Daley Crony Corruption?
- Former Mayor Richard M. Daley’s deputy chief of staff admitted in court Tuesday that he cashed more than 150 large charity checks at a Chinatown restaurant then kept part of the money for himself.
Gene Lee — a 65-year-old Chinatown community leader who for years was an aide to Daley — misused donations from major Chicago-area businesses including Comcast and McDonald’s, that were meant to be spent on Chinatown’s annual summer fair, he admitted.
Pleading guilty to embezzlement and tax fraud, a contrite Lee repeated the phrase “Yes, your honor” dozens of time as he indicated to Judge John Darrah that he understood his rights and acknowledged that he cashed 161 charity checks worth a total of $132,000 at the unnamed restaurant.
We can hardly believe that anyone associated with the former mayor would have anything to do with shady accounting practices. Especially in light of how scrupulously his own spouse ran her charity.

When Daley and the rest of his cabal meet the Almighty it will be a day of celebration. The same can be said of every politician in Illinois when the eventful day occurs.
I cannot believe he tried to deprive local, state and federal government of it's just taxes.

What did HE agree to as HIS part of the agreement?

Did the media report this when this THIEF got arrested or indicted? Are we hearing about this for the first time, or did i miss it when i was previously sick from hearing other stories of corruption in this place known as a "city" (for lack of better term)

They say you can look at your friends and you can see who you are. Daley has nothing but criminals, with most bring now convicted around him.
If this happened in China, they'd execute him.
Corruption is currently widespread in China.
However China is cracking down and the corrupt business leaders there are seeking places like the "Sanctuary City" to launder their money.
In places like real estate.
If you're a foreigner and have a million or so stashed away Obama will let you jump to the front of the USA visa line as an investor class.
Moral, ethics, charterer doesn't matter. Just look at all that money they have.
Bottom line is that USA policies and more so for the city of Chicago we are attracting the criminal element here because it's about nothing but money.
Guys like Rahm will promote with great pride the Sanctuary City ivy-league academic marking line.
Nevertheless if the same highly regarded, well educated, honorable and tech savvy academics that are placed upon the alter of media propaganda should challenges just one of Rahm's initiatives it is then and only then that we should refer to these Mensa intellectuals as "Propellar Heads"
Question:
If the corporations own the politicians no matter which side they are on via campaign donations then what does it mean for the USA when a corporation is majority controlled by a foreign country. When the property taxes being collected here from foreign owned property is more than the property taxes from the residents here.
It means we've been sold out.
And by the way, look how these immigrants have voted in the past in their homelands and the government they got as a result.

Everything done, and everyone involved in what was done, for whatever length of time it was done for, was done without my knowledge.

He WAS a nice guy in high school but as soon as you get around politics and money everything changes.
Gene Lee was the "godfather" of Chinatown and a friend of former Alderman Fred Roti.
Mr. Lee will request to serve his time in Alabama so he can keep his political connections alive. He will later do community service with Operation Push.
