How Do You Educate the Ignorant?

The NFL is increasingly becoming irrelevant:
  • The St. Louis Police Officers Association was not happy that members of the St. Louis Rams came out for Sunday's game in a hands up "don't shoot" gesture, in reference to the unrest in nearby Ferguson, and they want those players disciplined.

Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, Kenny Britt, Chris Givens and Jared Cook did the gesture coming out to the field before the Rams' game on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Ferguson, which is 12 miles from the Edward Jones Dome, was the site of an incident this past summer when police officer Darren Wilson shot and killed teenager Michael Brown. There have been many protests in Ferguson and elsewhere this week after a grand jury declined to indict Wilson.

The Rams players made their statement on the field, and then the SLPOA had one of their own that included calling for punishment for the players and a full apology.
The NFL, in typically wishy-washy fashion, declines to make an example of these ignoramuses:
  • There doesn't seem to be a precedent for a player being fined for a gesture or statement like this. The closest comparison might be when the Dolphins fined and suspended safety Don Jones for tweeting negative comments about Michael Sam, the first openly gay player drafted in the NFL, but that was a violation of the league's anti-discrimination policies. That doesn't apply to what the Rams did.
Really? We seem to recall a number of fines against players for swearing at officials, excessive celebrations, end zone antics for dancing and autographing footballs. How about Jim McMahon for his headbands during the Superbowl? The NFL can choose to dissuade behavior unbecoming by means of massive fines. In case the NFL hadn't noticed, America is getting sick of Ferguson, disgusted with misbehavior in general and really unhappy with overpaid celebrities dictating how they're supposed to feel about an event. Get ahead of the curve.

The fact is that the Grand Jury did not find that "hands Up" story line credible. Say it never happened.

But to some people the facts of the case do not matter.

WHITE LEO shoots unarmed BLACK teen. That's all they need or want to hear.

Perhaps the police should use the "Hands Up" line with the line "Keep your hands off of our guns and we won't shoot you."

Not a fan of the players actions, but NFL players are simply a reflection of society as a whole, and we should all realize by now that the large percentage of people are incapable of comprehending the facts of the grand jury findings. That being said, the league may be irrelevant to some, but it's a money making train that can't be stopped. The league is going to make $9 billion this year. Think about how large a number that is for a 16 game schedule.

The oligarchs have their provocateurs out in full force don't they?

Too many disparate groups are aligning, tea party, Occupy Wall st.,Brown protestors, etc...

The Brown case is just the protestors tool of the day in the same manner as the oligarchs use the "if's for the children" tool for the moral high ground battle of so-called hearts and minds.

So what better way to break it all up then to promote a race war?

Time mag. CNN promoting racism. NFL joining in. MSM stories on how they intend to prosecute to the fullest Browns step dad for inciting a riot. All of which in the process demonizes the cops.

Meanwhile google Farrakahn and check out what is coming out of his mouth! Not a peep from the security apparatus on holding his words accountable.

Then we have the illegal immigration issue and if they don't get their way that shit will break loose.

Can we possibly stir up any more shit to destabilize the country like we are destabilizing Syria, Ukraine. Russia, Iran, Iraq the list goes on..??

Divide and conquer.

We're all their pawns. Their chattel. In a game of more wealth and power.

Stop supporting and spending money for any NFL events and any NFL-related merchandise.

Don't complain and then on Sunday, sit back in your Bears Jersey and watch the games.

If the stands were half-empty at a Bears game (or any other franchise) they would get the picture.

It will be easy to boycott the Bears til the end of the season because their season has already come to a mathematical end.

How about Bears QB Jim McMahon wearing that headband with ROZELLE written on it? He was ordered not to wear it. He also wore an Adidas headband when the NFL had another sponsor. Fans sent him headbands with all sorts of stuff written on them. McMahon was fined $5,000 for those headbands but I can't recall exactly which one caused the fine.

The St Louis coach, who played 5 seasons with the Bears, muttered some chickenshit statement about "freedom of speech." No freedom of speech applies when you are wearing the uniform of your employer and are paid a lot of money to appear on national TV.

Imagine if we were to wear hat bands that say "I am Derrin Wilson." Hmmm, come to think of it that might not be a bad idea. I could use the NFL as an example on my SPAR form response or CR statement. Or I could change my name to Derrin Wilson.

When Ditka speaks, all should listen. From his SlumTimes column.

Before Sunday’s game, five St. Louis Rams players took the field in a “hands up, don’t shoot” solidarity protest for Ferguson and Michael Brown.

Neither the NFL nor the Rams penalized the players for their actions. When asked if they should have, Mike Ditka said:

“It’s a shame this thing has come to this,” Ditka told the Chicago Sun-Times for his weekly feature column. “The shame of it is, I’m not sure they care about Michael Brown or anything else. This was a reason to protest and to go out and loot. Is this the way to celebrate the memory of Michael Brown? Is this an excuse to be lawless? Somebody has to tell me that. I don’t understand it. I understand what the Rams’ take on this was. I’m embarrassed for the players more than anything. They want to take a political stand on this? Well, there are a lot of other things that have happened in our society that people have not stood up and disagreed about.

“I wasn’t in Ferguson. I don’t know exactly what happened. But I know one thing: If we dismantle and limit the power of our policemen any more than we have already, then we’re going to have a lot of problems in this country.

What do you do if someone pulls a gun on you or is robbing a store and you stop them? I don’t want to hear about this hands-up crap. That’s not what happened. I don’t know exactly what did happen, but I know that’s not what happened. This policeman’s life is ruined. Why? Because we have to break somebody down. Because we have to even out the game. I don’t know. I don’t get it. Maybe I’m just old fashioned."

"How do you educate the ignorant?" Beats me. What are we to make of the ridiculous spectacle of people who toss bullets around like confetti, transforming vast areas of urban America into lethal "no-go" zones -- and who then run around with their hands in the air demanding "Don't shoot!"

Relevance? The NFL used to concern itself with professional football -- which doesn't even exist in the first place for an awful lot of people who are hard-pressed to get through their own day. Uh -- they are not high on the FEMA list of essential services to be restored immediately after a nuclear war. Let's just put it that way.

Now the elevator beatdown videos stream away, and the NFL wrings its hands over how best to become a social service agency "to deal with domestic violence," as the non-ethos of tHuG lIfE continues to spread.

The NFL is a billion dollar business reaping huge rewards for all those involved. Children often look up to ball playing gifted talented athletes. Not much has been done for all those playas that are on parole or probation. Its about the money. Mess with the talent and you mess with the money. Who cares about right and wrong, ethics and an acceptable code of conduct both on and off the field?

The playas make six figure plus bankroll and you just can’t take the uncivilized and unacceptable behavior out of their daily routines. Money talks. I wonder how many of these St. Louis Rams have had brushes with the law putting their hands up first before having them secured behind their backs prior to the booking process complete with their celebrity photos suitable for that corrections hall of shame.

Its too bad the ball players chose the side of lawlessness. If they had taken a position against current NFL practices of manufacturing team logoed merchandise in sweatshops in third world countries to create awareness of unemployment in the urban areas in this country controlled by democrats, they would be seen as true heroes. They should forgo those million dollar gym shoe endorsements until sports memorabilia products are manufactured in those numerous vacant factories that are located in urban communities across the country.

Put the urban residents to work and raise their economic opportunities by the same merchandise purchased by your fans. Many contributing factors of urban resident’s demise would be curtailed if residents were allowed to rise up with financial hope. You would cut into the money made by the franchises, but who would benefit more if the goods were made here? Would it be the NFL and its owners or the Americans citizens who seek hope and change to their individual economic blight? Would the money be best put in the pockets of the downtrodden disadvantaged or into the bank accounts of the well off owners?

Free of charge of course since most of us

...Unfortunately, this shit ain't no movie.

The irredeemably willfully ignorant are the ones being catered to and having their asses smooched by the politicians, the media and the public.

Whether its by genuine fear, political correctness run amok or abject pandering, clear-eyed and upright people are no longer allowed to dictate the societal narrative here.

The powers that be can't have such people free and unencumbered by the progressive agenda.

They might get funny notions like taking their government back and hitting the "Un Do" button
for the left wing fuckery now enshrined as national policy and such.

The nfl?

The gladiatorial class of the catered to constituency?

You average everyday people have no idea of what The Policeman has to rub up against...

Urban Saint Michael Brown was a mere morsel compared to the real "Big Creepy" that's out there.

That flesh eating m/fer that stands up twice and blots out the sky...

It's a HARD fight to go up against a monster and show restraint enough not to give in to maiming or killing him with your bare hands, baton or sidearm.

"We need help YESTERDAY squad!"

It ain't got shit to do with being scared and everything to do with survival, street sense and reading the situation where a mutant says he ain't coming along quietly.

Oh yeah good citizens...
M/Fers WILL rub up against a Policeman HARD and dare him to shut his eyes permanently for him.

"KIIIIIL MEE MUTHAFUCKAAAH! CUZ IMMA KILL YOUUUU!"

Heh... M/Fers with No Apparent Fear of Death.

No genuine fear of GOD.
No fear of upright men.
No fear of the law.

These are your masters America...

Are you still on that nonsense about The Police being
the problem?

Still waiting on that squat-to-pee-er Eric Holder to begin the long overdue dialog he's been jaw-jacking about.

Eric Holder is

FWIW, not all cops are angry with the Rams players.
"We think that their actions were commendable and that they should not be ridiculed, disciplined or punished for taking a stand on this very important issue which is of great concern around the world and especially in the community where these players work," Ethical Society of Police General Counsel Gloria J. McCollum announced on Facebook.

"The statement of the St. Louis Police Officers Association do not reflect the opinions of the majority of African American police officers in the department because there are no African American officers on their governing board and they have a minimal amount of African American members," Ethical Society of Police noted."

Screw the NFL and all the other Pro athletes quite honestly. The ridiculous salaries these guys are pulling are off the charts. They are not curing cancer or improving the world in any way shape or form, they are god damn entertainers.

These particular guys are just proving they are nothing more than uneducated hood rat trash. Passed along in life because they could run faster or catch a damn ball.

If I thought they could actually read and comprehend I would suggest they read the Grand Jury testimony.

The witnesses who corroborated Officer Wilson's version were remarkably consistent. With each other, and with the forensic evidence. The witnesses who contradicted Wilson were all over the place. Brown was shot in the back running away. Brown was shot lying on the ground. Brown was shot on his knees. Brown was shot standing still with his hands up, etc. The corroborating witnesses were black. Are they racist?

The courts have affirmed that employees have less free speech at work than they do off the clock. This stunt diminishes the game experience for the fans. People watch the NFL for entertainment, not political commentary. But don't look for that politically correct wimp Roger Goodell to do anything to these Rams.

Numerous pro athletes have been arrested in Area North for UUW offenses. These incidents should be reported on this blog site since the media will not.231

The big picture that everyone is missing in all this discord is about GANG SHIT. It has been and continues to be the main epidemic in Chicago and this country. For all I know, O'Bama (although with Irish roots) and Holder ( The Possible German) have gang ties. Michael Brown, Trayvon, Jeremiah Mearday, Rodney King, Tank Johnson and even our beloved Dorian Johnson could have consorted with Gang Members. I believe that they are cowards and even liars who would lie and give altered statements to the cop, their mothers and anyone who would listen.

I dare anyone on the left to say this is a matter of "free speech", when I have never heard one of them dispute people being fired for expressing their private opinions, off the clock, on FB or elsewhere, regarding homosexual "marriage" or taking the Biblical stance on homosexuality. They have called for people's heads, every time, for expressing these beliefs.

The Players have a first amendment right to an opinion and freedom to voice that opinion. The cops should know this and respect it.

Everyone has the right to an opinion and the right to free speech I agree. But those opinions should be left on their time not their employers. The NFL failed to respond properly in this highly violtile issue. Their actions on the field could have caused danger in the stands and could have caused harm to the spectators who came to watch a football game to forget about these very issues for those 3 hours.
So as an officer am I allowed to wear what ever I want or use hand gestures, because its my right to free speech.
I highly doubt I could wear a pin stating FUCK THE MAYOR, FUCK THE MINORITY. Or when I stop people point my finger at them and make a gesture that I am pulling the trigger on them.
I highly doubt it because it brings discredit upon the department ,just as these 5 players did to the city of ST. LOUIS and the NFL.

I choose to boycott the NFL and their sponsors, for this travesty of justice. I won't watch their games, I won't buy their advertising sponsors products, and I will encourage my family and friends to do the same, and include this message on my Facebook page, too. If all of us do that, it will cost them where it counts :)

Stores are burnt and boarded. Xanax, gin n juice, Steel 232, hot pickles in a bag, hair weaves all gone. Winding down...back to your milk crate on the curb, yellin s__t at passing cars. Like, where you was in the first place...

...where you will be next year same time...

Mmm-Hmm...
THIS right HERE.

Mixed emotions:
Really wanting to put your 4506 in play and terminally kaboom every ugly goblin in the stairwell making noise about how they're going to forcibly liberate their litter mate from your custody.

Mixed emotions II
Deep dejection at realizing you're in a brick and concrete stairwell and not wanting to be tagged with your own rounds.

Plus "ol' Stout-Mouth" is hellish loud (200gr. +p Gold Dots) to be lighting off in enclosed spaces.

Hearing "Chinese Music" and the band is only playing in your head... For days afterward.

The fight was on and The Police still won but damn...

Wonder how many if any of those funky bastards still in the land of the living are feeling the same aches and pains we are?

The shit still hurts man!

But m/fers are all on this "Po-leece be killin' up our young mens" bullshit.

Almost done and putting plenty of distance between us and well... You know...
The loud, the proud and the unceasingly "IGNANT."
