"Health Problems"
- Federal investigators seized computer equipment from former state Rep. Keith Farnham's district office in Elgin as part of a probe into child pornography, according to a federal search warrant released late Friday by the Illinois House.
Farnham, a three-term Elgin Democrat, abruptly resigned earlier this week, saying previously undisclosed health problems were behind his departure.
But Farnham, who has not been charged, had his offices in Springfield and Elgin searched on March 14th by the Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement division, which removed several pieces of equipment.
Upon conviction, we'd hope his fellow inmates also "remove[d] several pieces of [his] equipment."

Metra police: Berwyn woman trespassed on train, assaulted officer

Ashley Heather Edwards, of the 3800 block of South Wesley Avenue in Berwyn, is accused of breaking into a secure area of a Metra train on Friday and then twice grabbing and squeezing the genitals of a Metra police officer who tried to arrest her, causing the officer to be hospitalized.
“Something’s wrong with her,” said Cook County Judge Adam Bourgeois Jr., who initially ordered the 20-year-old held on $50,000 bail.
After a short recess, Bourgeois decided to instead release Edwards on an individual recognizance bond with electronic monitoring.
Edwards assaulted the officer on a parked train outside the Galewood station on Chicago’s Northwest Side at about 3:40 p.m. Friday. The officer tried to remove Edwards after crew members said she entered the train’s “engine compartment” without permission.
...the officer caught her and attempted to place her under arrest. At that point, police and prosecutors said, Edwards grabbed the officer’s penis and squeezed it to inflict pain, while also kicking and punching and trying to pull away.
The officer used pepper spray to restrain her...but while exiting the train in the 2000 block of North Narragansett Avenue and walking toward the police cruiser, prosecutors said Edwards again grabbed and squeezed the officer’s genitals.
The Metra policeman was taken by ambulance to West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, where he was treated and released...
Edwards...faces a felony charge of aggravated battery to a peace officer, along with misdemeanor counts of resisting a police officer and criminal trespass to state land.
