Second Arrest in Retiree Slaying
- A 16-year-old Indiana boy was ordered held without bond Wednesday for his alleged role in the murder of an elderly retired Chicago Police sergeant.
While his mother sat next to him, Jeremy Mendez admitted to detectives that he forced himself into 73-year-old Elmer Brown’s home the night of the incident last spring, Cook County prosecutors said.
Jesse Kazmierski, of Hammond, Ind., was charged with the deadly home invasion earlier this month. He also is being held without bond and is awaiting trial at Cook County Jail.
And more news:
- Chicago Police officials said Wednesday they are waiting to extradite the third suspect from Indiana.
Hopefully, we find out what gave these savages the info on a safe and a quantity of money that led to the home invasion and murder.
