing my Lock of the year tonight, take the Packers -10 to easily handle the Bears. Put all that special employment check on the Packers
I heard that they are sending our Crime Lab to Lambeau Field.
Vanecko sold the department a ton of yellow/red, inner/outter perimeter crime scene tape to cover the entire killing field.
Rahm decided that allowing them to wear uniforms with their names on them would save the City about a dollar and thirty cents in toe-tags after they get killed.
(Deep in my heart-of-hearts though, I would love to see them beat and embarrass the Pack)
go green bay the pack will be back
Da Bears....The Cubs of football.
I love being in the Northwoods of Wisconsin,Illinois sucks.
Obamacare architect and Rahm's brother loses it

Bring back the Chicago Blitz!
Bears have as much chance at making the super-bowl as I have at being a sergeant. GO PACKERS!
I heard Cutler went to Saturation North...
Lance Briggs also went to Saturation North...
Everybody relax, it's just a glitch in our championship roll out... Nothing to see here, move along move along
The Bears may not win that often, but they are always the nice guys. That is more important.
Regardless, the Bears need to dump Cutler and sign a pro quarterback. You know, a Tom Brady, Payton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, etc, etc, an honest-to-gawd NFL pro-caliber QB.
Don't give up hope, GB has not been very good this year.
You are in for a big surprise and a rude awakening,Bears will win!!!
O.T. Sergeant's Test Prep Companies
There are two companies in the business prepping officers for the upcoming sergeant's exam. Save your money. They are not offering anything new under the sun. If you are serious, save your money and study the materials on your town time. Or with a small group of committed people.
I hope they make another big sergeant's class soon. I know several people who are on the list and it would be great for them. They are good people with no clout, no juice, no family connections. Imagine working hard and then being on that list and to see other people skip over you via "merit". Or imagine others had inside help. It is heartbreaking indeed.
Called my book and placed 10 G on Pack layin 10 and a hook. Wish me well brothers and sisters!
I think the NFL keeps scheduling Da Bears in Prime Time just to embarrass them.
There's no way they don't know that historically Da Bears absolutely suck in front of a national audience. This includes Thanksgiving games against the Lions when they stunk even more than Da Bears -- those games were always a 'maybe'.
But on Monday Night Da Bears have to have the worst record ever of all the teams who've played more than a few games. Then having Da Bears against Green Bay and in Green Bay? And while Da Bears are basically rebuilding with a new staff and players??? That's malicious intent to harm and borders on cruel and unusual punishment.
Bears 31, Packers 24 :-)
(I wish)
the over is a lock

for anybody on the list, well wishes.....but, wait until you see the merit part of that
Go Packers!!!!!
To 9:24 : where have you been? The Pack is and has been back for quite a while. Won a SB a few years ago.
To 12:31 : Where do you propose the Bears just find a franchise QB? The good ones are under contract. Have to have the supporting talent. Best way is to draft and develop, but that is easier said than done.
Go Packers. Bears must live with their decision to sign a cry baby in Cutler. I hope they sign him again long term. Cellar dwellers for years to come!
As a packer fan, I'll say the sports fans of chicago/IL deserve a better football team(s).
But then again, chicago...and especially the rest of that state also deserve far better governance.
Drink up and enjoy the game. With obama in DC, we are all "chicagoans" these days. Cheers.
Off Topic - Tribune reports a federal jury awarded $1 million dollard to that fat pig druggie that died in custody because she refused medical care that would have disclosed she injested several packets of heroin. This is the fucking world we live in.
What are the odds of us getting a pension? Da bears
To 12:23:00
Ok Louie.
As usual, anytime Bears are on prime time, the commentary sucks, the play by play is biased and the idiot bobblehead gruden is rooting for the damn packers.
that's why I turn down the sound after a quarter and turn up my radio. There's a delay but it beats listening to people cheer for the opposing team when they're supposed to just call the game.
halftime, and because this game isn't going the way gruden wants, the whole halftime show is, guess what?
Still ends up being green bay highlights.
the play of the week will be McCowan's td pass to marshal while being swallowed in the pocket and what do we have to watch all halftime?
rogers shoulder rogers shoulder blah blah blah.
Way off topic. I just got home from a fundraiser at Home Run Inn on 31st. A good guy Sgt is taking 15 days for some BS, really an unfair rip over some BS. My point...the place was packed, old timers, newer guys, Brotherhood for the Fallen guys, retirees, a real cross section of the Dept both Units and districts and all ranks. I'm a retiree and it was HEARTENING to see the old school camaraderie and getting together for a good guy.
I read and hear a lot of negative stuff about the job, a lot of it deserved, some blown up a bit. All that aside, after the showing tonight I know that as always, you all still care about each other and will step up when needed.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: Chicago Police Officers are a special group.
Stay safe everybody.
Wow, Bears win!!! How many people lost money on thT game???!!!!
Called my book and placed 10 G on Pack layin 10 and a hook. Wish me well brothers and sisters!

I wish you well. Bears won outright. Need to borrow some lunch money? Need the phone number of Gamblers Anonymous? Need a place to stay or a good divorce lawyer?
I kept my money in my pocket and it is still there.
I'm watching the game at the Green airport...love to see the faces of those who lost HUGE MONEY ...

You should have made it clear you were directing your comments to the Packers.
Discount daaaaaaaa-ble crack!
Crunch, there goes your collar bone.
It's utterly disgustingl to me that any1 from The Chicagoland Area wood wish glad tidings to any1 but Da Bears while The Bears R involved in a football contest.
Road "W" against arguably the best rivalry in The NFL? C'mon The Bears R "Our" Football Team
Per Coach Gruden "Josh McCown wooda made Coach Halas proud w/his performance."
The Bears had rookie linebackers playing coupled w/a 2nd string QB and R coming back from Lambeau w/a win. The spread last I checked was b'tween 10 & 11 bridled w/Tressman's BALLS out call on 4th & inches
Nice
Ye of little faith. Not backing your home team. Shame on you.
Learn something from them - they didn't quit or give up.
went to wisconsin for the game took my son out
of school. Well worth it. Life is pretty good when i can afford to do this. We really need to concentrate on all the good things we are to. be grateful for instead of the negative.

Don't do anything stupid. It's only money. get em on the next game
Your 2nd string beat their 2nd string.BFD.I still have to work tonight.
My post didn't make it predicting the bears win, guess that wasn't intertaining enough,we'll they won and it's more intertaining reading the prediction of their demise!
The Bears got lucky cause they took
Aaron Rodgers out of the game by
injuring his throwing arm forcing
Mike McCarthy to send in his backup
quarterback who is an inexperienced
rookie who is not a good field general. Let's see what the big, bad
bears do against the Lions next week.

First, the Bears didn't injure Rodgers' throwing arm. It was his left collarbone and last I knew, he threw righty.
Secondly, the Bears were playing with their backup, McCown. Sorry but backup QB's are pretty important in a game as violent as football.
Thirdly, Seneca Wallace is not a rookie, but is 33 yrs old and was drafted by the Seahawks in 2003.
Do a little research before you attempt to comment about a subject you have no clue about.

First off, Rodgers injured his left shoulder...his non-throwing arm. Secondly, Seneca Wallace, Green Bay's backup QB, has been in the League since 2003. He may not have a ton of games played at QB, but he has played the position, even starting, in years past. He can also play WR. I'd hardly call him "inexperienced". Lastly, Detroit is coming here. If the Bears defense plays remotely better than they did in September, then the Bears will be ok.
Went to the game in Green Bay. Amazing to me how gracious Packers in Green Bay are. You know what was disgusting to me…. the savages that called themselves Bears fans yelling "fuck the packers" dropping all kinds of shit around families and true fans. Typical classes shit I expect from shitbirds in Chicago. Guess that shitbird moniker has grown to cover the vast majority of this liberal shit hole city.
