This Kind of Sums it Up

So, when we have a "good" weekend with low shot/kill #s, it's because of his ingenious and innovative strategies.

When we have the more common "bad" weekends with high shot/killed #s, it's the law's fault.

Hmm. Weren't the laws the same during the "good" weekends?
Exactly.

What "good weekend" was that?

Easier to enforce heavy sentences on someone w/no priors who was unable for a few months to renew twenty-thirty years of clean FOID due to life emergency than it is to send off some eight-times-down armed robber, drugs, cars, theft >$100,000. THESE are the catch-and-release crowd -- the really bad ones.

"Operation Exile," all those frightening bright-red Federal billboards in what they perceived to be "bad areas," i.e. working people trying to survive, were always a crock. The hapless and unlucky stay, the hardheads go in and out the revolving door laughing their a__ off. Fuckers'd be in Utah desert or someplace by now if the Feds had ever meant it.

Instead AGUS is HANDING OUT MILITARY WEAPONS TO KNOWN KILLERS-FOR-PROFIT, then turning around, covering his eyes, then playing "Let's see if we can find the guns again." Complete insanity.

I mean people who could have been Class X, and X, and X-squared, and gone even on state charges, runnin wild again and again because of idiot "new domestic unit" CCSA, and the Puppy Dog Sheriff who doesn't even have a comb, let alone a duty belt, and terrifying, adjudicated "clinically insane" judges like Cynthia Brim.

Point being -- USE WHAT YOU GOT.

Don't look at "mandatory sentencing" for one paperwork "offense." Look at common sense after 5-10-15 or more violent acts, like we see every day.

"Careful what you ask for, YOU just might get it."

The laws are like the constitution, they are very flexible and living breathing things. For instance, the laws under Obama and Holder are not the same laws under say Bush or Regan, even though the words have not changed

It's that kind of talk that's gonna get 'free speech' zones set up for you to go stand in so that no-one can hear or see you

This is a war zone. Look at all the murders, wounded and raped.

That's another reason why this city is going into the gutter.

You should watch this idiot at one of his weekly meetings. He stands in front of 300 people mostly police brass, some politicians, some men of the cloth, and will challenge the audience with one of his bright ideas. While the audience listens he asks "am I right or what does anyone think I am wrong" Its like watching a group of statues who have that blank look while a hamster runs through their heads knowing this guy is a Moron!!! If you look hard enough you may find a select few who shake their heads up and down like they are jumping with a pogo stick. These are truely the sad ones. Most never made made an arrest and are scared to work the streets but they are masters of YES speak!

Very simple. The Supt. lies, and the Mayor always lies. Get rid of them both! When are people going to get tired about being lied to everyday by these so called leaders? I find it amazing that these people can lie everyday with no recourse. I have no respect for any Cook County so called leader. If we could only get rid of them all and start over.

Laws may mean different things to different people, and judges may interpret the same law in many different ways. Many times laws don't mean what they say, or say what they mean. It is all relevant and dependent on the meaning of "is", as one of our great former presidents said.

O/T

Buh-bye tax revenue that funds our jobs and our pensions, city services and our schools.

April 15--In a twist on economic globalization less obvious than moving factories overseas, a small but growing number of corporations have relocated headquarters to Europe to escape the 35 percent tax on U.S. profits, the highest in the developing world.

Aon Corp., one of Chicago's most prominent businesses, shifted its corporate home to London in 2012. Last month, Deerfield-based Horizon Pharma Inc. said it would move its headquarters to Ireland as part of a merger.

But these types of tax deals may be put to the test.

Walgreen Co., the nation's largest drugstore chain, is under pressure from some shareholders to move its headquarters to Europe, where it owns nearly half of Swiss-based pharmacy giant Alliance Boots.

Deerfield-based Walgreen has called Illinois home for all its 113 years.

http://insurancenewsnet.com/oarticle/2014/04/15/walgreen-pressured-to-move-headquarters-to-europe-a-490167.html#.U01RRaKVMdU

And what do you suppose will happen with Motorola Mobility once the sale of it to China is finalized?

More tax breaks for the so-called job creators coming soon.

Meanwhile, as Rahm rolls out his increases in property taxes as though the middle class has a bottomless pit filled with cash...

[...]For rent and utilities to be considered affordable, they are supposed to take up no more than 30 percent of a household’s income. But that goal is increasingly unattainable for middle-income families as a tightening market pushes up rents ever faster, outrunning modest rises in pay.

[...]..In Chicago, rent as a percentage of income has risen to 31 percent, from a historical average of 21 percent. In New Orleans, it has more than doubled, to 35 percent from 14 percent. Zillow calculated the historical average using data from 1985 to 2000..

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/15/business/more-renters-find-30-affordability-ratio-unattainable.html?hpw&rref=business

And we'd like to point out, what year is this again? The above study is dated 2000. It is now 2014. Anyone believe that things got better, lower rents than in 2000? <>

Thought so.

Throw the career politicians out of office or embrace your indentured servitude.
