Shots Fired - No Hits
- A 32-year-old man was shot to death and a 21-year-old man was wounded in a shooting outside Bodi, a nightclub on the Near North Side.
The dead man was identified as Martrell Ross, 32, of the 300 block of South Mozart Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Records show that since 1999, Ross has been arrested multiple times for drug offenses.
Police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said the incident also involved a police shooting. About 3:50 a.m., officers were on patrol in the 800 block of North Orleans Street when they heard gunfire and saw a subject running from that location.
“The officer engaged the subject and, in fear for their lives, one officer discharged his duty weapon at the subject,’’ Sedevic said. “The subject fled and made good his escape.’’
This is the third or fourth downtown nightclub shooting this summer. You know what that means - time to ban nightclubs!

That night club has been nothing but problems. It is an African American club, and it's untouchable.
Shut down gang banger clubs. Shitheads don't deserve to see the sky above downtown anyway. They live off of the link, don't pay shit for bills or taxes, then want to portray the rapper life and buy bottles of booze and be tough when they are all 510 150lbs, no wonder why they run to the gun instead of fighting.

RJD died years ago. His famous order, "Shoot to kill and shoot to maim" should be re-instated as General Order #1.
That would stop all wildings in its tracks - literally.
Crime would go down because "the police aren't here to create disorder, they are here to preserve disorder."

worked in 018 for a while and ill make this observation. on the weekends the midlevel and upper level players come downtown to party. especially on sundays these clubs open up to thug night. we have told these places doing it that your one wrong look or one disrespecting moment away from having your club shot up.

This club has gone though the same process that almost all clubs do. It starts legit and tries to attract all of the so-call 'elite' of the city. They print money for a few years, and when there's somewhere new and fresh to hang out, business starts to slip. That's when they start using new promoters for the club gasping for that last breath of air to save the club's life. Hey, a gangbanger's money is green too. The trouble with this club isn't that it promotes to the black community, it's that it promotes to the worst segment of the black community.

My guess would be to bribe the alderman with more money then the owner does!
I herd VIP's is full of guns. Some are pretty nice, lots of 38's, and a few 45's.
