Another $10 Million Gone

  • As he prepared to speak alongside gubernatorial challenger Bruce Rauner on Thursday, Gov. Pat Quinn announced $10 million in additional spending for Chicago Public Schools’ Safe Passage program, allowing for 600 more hires of yellow-vested workers around 27 more schools later this fall.

The added millions will bring annual spending on the program to more than $26 million; the money pays community members to usher CPS children along routes leading to 133 elementary and high schools.

Quinn, under fire for his now-defunct Neighborhood Recovery Initiative, declined to comment on the timing of the extra money coming from the cash-strapped state.
Pay no attention to that money behind the curtain! No, you can't use it for the pension funds. That would deny Quinn the pleasure of purchasing votes with it.

Ten Million Dollars of OUR money is being spent to buy votes from people that would have voted for him anyway.

$10,000,000.00.
What could you do with $10MM?
That is how many potholes?
How many new police on the streets?

Quin did this so later he can say Illinois added jobs. Not lost jobs.

But the pay for added jobs, down to minimum wage.

Next he will pay the children to attend.

Oh it's so-so wonderful what they are doing FOR THE CHILDREN!

Hope everyone realizes that the tax increases, cuts, and layoffs will come AFTER the votes are counted.

We're broke or perhaps all the money is hidden inside a TIF-fund-like account who knows?

Nevertheless, there is no increase in the size of the Illinois work force, the only number that really matters when talking about creating jobs. So they're stuck, no we're going to get stuck with more taxes.

No two ways about it.

How much will Amnesty for Illegal Aliens cost ? Where will the funds be redistributed from ?

On Wednesday, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) met with more than 50 pro-amnesty leaders in Chicago to prepare for President Barack Obama's executive amnesty that could give work permits to five million illegal immigrants.

Gutierrez said that Chicago "voices have been among the loudest calling for immigration reform" and will "be a leader when it comes to implementing administrative action."

10,000,000/600 = 16,666
16,666/180 school days = $92/day
$92/1.156 (Fica) = $80 + tax/day
for a part-time job?

Truly this is vote buying at best!

You read that about Quinn and you still are thinking he is "good for your pension", better turn yourself in to a drug recovery program real quick.

He is just "taking care of himself" to win today's election. Whatever it takes to lock in the "Gibs me dat, freesh#t" vote.

Your pensions? Let someone else down the road worry about that.

Actions speak louder than words. Instead of believing the negative ads against Rauner - look at the actions taken by Quinn.

When are some of you going to wake up?

The very fact that we need Safe Passage, let alone $10 MIL worth, is a defacto admission WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH POLICE!

Hey, Rahmbo-jagoff. How about coughing up some of that $1.7 BIL you have stashed in the TIF funds for something we really need?

Oh that's right. Hiring more police wouldn't generate kickbacks from developers and construction firms.

Call then next case. Not a cop.

We can't get a DNA work up on less than 4 months, but we can spend millions so people can walk there kids to school. Something they should be doing just because they are a parent.

Keep on with the great ideas for reducing crime, ask the media or the politicians how it should be accomplished but never ask a police officer who actually works the street. Ask their political apointee supervisors, they are the real experts.

Okay, whatta we got here???

-- 1) Note that Gov Potato-Head never answered the goddamn question!

So kiddies, do we have $10 Million sitting around just waiting to be SPENT? I seriously doubt it, as then we wouldn't have hundreds of Contractors & Vendors all waiting to be f--king PAID for past work performed and/or materials supplied to this bankrupt f--king state! Oh, yeah, almost forgot..sorry..or put towards that PENSION thingy that's OWED Millions & Millions!!

-- 2) 'Investment'? I don't think so Gov Dimwit, not even close, it's fucking SPENDING.

I don't know what scum sucking politician first used the word *investment* when speaking of *SPENDING* or of RAISING TAXES, but I'll bet the farm it was a cocksucking democrat, and I'm sick and fucking tired of hearing that word. It's total and complete BULLSHIT!! And what's frying my ass right now is that everyone goddamn KNOWS it's Bullshit!

Now if -- *IF* -- the GOP had any balls they'd call the fucker(s) on it!--Don't say *Investment*, say what it really is, it's *SPENDING* you slimy shysters. But no, they don't, it wouldn't *be nice*, yeah, and 'cause their wives have their Gonads in a jar on the mantel!

And the MSM..yeah...they too should've called the lying pricks on it on day one of saying *investment*. But oh no, not them, they didn't--and couldn't, 'cause they were down on their knees blowing the f--king democrat!

Politicians, Grrrrrrrr....
[Sorry for the RANT but I've had it the lying scheming fucks and all the spineless weasels.]

What happens when one of those retired cops has to use their weapons? They are not the police anymore. They are civilians. No FOP representation. No indemnification by City of Chicago. No City paid or FOP paid lawyer. You get sued, you are on your own.

Who owns the liability for those concealed carry retired cops?

No way will I take a low pay part time City job and carry a weapon and I am not guaranteed legal protection from The People's Law Office or Loevy and Loevy.
