Nothing to See Here

  • The Ebola crisis in the U.S. took another alarming turn Wednesday with word that a second Dallas nurse caught the disease from a patient and flew across the Midwest aboard an airliner the day before she fell ill, even though government guidelines should have kept her off the plane.

Amid growing concern, President Barack Obama canceled a campaign trip to address the outbreak.

Though it was not clear how the nurse contracted the virus, the case represented just the latest instance in which the disease that has ravaged one of the poorest corners of the earth — West Africa — also managed to find weak spots in one of the world’s most advanced medical systems.
These people are supposed to be under quarantine and isolated for 21 days minimum, yet here's one flying across the country. But everything is just great!

That nurse contacted the CDC and asked if she could fly, telling them she had a low-grade fever. Because her fever didn't yet reach some arbitrary threshold, they told her she was permitted to fly.
And these are the people we are trusting to keep us safe from an ebola epidemic in our own country.
Even I can devise a plan where those who treat ebola patients MUST be on a mandatory 21 day quarantine. The government can pay their salaries for 21 days, if need be. It's BILLIONS of dollars cheaper than an epidemic.

Yeah don't worry the disease it's only passed when you touch bodily fluids.

So one-hundred and something people on that plane must of had their hands all over her...right?

And the CDC has protocols in place..except none of the nurses know anything about them and just winged it while the CDC told us EVERY hospital in the US was ready.

Don't let a crisis go to waste tho right Rahm?

Because the reason is that you can do things that you normally would not be able to get away with.

Things like f**k all the victims and their families so the crisis can be politicize

The credibility of government is now hanging by a thread.

It would of been so easy to ban flights from the hot zones, yeah?

Look!

http://www.mohsw.gov.lr/documents/SITRep%20148%20Oct%2010th,%202014.pdf

Liberia is only asking for 80,000 body bags and over 1,000,000 ppe hazmat suits

208 healthcare workers stricken with 95 dead. (why do they keep touching people and they must not be washing their hands either thereby violating CDC protocols eh?)

Dallas will declared a state of emergency at around 2 pm tomorrow so there's your martial law

What do you think?

Chicago is one plane load of Ebola slobber away from a similar fate.

Hope someone here has a plan.

But they were not isolated or under quarantine because they were wearing protective suits and were not supposed to be able to get the virus, according to the CDC. Folks, where there is any leadership at all, we have the blind leading the blind on this epidemic. We have an Ebola Czar, but she must be in hiding. Like everyone else she is a political appointee, appointed for her PC views. All decisions come out of the white house and are based on politics and an election, not on good medical science. I notice that Jesse Jackson and the Duncan fambly have shut the f__k up around now.

Not even the decency to say "Thank You" to a hospital that closed off an entire 24-bed ICU just for one guy who concealed his unprotected, hands-on contact with a dying Ebola case, and didn't belong here in the first place -- the legal systems of two countries were after him when he died -- and set 50 people to caring for him, at least two of whom have now contracted a disease that runs at 70% mortality in Africa -- all for free, I take it.

Is there anything else anyone needs? Anything at all? Just stroll across the border and demand it. The United States Of America exists merely to serve.

Yes, sir. Right this way. May I take your coat and hat, sir?

Increasingly seeing footage of doctors blowing up on live TV, and hearing radio reports with a nurse shouting "THEY SHOULDN'T BE LET IN HERE! THEY'RE CONTAMINATING THE WHOLE COUNTRY!"

Government sources show that (legal, documented) travel to and from the entire continent of Africa totals only about 410,000 people per year -- 1% of total international air traffic. The world will not stop turning if travel from the affected countries there is cut off -- other nations have stopped flying there, and we should do the same. Any important business can still be transacted by telephone, e-mail, teleconferencing.

Some countries will quarantine a dog for six months after arrival. Customs asks you if you're bringing in any weird meat or funny fruit -- while our government pays to import, disperse, and house trainloads of diseased illegal aliens among us. (Enterovirus -- which is not the sniffles, but is in the polio family of viruses -- drug-resistant TB, Hepatitis C, scabies, lice, VD, you name it, it's all good.)

Mayor Rahm I. Emanuel has much to be proud of. While he pees away zillions on "skate ribbons" and "streetscapes," French clowns on fifty-foot stilts and nuts in kayaks towing smoldering houses down the river, "Sanctuary City" Chicago is America's No. 1 bedbug city, and also has just been named America's No. 1 rat city. This is also a mere coincidence, I'm sure. Nothing to do with hop-right-in plastic trash containers with holes gnawed in them (every sanitation text for the last 100 years says "use metal containers with tight-fitting lids",) or with garbage pickers dragging in filthy old mattresses for their cousin who just waded across...

Anyway, Ebola is increasing exponentially, true to predictions. WHO says that 5,000 to 10,000 NEW EBOLA CASES PER WEEK are expected.

http://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/10000-ebola-cases-week-26179330

The CDC predicts 550,000 to 1,500,000 new cases by January.

This is not "the Ebola scare." It's Ebola.

How many of our 3,000 service members who have been sent into this plague zone will die? It's not like they can take cover or shoot back. God help them.

We can't fix the whole Third World -- India builds nuclear missiles and space satellites while 50% of its population still craps in the street --

Come here from a place with cardboard shacks, mud streets and no sewers or running water, oxcarts with salvaged car wheels creaking past, and demand and demand and demand instant service, bangin on the little silver bell on the counter. Liberia needs everything -- from someone else. Masks, gloves, thousands and thousands of body bags, sprayers, boots -- here's the whole shopping list.

http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/16/world/africa/ebola-liberia-overwhelmed/index.html

They had a savage 19-year civil war there, and warlords looting the treasury aren't any help. This is all someone else's fault, so others must take up the slack.

"This paper explains correlations between humanitarian emergencies and political economies of 'failing states' in Liberia and Sierra Leone. In both, Cold War era rulers acquired personal power through their influence over economic exchange...This creates opportunities for enterprising rivals and regional strongmen to assert their own control. The consequence is nearly complete institutional collapse of states and open warfare to control the alternative economic bases of political power. Communities with resources become targets of struggle amongst rival strongmen. This struggle leads to rapid,
widespread impoverishment. Warfare, combined with the loss of local control over resources, creates massive refugee flows, which further destabilize neighbouring communities. Liberia, for example, lost up to 90 per cent of the civilian population of rural areas in the early 1990s, straining resources in neighbouring states and nearly destroying Liberia's economic and occupational mainstays. The two cases also point to the contagion of conflict and humanitarian emergencies..."

...and now this. Q.E.D. -- "and thus it is demonstrated."

This is bullshit.

The CDC doesn't have a f--king clue of what to do about Ebola and it's director, that asshole Dr. Tom Frieden, is an incompetent buffoon. And I will bet the rent that he wasn't chosen by Obama for his medical qualifications butfor his bona-fides as a cock-sucking 'progressive'. As such, I'll also bet that like all of these left-wing moonbat 'health professionals' the jagoff sees 'Global Warming' and 'Gun Violence' as the major health threats in the world today -- the 'doctor' Obama nominated for Surgeon General, on 'dr' Vivek H. Murthy, is being held up in the senate by the GOP because he's a gun-grabbing moonbat.

But I digress -- what's criminal about the 'current outbreak' is that it's not like Ebola is some new disease, we've known about it since 1976, yes, that's right 1976, 38 years ago! That's when the first known Ebola outbreak occurred in the Southern Sudan and the CDC was, or should have been, working to find out every little f--king thing about it. Like say, oh...the Correct goddamn Protocols needed to prevent: The Deadliest Disease Known To Man From Spreading!!

But nope, apparently they were too busy working on other 'stuff', and it's not like they or the NIH (National Institutes of Health) were starved for funding, no: So Do Not Believe the crap you may hear in the MSM which the demonRATS are pushing, it's all lies. Just under President George W. Bush the budget for the NIH was increased 60% from the Clinton years and Obama and the Democrats it was CUT it .07%. That's not much but he and the dems did cut research funds.

In any case here's just some of the things that the CDC and NIH has recently done and spent on research: ......
--- $170,000 on Quail Sex. (the birds you hunt)
--- $295,000 on Ant colonies (yeah, ants)
--- $350,000 on Golf (not a joke)
--- $540,000 on Ass-Crack ('plumbers crack')
--- $1,500,000 on Fat Lesbians (this was in the news a while back)
--- $10,000,000 on Pakistani Sesame Street (yep, the kids tv program)
--- $90,000,000 on Chines Hookers (studying not buying)
You'll note that no disease is in there, certainly NOT Ebola. And yet these assholes are supposed to keep us alive?

Sorry, I don't think so. We're effing doomed.

Liberia begs for help -- while its press prints accusations that "Ebola and AIDS are bio weapons being tested on Africans. Other reports have linked the Ebola virus outbreak to an attempt to reduce Africa’s population" and blames UN vaccination campaigns, Doctors Without Borders, and Bill Gates for deliberately spreading the disease.

http://www.liberianobserver.com/security/ebola-aids-manufactured-western-pharmaceuticals-us-dod

http://www.liberianobserver.com/commentaries/ebola-breakout-coincided-un-vaccine-campaigns

Did you know that we have "agents" going around Liberia poisoning wells, and people "disguised as nurses" injecting people with "vaccine" that is actually formaldehyde?

"Communities are now reportedly chasing vaccine peddlers out of their communities...Families suspect an organ trafficking operation is capitalizing on the outbreak of the Ebola virus in Liberia."

One interesting thing in that article is that back then the good Dr had No Problem quarantining people sick with the flu in NYC. Even violating their rights in the process: “He doesn’t hesitate to use public health policy to kind of step all over civil liberties. As reported by Kass in his Wed column, the NBC medical editor Dr. Nancy Snyderman was in self imposed quarantine after being exposed to an EBOLA patient while on assignment. She put on a disguise and left her house to go get some of her favorite SOUP! She is now under MANDATORY quarantine because this medical professional does'nt even follow the rules and put others at risk.

Why am I recapping the Kass article here? Because it shows that if even "medical professionals" are unable to respect the disease, then there truly is reason to be concerned. All of the news media's are saying that fear and panic is not justified because it can only be spread through body fluids and is therefore reasonably safe for everyday people to think they will not be exposed. They down play the danger.
My wife, who is a medical professional in a hospital, quits the day an ebola patient walks through those doors. She knows the danger involved. The virus can stay ALIVE for up to a week on any surface. Sneeze on something, it's there. Got sweat on your arms or hands and touch a surface?:It's now there.
The danger is real and the CDC is doing a coverup as to how it can be transmitted, solely to "calm" the nation.
Buy alcohol wipes and make them part of what you bring on the job each day.
Remember in the academy where they would tell you that's its the only job where you should wash your hands before you use a bathroom? It's true. Be safe.

Do not worry , it's under control , our borders are secure from sick , drug , gun running illegal immigrants , no death panels , taxes will not go up. Oops forgot I canceled that 2% cut in social security , Banghazi , goofy video caused the uprising and the citizens were carrying our wounded ambassador to a hospital , health insurance will cost you $2500.00 less a year and yes you can keep your doctor ,
You cannot trust the police . Feel better now .
16,000,000 more people on food stamps ,
Send troops to a country with an Ebola epidemic ,
No we should not feel safe . Why are hospital help no wearing hazmat suits .what happened , veterans starving , dieting before receiving medical treatment , illegals being housed ,fed in military facilities .

Damn. Last weak, Jimmy and Danny had the same symptoms after each downed a Crave Case® of Thirty Jalapeno Cheese Sliders and four liters of Mountain Dew. After the explosive diarrhea subsided, the DSS closed the women's locker room and called for a paper car.

Don't blame the nurse. She put her life on the line and now it is.

If the CDC were held to the standard in cook county courts, the CDC committed malpractice. The nurse was confused and scared. Nursing training instructs that when you are unsure, contact the authority. She did exactly that.

You may question her common sense, but she was probably in denial. If you thought there was a possibility that you caught a disease with a 70% death rate, I don't think you would think right either. I think you should direct your anger at the person who lied and knew they had ebola and still illegally entered this country. Don't bust the nurses chops.

Obama was just on the news (interrupting my television show, thank you) saying how stopping incoming flights would not effect Ebola transmissions because Ebola is not an airborne illness! Excuse me while they refill my kool-aid because He, the president of the the free world, the highest held office, Dedicated to protecting all of us wouldn't lie to us :)) right?

She shouldn't have flown to Cleveland in the first place. Those who initially treated the Ebola patient were supposed to be on a 21 day quarantine. Especially since they didn't follow proper isolation/decontamination procedures in the initial stage of his treatment.

I never fly to Cleveland. I don't like Cleveland. And I will not fly until all this shit is over. No place I need to go that badly.

The sad reality is..we have a major "world class" hospital right here in Chicago..that has been fighting a bedbug infestation problem for months..and can't even get it under control!

But hey..look at us..we are a world-class "sanctuary city"..whoo-hoo!

No mention of this public health crisis in the news..why?

If we don't seal our borders now..we are so fucked in the near future!

Can't even deal with bedbugs..but we've got the world's deadliest Ebola virus completely contained and under control!

Jesus God.

Yeah, less protection = more risk.

Idiot.

"He went on to say that implementing a travel ban would be counter productive."

Obama said today that "he would not object to a travel ban if it were necessary for the safety of Americans, but that the 'experts' were telling him differently."

The CDC line is that if you shut the door, they'll just go around to the side and climb in the window anyway, so why bother.

Answer -- Travel ban -- with a warning that infected foreign nationals who ignore the ban and enter the U.S. illegally WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO HOSPITALS HERE. Nor will they be deported due to the vast expense of doing so in the necessary biocontainment mode. Euthanasia and immediate cremation. Public health emergency.

Appoint Ezekiel "Death Panel" Emanuel as the "Ebola Czar" they're talking about. That should do it.

Canada wouldn't let Martha Stewart in merely because of a nonviolent felony (tax evasion) on her record. We're talking about Ebola here.

In Monrovia, the "treatment centers" are routinely refusing entry to their own citizens and letting them die in the street outside. Our resources are not unlimited either -- not for something like this.

Answer -- Travel ban, with a warning that infected foreign nationals who enter the U.S. illegally WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO HOSPITALS. Nor will they be deported, due to the vast expense of the necessary biocontainment method, and what would become the simple unavailability of both the equipment and enough sanitized aircraft as the illegals began to accumulate here. We can't have the whole fleet tied up at the ramps, having the seats torn out and being soaked with Clorox every day.

Euthanasia and immediate cremation. Public health emergency...

There are lots of places to house them, each one can be its own voting precinct. And who is going to foot the bill for all this. There will be an Ebola industry and Rahm and his pals will make $BILLIONS. It will be never let a crisis go to waste to the extremous.

It may even be how Rahm plans to solve the Pension Crisis; he is going to kill all of us off.

The same may happen with Ebola.

When that happens we Duck Tape them in a Tyvek suit real tight and hold them for 21 days.

Sounds like we need a new CDC head. Let Frieden go to Liberia and treat Ebola patients without using any protective gear, as he says he'd like to do.

After all, "less is more," right, Tom? One less of you, anyway.

It was nice knowing you. Enjoy the spirit world.

LAWYER TO SAVE US -- Obama To Appoint Ron Klain As Ebola Czar

Posted: 10/17/2014 10:19 am EDT

"President Barack Obama will appoint Ron Klain, a lawyer who has served as chief of staff to both Vice Presidents Joe Biden and Al Gore, as the Ebola czar, CNN and CNBC report."

Snippets from here and there as this develops...

"Ron Klain was general counsel for the Gore-Lieberman Recount Committee in 2000 and served as counsel to Democrats in the Florida Legislature during redistricting litigation in the 2001-02 cycle."

"Klain left the White House in 2011 to become president of Case Holdings."

"Even the most jaded legal beagles will find it tough not to be a bit impressed by Ron Klain’s resume. At Harvard Law, he won the Sears Prize for highest GPA in the first year. He clerked for Justice White. He served as Al Gore’s chief of staff, associate counsel to President Clinton and was the GC for Gore during his 2000 Florida recount challenge."

http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2007/01/22/law-blog-lawyer-of-the-day-ron-klain/

Good to have someone with a solid medical background who understands infectious disease and also national security issues.

First on CNN: Obama will name Ron Klain as Ebola Czar

updated 10:49 AM EDT, Fri October 17, 2014

"Washington (CNN) -- President Barack Obama will appoint Ron Klain his "Ebola czar," knowledgeable sources tell CNN.

The president on Thursday signaled his openness to the idea to have one individual coordinating the entire federal response to any threat of an outbreak in the United States.

"Klain is highly regarded at the White House as a good manager...Klain doesn't have a health care background [let alone any medical education -- Ed.]...but the job is regarded as a managerial challenge."

http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/17/politics/ebola-czar-ron-klain/index.html

"Manager." See what I mean?

I showed the mask I had gotten from the department prior to this. The nurse said it was a great dust mask, used for sanding etc, but it did not meet standards for this problem.
She said we should have full cantainment suits not just aprons.

has a company that makes the stuff, we just might be protected.

OMG...

Is this is the beginning of the Apocalypse? Never mind nuclear war this is what can drag us back to the Stone Age.

Our "president" is about to send National Guard troops to the infected areas. To do what?

All through my long career I shared squad cars and went down dark alleys up project stairs with fellow cops who were National Guardsmen. They were great cops and skilled soldiers with all variety of military occupations. Thank-you all for your service.

But if they get sent to an Ebola Hot Zone they will be out of as Green Petri Dishes.

ISIS is watching this and will want to use Obama’s plan as biological warfare against the United States. Their goal is to destroy us by any means, kill us, bankrupt us and drag us and the rest of the world back to the 7th Century. Will we bring these soldiers back once infected? Can you imagine the effect on their families even if "cured".

Our "president" is playing right into their hands if he send troops to handle people infected with Ebola. ISIS will take full advantage of this.

What is the first thing that our troops will do when they land?

Put out the HELP WANTED SIGN.

They will hire local drivers, fuelers, cleaners, ditch diggers, translators. ISIS will sneak in infected people for these jobs as martyrs.

Stay Safe. Our "president' again is playing right into their hands.

Kill every stray you see but what about the vermin?

Especially mosquitoes?

What does Obama's Ebola czar has to say about THIS?

We warned you people about these Chicago based m/fers were going to be bad for this nation.

America creamed it's panties because of this false-flagging, smooth talking poot-butt was pushed out of Chicago by Daley like a turd because Daley was scared he was being put up to run for mayor.
